You know I was not going to listen to him today because I find him repulsive in every manner and I am not just talking physically. He is sleazy ... and crude and crass and a one trick pony with a perpetual sneer on his face and he has shown the prosecutor and the judge disrespect in the court room. Then I thought how bravely his brothers and sisters have sat and listened to DT defame and slander Travis. So if they can stand it I guess we can too. So I am with you there

Lol hahaha I tweeted e sturdy that Juan sounds like he watched Fargo the night before because if he " dont ya know" first half of the trial.....love that movie
I want to apologize to anyone that has ever read any of y messages I cannot type on my iPhone and proof reading is not in my vocabulary
Hey, parking my bottom here to read along with closing with nurmi (zzz). Anyone notice JA's demeanour after they came back from lunch during JM's closing? Something obviously upset her, she looked quite teary and red nosed.
If the jury finds Cruelty in the Aggravation phase, the sentencing hearing will include any mitigating factors the DT can conjure up. I have not found a single redeeming quality in Stabby, and her attempt to destroy TA's character and reputation during the trial may come back to bite her in Sentencing. I am undecided about dedicating several hours to watch Nurmi, but I will watch JM's final close. I want to see Stabby's expression change, and I get an immense feeling of satisfaction watching her realize she is "losing". She has made a mockery of this trial, and I hope the jury finds her just as offensive as we do.
Does a reasonable juror believe that a naked, soaking wet man tried to kill a woman because of a dropped camera, so the woman had to kill the man three times over in self-defense?![]()

I've deleted all reference to the topic so that it doesn't breach any rules of discussion. But I expect I've still probably committed a crime of some sort because this response isn't timely either. I'm not trying to jam anything into your head. You don't HAVE to read it. Nothing's going to get jammed anywhere if you don't look.
At the time I posted, the topic wasn't OVER hours ago, it had been DISCUSSED hours ago - & I even acknowledged that. Not all of us can post when the discussions are live. Some of us have jobs. Some have kids. Some live in other timezones. Some live in completely different hemispheres. There were over 20 posts about a burp in 2 or 3 pages at around the time I posted. In around 40?pgs, I posted twice on the subject you've deemed "never to be mentioned again". 2 posts is hardly jacking the thread.
I might be out by one or two posts, but I'm fairly sure the most I've ever posted on a single discussion point on a given day is 4 posts. That's really not excessive in this thread & it's pretty normal for most in MDS. If anything, my count is below average for this thread - & unlike many here, this isn't the only one I post in. I could understand completely if you complained I was being snarky. Because I was. & that's not the way I like to treat people. So having read my own words a day later? I apologise to everyone here, because that first one was a shitty way to speak to you all & I wish I'd worded it very differently.
But your complaint wasn't the entirely valid argument that I was being a complete shit, it was that I was untimely? You don't seem to have a problem with the timeliness of posts you agree with? But maybe I'm being unfair. Maybe I somehow overlooked your other timeliness complaints. If you feel it's a pressing issue perhaps you could suggest Mike ban members from any timezone other than yours, & have anyone remaining warned that thread bumping has now been reduced to hours (or minutes for topics that REALLY annoy you, like most of mine) rather than days. That might help minimise these irritations for you.
If it's any consolation, this thread is probably about to slow back down to a normal growth rate & when that happens conversations will take place over DAYS - like they do in every other thread here. Timeliness measured in hours shouldn't be much of an issue & I'm sure we'll all be the happier for it.
ETA there is no hidden message in the pig. He was just really, really cute.

