By the sounds of it, they haven't suspected the funeral home or any of the employees from the beginning. I don't know if they interviewed them or not, but they should have. If they haven't, they're a piss poor department.

UNLESS, they have reason to protect Tips

Okay, this sounds even more bizarre. I think the Keystone Cops would even suspect the funeral home first.

At this point I think it's very plausible there is something going on with Tips and LE.

ETA: I DO know the difference between there, their, they're. I swear!
