This. They're taking too long when that's all they need to focus on was the intent to kill even if it was just seconds or minutes. (even though we know it was more than that). There was time to ponder and she made the choice to finish him off with the throat cut. JM laid it all out there for them.
I can see them having issues with DP or Life but not guilt. They're taking too long.
ETA: I predicted they would be done by tomorrow afternoon. But now that I sit here and think about it, I think it should be sooner - as in within a few hours - but maybe my prediction will come true.

She couldn't afford to pay attention, never mind a lawyer. She claimed, on the witness stand, that she was consulting a lawyer over the BMW and trying to blame it whoever helped her load on the dolly at the rental place (UHaul?)
She kept repeating "I was consulting my lawyer like had one on retainer. She's so outlandish and ridiculous!
Also remember who is on the jury.
There may be a couple that want the free food. Also there may be some that saw 12 angry men too many times.
Yes, I would think the verdict would be online @ the same places the trial was streaming live.
About the roomates, She knew their schedule and knew one would return around 6p. So she knew how long she had to clean and get out.
About the gas can, she testified that she, "brought it back to the same store. It was the walmart next to a starbucks." There are only 2 walmarts in salinas. I'm sure Juan checked that store for a return but because she said it ON TESTIMONY even elaborated about it. This is a great link with both Nurmi and Juan asking JA questions, as well as jury questions.

BTW she wanted cheap gas OUT of state, yet she filled up all of them in southern california, the most expensive gas in the country. Weird.

Good point, I had not thought about the AC running and the noise that would make.
No kidding. Pedophilia does not work that way. Pedophiles aren't into 6 year old boys AND 12 year old girls AND grown women with large fake racks. It just does not work that way at all.
Mean, funny and true. A trifecta!
Actually, the jury is specifically instructed that during the deliberations about guilt, they are not allowed to consider the penalty at all. From the jury instructions:
JURY NOT TO CONSIDER THE PENALTY
You must decide whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty by
determining what the facts in the case are and applying these jury
instructions.
You must not consider the possible punishment when deciding on
guilt.

Wow. I did not remember that. SMHElizabeth Erwin @elizabetherwin 5m
Jurors in the #JodiArias trial have already deliberated longer than the #OJSimpson jury.
Is there a way to get a text only when the jury has reached a verdict?

for those waiting on the verdict..Seems AZ. takes their sweet time. #jodiarias Here's a good read on AZ. jury's bit.ly/13nWPTL
After the many months of trial, months during which the rest of us are free to opine and vent to our heart's content, the jurors have direly pent up emotions. They have not been allowed to review testimony or evidence with each other during the trial, nor with anyone else, not even their spouses.
Juror #5 on Jodi's jury was let go precisely because the defense successfully argued she had revealed an opinion.
So what tends to happen on the first day in the privacy and freedom of the deliberation room at last is a spewing forth of emotions and opinions. The discussion, such as it is, will be chaotic and emotional. Only later, when the 12 have been able to process their feelings about the gruesome photos they have seen and the hours of testimony they have sat through with poker faces, will they get down to work.
This, I have often seen, is the time when the awesome responsibility of what they are about to do sets in. In the Arizona juries in the above cases, rather than simply taking a vote, they systematically start going through the evidence. They make sure they each understand an item and they will deliberate on its meaning.
And then something similar occurs with the jury instructions, too. They may read and re-read different portions of the instruction, persuading each other along the way.
