Why would one need to "grapple" with these questions? Nobody makes someone a killer, you either have that in you or you don't. Circumstances and what happens in your life don't lead you to become something, they just add to the reasons that justify your actions.

My aha moment was when I saw her with Detective Esteban Flores describing how Travis would shave the old fashion way laughing with her feet under her legs.She was talking like he was alive.I knew then she was mental and scary weird and she killed him.

I don't think we should assume the state has resources to scour the net for leads. I called the prosecutor's office last week re the video, expecting many must've called before me, given it was late afternoon the day after it's release. The lady who answered the phone appeared to be hearing it for the 1st time. I think we should choose wisely what we use their time to call about, but the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, I can only imagine, must be overwhelmed, especially with all the minutiae and lies the defendant has them sifting through. So, when it's important, I say err on the side of assisting, & DO call. You can remain anonymous

My aha moment was early on in the trial before she took the stand, when JM put up the autopsy pictures and while she was pretending to cry she kept stealing glances at the screen to see her handiwork. Couple that with asking to see the body photos in her first interrogation....she's remorseless and dangerous.

Does anyone want to discuss what might have been going on for TA to have sent these messages? Maybe some of it had to do with the money she owed him? Maybe she said she was bringing those checks over personally (wonder if there were funds in the account to cover them, since she knew they would never be cashed anyway). Perhaps that's how she got T to agree to a visit. The checks plus a little nookie, not a bad deal.

Martinez will be returning to this soon, I hope. The timing of these texts and the reasons behind them are crucial. Alexander's disgust and outrage at her must have been noted by the jury.

If so, a caller on Jane Velz-Mitchell, called that specific Wallmart and asked about return policy. First, they told her that a receipt was required for a return. And secondly, they would mark return through the item.

I am not sure the store would refund in cash, if she used a credit card. I don't know..

I believe the call started out by her bringing up people's names just to see if Travis would say something bad about said person (I forget names), but that was my first inkling that she was going to use that tape to blackmail him. If she hadn't slaughtered him so brutally or confessed, stating the reasons you give above - providing detailed, credible, believable truth, she would have had more Understanding. Travis' whore/madonna view of women is disturbing but sadly, not as rare as liberal society would like it to be. Arias knew she was gambling by providing sex whilst playing the pseudo -pious card. She lost as Travis wanted the madonna for a wife. He wanted to be revered in a religious community that valued squeaky clean. Travis was a hypocrite, as was Arias. Lots of people are. He binned her. Rather than chalk that down to bitter experience, learn and walk away, she removed all of his options. He was eradicated from her life.

Maybe she's just playing dumb, you never know who could be calling with what :)) I can't remember if it was on MDS I read this, but I'm pretty sure a few calls were made to the Pro's office re the video last week sometime. If you post elsewhere, maybe you were one of those I read about.

Thanks guys. We did the Spring forward bit too at school, Ian1, but DST begins at 2.00am on the last Sunday in March in most of Europe. So 'till the end of March, it's business as usual over here then, not sure why I was getting so confused, maybe i go into a fog.

I do not think so as it came out in cross, so it would be rebuttal, and I think you can add stuff based on testimony... I understand that filing motions is discussed first then filed, so I am sure defense and court knew it was on the way...

Revisit that! I can't see that question about the SLC gas can/purchase being telegraphed to the Defense in any motion. It was a neat strategy devised by the Prosecutor to trap the witness. And it worked!
