Well, I def. don't agree with guilty on all those charges. I don't think the state proved their case. Jmo.

The state proved he was sex addict. I was 100% sure he did this on purpose before the trial began. NO ONE could've changed my mind of his guilt before the trial. However, during and after the trial the only people that chaned my mind about him doing this on purpose WAS the state. Don't get me wrong Connor and Ross's wife deserved so much more than who Ross was. He was a selfish sex craved human that makes me sick. He deserves to be held accountable for the illegal things he has done but I truly don't believe he did it on purpose. I am not a fan of his..... I wonder if this lessens the blow to LeeAnn..... Thinking about it I'm sure nothing anyone can do or say will ever lessen the blow she has endured. Thinking of her and Cooper

Was everything in the trial made public? Is there maybe evidence that we aren't aware of that contributed to the decision? Cause, yeah. It's hard to believe they found him guilty on everything.

if the state held anything back, they are incredibly dumb because they really didnt have much evidence against him.
especially since their specialists came across less than stellar during the trial.

...were these jurors seeing the same evidence (or lack thereof) as the rest of us?

    Holy crap. I can't even.

It's like the election all over again.

Wow, I wanted him to cop a few, but all is heavy - I'm with Boston, maybe there's something we're missing? I still think he planned it, I know I'm on the lone on that (I know the searches were bullshit, but the bubs/explanation etc gives me the urks).

Verdicts never surprise me anymore. Juries are unpredictable, and you never know what they will decide. I've gotten shit for saying that before, but seriously, I've watched shows where jurors were interviewed, and they say/hold onto the most inane aspects of a case.

If they used the video of him putting the light bulbs in his car as a determination of his guilt, they obviously failed miserably.

This one does get to me, because even though I don't care for Ross as a person, I can put those feelings aside and realize Cooper's death was probably a result of Ross's neglect, and not murder.

Whoa! Guilty on all counts! I'm shocked -- I didn't think the state met its burden of proof at ALL.
Then again, we the audience were privy to a lot of information that the jury was not.
The LawNewz commentators were gobsmacked as well.
Lots of fodder for the appeal.
RIP Connor ... though I think the jury got it wrong, I sure hope they didn't.

However, I don't believe they had enough evidence to determine that.

People on one of the Facebook pages for this trial are saying that fatty will be sentenced to the max prison in Jackson, GA. Why would they think that? I have a friend who works at that prison and really bad people like Bryan Nichols is there. I don't think of fatty as a violent offender.

    I thought about this hard

The ONE thing we didn't see was the parking lot video when he dropped the light bulbs in the car.

Considering that's one piece of the evidence the jury asked to re-see during deliberations...I bet that's what convicted him.

Now I want to see the video. Initially I thought he planned it. I even argued that the life insurance money would help provide for a fresh start for husband and wife to go their separate ways. I watched the testimony and changed my mind on it being a planned murder. I think he was so obsessed with sex, that it was difficult to keep his mind on tasks at hand. He's a horrible person and his wife and child deserved better, but I don't think he intended to kill his child. I wonder if the video would change my mind again.

Facebook post from the ex wife

JUSTIN ROSS HARRIS' EX-WIFE FULL FACEBOOK POST
'For those of you who want to know if I am ok. The answer is no. I have not been "ok" since the moment I was told my son was dead.
'I have not been "ok" since the moment my life was put on this path that has led to Ross being found guilty of maliciously murdering our child.
'So now you may be saying "justice has been served." And you are allowed your right to that opinion.
But guess what, you can convict every parent that this has ever happened to, and I can promise you 2 things...#1 it will never bring our children back and #2 it will not prevent this from happening in the future.
'Next summer, as this begins to happen over and over again, ask yourself, "what can be done?!" The problem is not the parent! The problem is a society that refuses to believe this can happen to them! Wake up! Accept it! And by accepting it you will be protecting your child! I don't care what your opinion is in my situation.
'I don't care what your opinion is of me! It does not matter! Your opinion will never bring back my son. So called "justice" will never bring back my son. Nothing will ever take that pain away. And nothing will ever feel worse than living with the knowledge that his pain and his death could have been prevented.
'Be the wise parent, and accept that this can happen. And you will never have to walk the path that my family has had to walk. And I pray YOU never have to walk this path."

During a post-trial conversation with attorneys, jurors said they were almost unanimous in their decisions at the outset of their deliberations. Those on the fence wanted to discuss the case more fully, he said.
In what was described by court officials as 'spirited' conversations coming from the jury room, deliberations stretched over four days for slightly more than 21 hours. With 1,150 items presented as evidence, several jurors said it was the totality of the evidence rather than one element in particular, Boring said.
Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds said his prosecution team hoped at first that Cooper's death was not an intentional act. Cobb investigators believed 'something is very wrong about this case,' he said.
'Today is not a victory, nor is it a day we celebrate,' Reynolds said in his statement.
'Today is a monumentally sad day. I believe justice was served today on behalf of young Cooper Harris.'
As for Harris' ex-wife Leanna, Boring said his office would 'leave that to the Cobb County Police.'
