Its my opinion that after their "session", there was an argument. Probably about the trip. She probably thought their little romp changed things. "I" believe she stormed out and he got in the shower. She went to the car for the weapons. I think the shower pics caught him by surprise. Maybe she wanted them to show other girls.. to "ruin" things for him. Blackmail. He probably did grab at the camera. Maybe she really did drop it. Im not sure what the autopsy says about the gunshot, but the casing is on top of the blood, so he was attacked first. What I am sure of is that first blow did enough damage that he couldn't fight back. I believe his fight or flight took over and he tried to get away. I think the frenzy came when he didnt die as quickly as she anticipated. Thats when the flurry of stabs came in. Once her adreneline got her to that point she couldnt stop. I guess the gun shot was for good measure. Who knows?

The part I can't understand was hearing that her cell phone pinged in kingman around 630? (I think that was the time). There is no way to get from mesa to kingman in an hour. No way. Period. Kingman is just before the nevada border. At least a 2.5 hour drive. Maybe the time stamp on the camera was off? Maybe I heard in error. I dont know. I just know that isnt possible. I have made that drive many times.

What I see is a lame 5 month relationship with a stage 5 clinger and he regretted it. I don't think Travis was the type to be blunt and say "back the fuck off crazytown!" He wanted to be liked. He just had no clue what she was capable of.

It haunts me to think of his last moments, how horrible it must have been for him in that instant when he realized what she was. Ugh.

as far me thinking the peen pics are not travis' is because the fingers in the pics liik african american and travis was whiter than white - and far as travis being made out to be perfect by his family and friends - i think when you lose a loved one in such a horrific manner it is human nature to only think about all the good and none of the bad - do i think he was perfect no - have i dated worse - yes - was he treating the women he dated the best he could? i don't think so - but the one thing i keep remembering about travis is that he had such a horrible childhood - he had no role model to teach him how to treat women and how to have a successful relationship - i think he was trying to learn by trial and error - i do think if he had lived, he would have met that strong minded women who wold have taught him the right way to reat a women and have a successful relationship - and as far as jodi being his dirty secret?? i have seen friends who do this - "he says we are just friends and don't want a relationship, but i know deep down inside he really loves me and is just afraid of his feelings, so i will just keep sleeping with him til he comes to his senses" -

I agree with all of this Harlette, especially your interpretation of Travis' relative inexperience and trying to learn by trial and error. I don't see him as a dick at all. I don't think he's a saint, but I'm pretty damned old and I haven't met a saint yet - don't expect I ever will either. Maybe I just run with a bad group of people but none of my friends are on trial for murder or anything.

I think the "dickiness" Glasshat refers to is pretty typical behavior for someone struggling with issues of spirituality, sexuality, relationships, etc. It doesn't make you a "dick." Maybe it's because I grew up in an era of extreme sexual freedom, but I don't think dating two people (and sleeping with one) when you aren't married or engaged to either of them makes you a dick. It was pretty common back in my single days.

I have always thought that he knew she was there (the initial pics seem posed) but that he got tired of it and told her to knock it off. Possibly she began taunting him. Maybe he got upset and sat down in the shower (the last pics are of him sitting and he looks upset in the very last pic of him). Possibly he got up and knocked the camera out of her hand, then she went batshit.

She can start as a crime scene tech at a community college. I did that here in Glendale Az. I then moved to SD (for a boy, blush. stupid) Then came back to AZ because i couldnt afford to live out there. ASU has fantastic programs. And Phoenix has a new morgue and state of the art forensics lab. Its a good career, but it can really get to you sometimes.
