No one has made the case that Travis deserved to die for using Jodi for sex and playing mind games with her like saying he didn't want to marry her, was looking to get married, and then having sex with her. I'm not sure why everyone is arguing that. Maybe the defense is trying to show that if Travis had this whole secret life apart from what people knew him to be - a 30 year old virgin - then he also could have had a violent streak and temper that they didn't know about. It bothers me that people are so biased that they are looking for every opportunity to see an expression on Jodi's part as signifying something. She cries - it's crocodile tears - she doesn't cry - it's being a cold bitch. Even when I think someone did something as I do in this case, I try to keep an objective stance and it seems like most people don't care to. They want to read into everything through a biased lens and that's a big reason why the court systems don't work and people who really are innocent get convicted. People just aren't capable of being objective, as nice a concept as "innocent until proven guilty" is.

    Well said.

I wish I could edit that message, sent accidentally while I was fixing it....I love learning all I can about forensics. I have so many medical books about forensics and sociopaths, I would be a hoot on here if I was ever murdered.

My phone keeps throwing me off, so I'm off for the night. Have a good one. This has been interesting. Carry on.

Thanks!! I'll mention it to her.

I agree with this, only I think she shot him first but she saw that he was still alive, and she freaked out that he wasn't dying and started stabbing him. She felt like he wasn't dying no matter what she did and so slit his throat as well.

Hey! I didn't start taking college seriously until age 24, and then I rocked it out. I went right after high school and had no idea what I wanted to do so I had no motivation. I didn't have parents to pay for it, so I wasn't about to keep wasting my money... I dropped out and bartended and partied until it was out of my system and I knew more about life. Committing to a degree program is just as scary to me as getting married. It will put you in debt and change your life forever.

    I regret nothing.

I would think that would make more sense as well, but the shell casing was sitting ON TOP of a pool of blood, meaning the blood was already there. I guess it could have been kicked there when the body was discovered, but in the pic it does look like its embedded, meaning the blood was wet... so who knows? Either way, she is a damn loon. Stabbing, throat AND shooting. How dead did she want him?!?!?!

It makes more sense to me as well (that he was shot first) even though the evidence doesn't really support it. But couldn't the shell casing also have been kicked into the blood during the struggle while she was killing him, and then embedded? I missed most of the prosecution's case so I'm not sure what happened where.

Oooo I wasn't going to say anything but I'm a therapist and have just been sitting quietly gathering information on these two...when I am off on Tuesday and have had a little more time to think about the psychodynamics I will post my honest and best assessment.

Damn, lots of discussion on here considering there was no trial today. Finally got caught up!

Lucky for me, I saved my super-busy work day for the no trial day. Next week is gonna suck though--I'm gonna be swamped at work all week and I just know Jodi will take the stand...

Someone be sure to YouTube it for me.

It could have. But if it rolled it would still be covered in blood. Also, if he took a head shot he wouldnt have been able to put up a fight... there was blood everywhere. A head shot would have incapacitated him immediately. I have to go back and look, but did they find blood spatter? If not, it was most likely rinsed away in the shower. It she shot him when he was standing up, it would probs be above the stream of water. Also, was the bullet in his head or through and through? I dont remember.

The bullet was lodged in his cheek. No exit wound.

    Also, Welcome!

Yes, so if she shot him first, it was probably when he was sitting down in the shower. My thought is that she shot him after dragging his body back into the bathroom, just to make 100% certain he was dead.
