ALV testified she could see abuse by TA toward Jodi in his angry text messages verbally abusing JA that fit the context of her continuum.

    My question for ALV:
When you were married (still in closet) did you ever call him "a mother fucking asshole"?

    I rest my case.

She misspoke on so many things though. Wouldn't it be ironic if it was the testimony of the mitigation specialist / expert witness that tipped the jury over to guilt. Their questions sure sounded like that's where they're heading.

Personally, I don't care if she gets LWOP or DP, whether she's happy or miserable...as long as she is locked away from society. She would do this again. No human being with half a heart or half a brain would do what she has done. She's a lethal, cunning predator and should be caged like the rabid animal she is.

We all thought things could not get any worse in this trial as we watched Jodi's testimony. Then along came a doctor dick. Then along came Alyce.

And the hits just keep on coming ...

The ALV "expert witness testimony" list was interesting, thanks for posting it. Now we know for sure that what some people feared (lots and lots of child custody cases where ALV had testified being overturned), was a needless fear. It appears she was involved in only two child custody cases in the last 11 years.

One example would be the kool-aid stained car. Why did they let JM bring that up? Why didn't they ask the state if they even tested the kool aid stain? They (the def) just let the Budget guy bring it up and once he did-nothing was ever said about the kool aid stain again. So in some weird way-they let the kool aid just float around without disputing it. If I was a juror, I would assume the kool aid was blood.

The budget guy said there was no floor mats in the car. The attorneys never even bought up the fact that the "check in" sheet doesn't list that it's missing floor mats. Jodi was never charged for missing floor mats (unless there is a sheet that I haven't seen)

The hair color argument is shaky at best. JM can't really prove it, and Nurmi hasn't disproved it. It's just floating around. [SNIP]

Those are just some of the reasons I think Jodi has a good case for an appeal (if she is found guilty) I don't think it will do any good-and I think if that happens it will be well in the LONG away future.
    Hope that made sense?
I don't think the rental car arguments were really much of a miss. While the stains in the car and the missing floor mats are slightly interesting, I don't think they are very important, now that Jodi has confessed to killing Travis. If she had stuck to either of the first two versions of her story (she wasn't there or ninjas did it), stains in the car and missing floor mats could be critical. But since Jodi admits killing Travis and disposing of evidence afterwards, I don't think those details about the rental car matter much. Choosing to rent a car matters, and wanting an anonymous colored one matters, and the missing and upside down license plates matter, because those all go to premeditation. But stains in the car and missing mats are both after the murder, so not that critical, imo.

I've always thought the hair color argument was not that critical, since a conviction or lack thereof is not going to be decided on whether or not she dyed her hair.

I actually think the defense has done a very thorough job with a terrible fact pattern and a super difficult client. Plus, they have to have spent at least 1.5 million just on the defense portion of the festivities by now. They object constantly, they attempt to get mistrials constantly, they even managed to get two experts to totally support Jodi's version of events in every possible detail. Personally, I find it extremely unlikely that Jodi could ever win an appeal on the basis of inadequate counsel. She will no doubt ask for one, and every other appeal she can think of, but I don't think she could prevail on that theory.

Perhaps she will switch to a religion that wears the wedding ring on the right hand? She seems open to sudden religious changes, and Greek Orthodox adherents wear their wedding rings on the right ring finger.

For example (this is not a real exchange, but is obviously being used to show how ridiculous ALV was being):

Juan: Do you like the color purple?
ALV: I used to know someone who wore purple sweatpants. They were totally fugly.
Juan: Ma'am I didn't ask if you know anyone who wore purple. Or sweatpants. I asked if you like the color purple.
ALV: One time I was wearing a white shirt, and I accidentally spilled wine on it. What a mess!
Juan: Ma'am, are you having trouble with the question?
ALV: I don't like your tone. You're mean. You need a time out!
Juan: I didn't ask...Ma'am. Yes, or no. Do you like the color purple?
ALV: Well, it's not a yes or no question.
Juan: ....Yes or no. Do you like the color purple?
ALV: Well, I'm trying to answer, but you're being a dick. I just said I can't answer yes or no. It's complicated. What shade of purple are we talking about? I love lavendar but I hate that blue-purple. It's my least favorite color in the crayola box, to be honest.
Juan: -manages to refrain from throttling the witness-
This is PERFECT. That is just exactly what a lot of the exchanges with ALV were like.

I agree. Sometimes it seems very crooked, but there are other pictures (while she was testifying) where it is totally straight.

Lots of people will testify during mitigation. Disco Donna is in charge of organizing that portion of the trial. ALV might be called to testify some more about how Jodi was abused and therefore should be spared from death.

