Welcome, MomEof4 and her daughter!
Very creepy. You might have caught a micro-expression when her true self was showing. Not something I imagine you will ever forget. Chilling to see one with it's mask off, isn't it?
So you were the one trying to see what she was writing!I bet it is some kind of book deal or interview deal. Otherwise all the note taking doesn't make much sense. While Jodi can't profit from her crime, I doubt there is anything barring her family from doing so. Since the family is allegedly poor, and now the father might not be able to work due to his illness, perhaps Jodi set it up for her mom to make money so someone will be putting money in her commissary account? I would not put it past Jodi to think of something like that. I think Jodi manipulates her mother extensively.
Patti is the one who dresses very inappropriately for court and usually appears to be either high or drunk. If the only character witnesses she can get are drug addled Patti and a fellow jail inmate, Jodi is in deep doo doo.

I believe the only way she can get possible parole is if the decision is left in the hands of the judge, who has the option of that sentence. But it is very unlikely to end up with the judge having to decide, and for all her bending over backwards for Jodi, I still don't think the judge would choose life with the possibility of parole.

I agree, her clothing, makeup and accessory choices are often wildly inappropriate for court. It not only makes her look unprofessional, but it reflects badly on her client as well, which is even worse. Her clients depend on her to try and help them avoid the death penalty, which is obviously a very serious matter. It is shocking to me that she would have so little respect for the solemnity of the court and her client (even if it is Jodi).
For example, today she was wearing numerous bangle bracelets on one arm, and a huge mod blingy wristwatch (similar to what Nurmi wears) on the other arm. While that might be an acceptable amount of arm jewelry for a Real Housewife of New Jersey, or a basketball wife, or a Tiajuana hooker, it was not appropriate for a serious professional in the courtroom. And last week (I think it might have been on verdict day), she was wearing what absolutely appeared to be a sleeveless bright red cocktail dress with black lace detailing.
Courts in my neck of the woods would not allow such dress, the chances of a judge speaking to her, possibly even in open court in front of everyone, about the need to dress professionally would be fairly high.

Not sure if I am agreeing or disagreeing with you, but I think I am agreeing :P
The day the Freeman's took the stand for the defense & opened their mouths... I felt a sour bitter taste in mine.
It was totally apparent to me they were in total support of JA & showed little if any for Travis.
I feel the ONLY, absolute only, reason that Dan is now siding with the state, is because of the backlash, I am totally assuming he & his sister received from the public, maybe even family & friends. I hold no respect from either of them.

The law varies from state to state, I know. In the state I live in, we don't have DP......Murder 1 carries an automatic sentence of LWOP. I assumed that, because the jury was deciding DP vs LWOP, the option of life with chance of parole would be off the table (and a slap in the face to the jury, if they've decided it's serious enough to warrant DP consideration) I think the Judge would catch hell if she went with the lesser option.

I think Dan Freeman was truly fond of Jodi, before the murder of Travis. When he testified, I got the impression that it took him time to accept what she'd done, but I found his testimony to be very truthful. His sister, on the other hand, was a dimwit who seemed to show NO emotion. Very flat affect. I'm glad he has taken the stand on the side of Travis. He seems like the sort of guy who tries to see the best in everyone.....and there was none to be found with Jodi.

So sorry... I know, I am being a serial poster & never ever wanted to bear that title.
So I will go to bed & stop for the night. But not before this one last comment.
I think if/when Patti takes the stand or wherever they make statement to the judge/jury to save the life of the monster JA, it will be a HUGE FAIL.
Remember when they had her on one of the HLN shows, on a phone interview? She could barely speak or put words into sentences & I can only imagine what she looked like & what expressions she wore.
So that in itself, will be comical to watch. And knowing that I will probably require a full box of kleenex while hearing Travis' family plead, the train wreck I am imagining w/ Patti, will lighten my day.
OK-- so goodnight y'all, sleep tight![]()

Finally. If I thanked you all individually, I'd be here for a good long time. So here it is to each and every one of you in one collective message. Thanks for appreciating the efforts Faq Brillig Denver and myself put in to keep everybody in the loop. I'm proud as hell to part of such a fine group of folks.

Juan better look out. The killer looks like she wants to go at his head with a knife. (or she's wants to go all Stabby on him) Which ever language you prefer.
you can tell from her attire she is a "LIME light seeker". She was always trying to quiet everyone down and had many that responded exactly as Ian and DC did, and she likes to hobnob with KW and Stacy, I have pics of her with them in my album, which you can see by clicking on a photo.
Nice reporting DC! (I added the photo of the defense trio from a couple weeks ago)
Well I want you to get in so I won't make your head swell any more
I thought your second JVM interview was post verdict, or was that a third one? You got your feet wet the first time you were here with channel 3, you are a pro now!

I get that... although he does know she's guilty as sin. He said the other morning that he thinks there are two Jodis.
I just feel like he's probably a really nice guy (he was in all the interactions I've had with him) and easy prey for someone like Jodi. She saw him coming for miles away. He was an easy target and she knew he'd throw softballs at her in an interview. She manipulated him.
Don't forget--Travis believed in Jodi, too. Sadly, that's why we're all here...
Absolutely! I totally get that. It was just that she had gone on and on about Travis' abuse and threw in the pedo stuff to boot. That was the first thing I thought of when Troy was asked if he believed her. I'm positive he doesn't believe that part of her story- (if any) I just wish he would have been a bit clearer on what part he "believed". That, "yes" answer kinda stung.
I also think Jodi has a crush on him (Who wouldn't?! The guy is a hottie biscotti!) and that had to have helped his access to her a bit. He lobbed soft questions to her, I'm sure, because he didn't want to ruin a good thing, and keep the love going between them. (Her perceived love). I'm ok with the whole interview. The only part that kinda stung me was that "yes" answer.![]()
So well thought out and, sadly, probably true.
This is so well thought out. The details are convincing and I agree with all of your points.
This reminder of that outburst reminds me of how arrogant Jodi, the mitigation specialist, and LaViolette all seemed during that part of the trial. Contrary to what they probably thought, their condescending attitudes toward Juan were only making Jodi look even more unlikeable, and themselves even more unprofessional.
(On my last post, I meant to make only one comment on both of NCBlonde's two posts... sorry for the redundancy.)
Ok, I dug up Troy's interview with her before she took the stand. He was either swayed towards her or played her to get the endgame interview.

I know I am way behind on this today.....just getting caught up with testimony from today. I just got the the 2 minute pause. Whewww that was incredible. Sooooo emotional. I got goosebumps and teary eyed watching and staring, I think those 2 minutes are going to go down in trial history. Juan is amazing.
@ ian, faq, brillig & denver......i haven't seen your comments on it yet. It must have been an incredible moment.
Whewwwwwwwwww amazing.
