I started it (Spy) the other night, and I liked the beginning. I think I'll check it out tonight.

They have the whole set up where she has to fill in for him, and hijinks ensue, right?

My 60-70yr old aunts deeply hated the raunchy sex scene(s). I haven't seen it, but they hated her crudeness. I laughed at them for going to see a Shumer movie and complain about crudeness, but they had no idea who she was.

Can you not? Your critiquing of peoples taste in movies is getting really fucking annoying. Just because I don't rave about every piece of shit they put in the theater doesn't mean I dislike every single movie that's ever made.

It's honestly my own fault for coming here looking for movie ideas. Sorry I disrupted things. Carry on with the hate fest. I'm out.

Good, you've been bitching in this thread for like seven years. Just Movie Talk doesn't mean 'Only Enthusiastic Movie Recommendations!' People who like movies have opinions on them and why they were or weren't good. Film is a pretty major hobby/interest for some of us.

Yeah and I actually would like to know if a movie is so fucking horrible it's not worth seeing, so I can save myself the $30 it takes to go to the movies, or 3 hours of my life I could be spending doing something that doesnt suck..

I just saw Minions with my daughter who is 42. We liked it because we're still in touch with our childish selves.

Hope to see Train wreck next week

I love them. The audience this afternoon ranged in age from older teens to 60s.

Also I had been at this theatre last week ..... I noticed a change in the programmed commentary before the movie that addresees no talking, no cell phones. It was added that if you see a suspicious person to report same and pointed out the exits .... disturbing that this caution is now required.

Just saw trainwreck ..... loved it ... Amy was wonderful as was Bill Nader, Tilda Swinton and LeBron James.

Amy and Bill had perfect chemistry I think ... both can portray sensitivity and are so damn likeable.

We watched Get Hard the other night.

Not nearly as funny as anticipated.

    Get Hard looked really racist.
White guy is going to jail, needs to learn how to survive so he enlists stereotypical black thug? Ummmm if a white guy is going to jail, he is googling Which White Supremacist Gang Is Right For Me, but I guess a movie about learning to be a neo-Nazi isn't as funny.

yeah. how come no one is up in arms about this movie. i watched one preview and was like what the fuck?

my dad wants to go see straight outta compton. i'm going to see it with him. he's a big music fan, but also a republican who dislikes rap and hip hop. i'd think it was odd that he wants to see it, but he likes learning about the history of music so much, it kind of makes sense.

Saw The Gift this afternoon .... interesting psychological thriller without grisly gratuitous violence.
Well acted, well edited ... enjoyed it.