Those matches turned into matches because of ALV avoiding any answers. Anything she said hardly pertained to what JM asked in the first place. Her favorite statements were the question is not a yes or no. Look at the part when he asked if the word stalking was on her continuum paper. All he asked was if it was printed there. What a three ring circus that turned out to be. Every answer contained a Travis bash, even though it had nothing to do with JM's question. I'm sure the jury must have picked up on this.

Some other lawyer might not have grilled ALV as much as Juan, but he eventually got his points across. Alyce herself caused those grill sessions.

He has to know whether the buttfuck was consummated or there's going to be a mistrial. No one's really sure at this point. We need Bobby to testify to set the record straight on this important issue.
That issue is low priority. The priority is proving she stalked and it was premeditated. Finding out how many times she had anal sex is not the main point.

If only Ryan could remember the bandaid locations. I'm sure remembering that was not his nor anyone's priority, but he did notice them. This girl must carry a box of bandaids as standard equipment.

Very true. JM demolished Alyce and Samuels and I'm very glad. I believe he could have accomplished the same result in a slightly different way though.

The prosecutor has one speed and I believe that contributed towards Alyce's defensiveness from the get go. That and of course, she was coached on what to expect.

I prefer a strategy where one builds up to their "a ha" moments so they have greater impact.

Okay, how's this for a theory.....

Like everyone I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what is going with Alyce and testifying on Mon/Tue - After watching the Judge again in her instructions to Alyce at one point the Judge nearly says "the State" then changes her mind. So the I think the issue is one the State brought up and I don't think it has to do with her approaching Travis' family. I think it's a complaint aimed directly at the witness and something very serious which leaves her under subpoena, unusual as she's finished testifying as the end of juror questions clearly show, and having been told multiple times she must show back up in court unless otherwise instructed.

So this is what I think. I think Juan has threatened to charge her with perjury and the Judge will be holding a hearing to decide if there is a basis for this, hence Alyce having to return to testify to clarify her statements.

That's a good guess. My guess is that it has something to do with Alyce approaching Sam, or the HLN people.

Of course, it would be funny as hell if JM plans on calling Alyce as a rebuttal witness. Maybe JM knows Alyce wants to leave bad, and JM told the judge that as soon as the defense rest...he plans on calling Alyce. There were a few questions he tried to ask her-but Palin objected b/c they were beyond the scope of the jury questions. Maybe he wants to call her to ask her a few of those questions.

I think it's some sort of hearing without the jury present. I only hope she's in a lot of trouble. IMO
If I was a taxpayer in Arizona, I wouldn't be happy paying for her so-called expert testimony. She was so biased, and besides lying, she was argumentative with the prosecutor. Contempt of court, really the comments she made to JM (are you angry with me) with her cheerleaders ready to laugh it up, qualify for it. She also asked for that break 5 min. before break time when she approached Samantha Alexander. She seemed to call for a lot of breaks when she was on the stand, it shows such arrogance. No wonder, Judge Stephens didn't want to hear any excuses.

Just read on justice4travis site that a poster named 'geebee2' is trying to change the Killing of Travis Alexander article on Wikipedia. It appears that she's extremely involved in JA defense & a major advocate & contributor to the JAII site. A few alterations she's suggesting:

    - "She was miraculously spared after the assailants gun misfired which gave her time to flee the home, naked, but she did not make any attempts to get help for wounded Alexander."

    - "Why is there no info or even a mention about Travis Alexander's parents being drug addicts?"

    - "I suggest there should be some mention of the defence (sic) case. The article is current rather one-sided, with a long section "Discovery and investigation" but nothing almost nothing on the defence side of events.

    - "I also suggest avoiding sources such as ABC News and CNN-HLN Network/Turner, who have a financial interest and are not neutral POV. Instead use associated press reports, or reports by the local reporter Michael Kiefer." (doesn't believe they're reliable news sources?)

Then Geebee2 writes that the site states JA pled guilty --- so she "changed that" & she suggests "that we change the article name to The State vs Jodi Arias".

Also found geebee2, author of http://jodi-arias.wikispaces.com/

ETA: this may be the same nutjob that that wrote she's been checking out all the forums & message boards, taking screenshots of negative JA comments & sending them to the FBI

The Hughes didn't like Jodi b/c she was strange and did strange things. I was reading all the transcripts of the police interviews over at WS, and found this.

    06:35
JA: And I should have just known better and admitted it. I eventually learned how to argue with Travis and it?s...

    06:39
DF: Talk to my wife. She?s like okay fine you?re right...

