I don't think the family is doing the for publicity. Nor do I think they're doing it because they're trying to prepare for a lawsuit. I believe that they truly do not understand. Even I, and I don't think I'm a dummy, I like to think of myself as an autodidact, had trouble understand the difference between brain death and cardiac death. There's a lot of disinformation out there, which you can tell from my earlier post in this thread. They do not understand the workings of the brain. Someone needs to sit them down, and tell it to them like they're 2. Explain that people who have brain function, will try to breathe on their own. Show them EEG's that shows that she has no blood flow to her brain. Explain to them what the brain stem does, show them a image of a working brain, vs a brain that is dead. Even better, pick someone in the family, do an EEG and compare it to Jahi's. That is the only way that her family will see.