Page 4 Second paragraph.
Also keep in mind that JM showed the jury pictures of TA's skull with a bullet hole in it when Dr Horn was on the stand for the final time, along with pictures of the pudding like brain
You are getting lost in Willmott's word salad instead of listening to what Dr. Horn is actually saying.
to you. I didn't see her younger brother there yesterday, either in the am or pm. Her older brother (he looks rough) Carlton was seated behind Disco Donna in a green shirt in the am. Do you use twitter? You could check there for what news agencies are doing text alerts for the verdict.
Ann Campbell, the person she was trying to pass the "secret coded messages" to so Campbell could give them to Matt McCartney was in court yesterday for the first time. She was seated to Donavan's left (our right on live stream).
JM might be saving them for his rebuttal close.
There were so many lies/stories about lost/stolen/ruined phones I've lost track. Funny though that they never recovered the picture she supposedly sent from creepy Gus's motor home bathroom from TA's phone or his computer. That was just another lie!
Going to be interesting to see how Nurmi handles the gas cans.
She turned off her phone so there would be no record of her being in AZ. I don't think TA knew she was coming.
^That. Also telling that she kept saying to Flores that she was concerned about her "reputation"
Better have a lot of shoes handy!
JM spent the whole am destroying her "reputation"
Every time I see her smile and giggle, along with Willmott and Nurmi (who was actually smiling/chuckling When JM was talking about TA being naked/defenseless in the shower yesterday) I want JM to turn and say "You understand this is a Capitol case riiiight? That is is a serious case, riiiight"

DUI Juror #8 in the courtroom... per HLN
oh and the HLN anchor just called Juan "Ron Martinez"![]()

OH man. Juror No. 8 is back!
It's important because the defense is trying to paint the ME as a liar and/or incompetent in order to get the jury to discount his testimony. This is crucial to them because he directly contradicts Jodi's version of events. If the gunshot came last, her story is a total fabrication. If her story is a total fabrication, so is the self-defense claim. On the other hand, if the ME is lying and/or wrong, her version could be true (but it's not).
I would not worry about being "timely". We can't all sit in this thread 24/7 and sometimes we have some catching up to do. Don't worry about it.

I agree, that sums it up.
Exactly!
Perfect, thank you for this! I was worried Nurmi would say today that she returned it to the other Salinas Walmart, and that if there was a pro-Jodi juror, they might fall for it. Glad that loophole is now closed.
Perfect example. Also, thanks for the Marge pic and quote, cuz I loves me some Fargo! Brilliant flick!
(Plus it made me giggle, which I anticipate there might be precious little of today with Nurmi D up all day.)

Good Afternoon Y'all
May the Defense fall flat on their face today...
I pray for the Alexander family & friends, to sleep well & rest easy knowing that Juan Martinez, Det Flores & the state of Arizona gave their all to protect their loved ones character & memory, that special, funny, charismatic guy, named Travis we've all grown to love & wish we had the pleasure of meeting.
I, also, pray that tonight, while alone in her tiny cell, that Jodi's 300 dollar bargain basement tits, dislodge & flow up to her throat & suffocate her into a slow agonizing painful death.

Juror #8 has returned to the courtroom. He's with a woman (I assume his wife) and is seated in the gallery where #5 sat after she was removed. #jodiarias
Another limp, damp squib rather than a boom. Your criticisms of Juan Martinez seem petty in the extreme. He is too loud, too SHOUTY, too long, too short, too pointy and now he isn't a wordsmith? If Juan Martinez took as long to craft and deliver a sentence as Nurmi, he would be presenting monologues of Shakespearean standards.
Sure, Martinez doesn't polish every word. Nor is his delivery the smoothest. Despite this, without reading from notes, under the gaze of the world's media, he towered in that courtroom. Juan Martinez doesn't have Brad Pitt looks, he isn't a trend follower or very young. It is precisely because he is an ordinary guy, with flaws, that people have warmed to him. This unlikely man has become a modern day hero because of what he does and how he does it. In an age of meaningless celebrities, a man who doesn't seek attention is being celebrated. The vast majority of the public see his sincerity, his dedication and his brilliance, despite constant carping about his style from talking head defense lawyers on TV. Juan Martinez wants justice for a brutally butchered young man, his family and friends. That simple, pure, determined quest for the truth is noble. Juan Martinez has great skill. He knows how to command attention, when to ramp it up, when to tone it down. He needs no lessons in courtroom performance from attention seeking TV lawyers or amrchair critics. Martinez is the real deal.