    06:42
JA: Yeah. Eventually that?s what I began to do with him. It?s like the more I just agree with him the sooner the argument gets over and the sooner we can make up, and the make up was always great. Umm?but, umm?there were so many times I just couldn?t wrap my mind around what he? I could? but I would try to get him to do the same for me?like there was a time I broke down on the way to LA once when I was going to watch Chris Hughes do a training, umm and this was January, umm mid January maybe of 2007, and my car got a flat tire, so I had at the time roadside assistance cos my car was still under warranty, and they went to take the car in to change the tire and realized that when they sold me the car they didn?t give me the wheel lock key

    07:20
    DF: Oh man?

    07:20
JA: for anti-theft wheel locks so? I had to get a hotel room, I had to get my car towed, it was a big nightmare ummm and I was kinda? hungry, it was dinnertime, it was 7:38 and it was dark cos it was January ummm?and the tow truck guy said you know there?s a Denny?s two blocks down here, and there?s a Jack in the Box there and he was driving me to the motel I said is there an IHop around, cos I really like IHop he?s like yeah but it?s like 5 miles back in the other direction. I was like uhhhh? okay. He says I can drive you there if you want. And I was like... he?s like this short Mexican guy and he seemed really harmless and I was like? ahhh okay and he, you know, I asked him about his life and he had a wife and kids and? so he wasn?t flirting? or he had girlfriend or something?

    08:02
DF: he?s just trying to be nice to you

    08:03
JA: Just being nice. And so I ended up telling, and he didn?t ever say anything inappropriate. And then he drove me and dropped me off and that was that. And umm?and I got to eat. And so I told that to Travis and he didn?t say anything at first but it got back to Sky and sky was like why didn?t you call me and then I think eventually that was used against me to establish a pattern that I do weird things like that.
So, umm that?s something we had arguments about a lot was umm he?s just like?

    08:31
DF: So he was really upset with you about that. He felt a little jealous, but?

    08:35
JA: And?I? I?He told me once that he was a little bit jealous when he found that I went on one of those dates but he said I know we?re not dating. And he?s like I guess I am a little bit jealous, but with these other incidents he says it just concerns him because he thought that I would get myself into a situation where I?d get hurt because I have that sort of attitude. And I was really? since I joined Prepaid I?ve really trying to break out of my bubble and do things that are a little uncomfortable as far as umm? ummm? talking to people and you know I made a resolution this year to overcome a few fears that I have that I?m really scared of?and I think that by getting into that a little that I can overcome some of that. Umm but his... he did act jealous, but he wouldn?t say he was jealous. He would just say he was concerned.

DF: But he would tell other people about it?

    09:24
    JA: What do you mean?

    09:25
DF: Did he tell Sky Hughes?

    09:26
JA: Oh, yeah, he? I guess it got? I may have told Sky about that.

    09:30
DF: But they probably had a conversation with him and he probably voiced his opinion

    09:33
    JA: They had many conversations.

    09:33
DF: ?on how he didn?t like it.

    09:35
JA: I know that him and Sky had lot of fights and arguments and it was? and I was the root of that a lot of time, but I think, you know, all in all, they? especially more recently they got along a lot better. I think she gave him a really hard time about our relationship, so it?s one of the reasons he really wanted to keep it under wraps.

[QUOTE=Sayub;3389901]Not sure what you're looking for re Bobby Juarez but . . . you do know he's dead?

Two years later, Juarez murder remains unsolved

Robert Juarez is a pretty common name. The one that was killed is not Jodi's Bobby. Check the photos.

The thought of JA getting love letters and (almost certainly) marriage proposals and gifts (maybe money) while sitting in jail with LWOP is almost enough to make me pro-death penalty

I know he's NOT dead... that story, is one of a few recklessly regurgitated @ The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial FB page... but, to their credit, they retracted it in Feb. of this year:

quote: February 28 at 7:47pm: "I've taken the Bobby Juarez post down. It appears he may not be Arias' ex (Bobby Juarez)"
    link: https://www.facebook.com/Justice4Tra...36805213062293

and BTW it's not even that it "may not be Arias' ex" (Bobby Juarez) it's really: "a (possible) gang member in San Diego named Bobby Juarez was shot and killed and we just assumed, without doing due diligence, that it was Arias' ex, Bobby Juarez."

    San Diego Bobby:
"On July 10, 2008, Robert Juarez (see photo) was shot and killed by a man who approached him on foot..."

    "Jodi's Bobby"
Robert Joseph "Bobby" Juarez born 12 Jul 1977 was living in Weed, Calif. (20 miles from Yreka) in 1996 when he met Jodi Arias, and was Matt McCartney's roommate in Medford Oregon (that's how Jodi met Matt, while visiting Bobby). The best evidence I've seen is that Bobby Juarez is living/hiding out on the island of Kauai, HI. but there is no doubt he is alive.

allegedly these are relatively recent photos of Jodi's Bobby Juarez

compared to older photos of Bobby Juarez with Jodi Arias

(look at the ear and eyebrows.. pretty compelling that's it's the same person)
