I see Juan's methods as "Professional as FUCK". (no offense) He [I]seems[I] angry, but as soon as there is an objection, or passing papers marked as evidence back and forth, he maintains his composure. He keeps it professional, yet on the verge of teetering on a perceived edge. I'm sure intimidation is a useful tool for him to utilize during his difficult task of questioning. It's a style he's taken on over the lengthy experience he's put into his career.

I don't think he's very personable. He's not in it to make friends. He's not aware, or he doesn't care, about any ego, what-so-ever. He's in it strictly to play this game, and win. This game, with a referee called a judge, and two teams, the defense and the prosecution. Team Travis and Team Jodi. They pass the ball back and forth and call fouls and time-outs, just like any other league of game-players. The verdict has nothing to do with justice, or morals - it can't. That's not how it's set up. It's set up to award the team who played the game better. It's sad, but that is just how I see it. I hope Team Travis wins, and I believe they have a good chance, since our star-player, Juan Martinez, keeps it "Professional as FUCK" and plays by all the rules. Respect.

I think when Juan resumes his closing arguments it will be tough for the family when he describes the murder.
One thing that drew me to this.case was him, his zeal and passion for the victim and his utter contempt for the murderess. I see him as a champion for justice as a part of his being. He is charismatic not in a physical manner but in an intellectual way .... can't express it properly but he is an eloquent advocate for the victims on whose behalf he pursues justice .....

The Prosecution also exaggerated, or lied, or typo'd, or fluffed parts of their case. It's what attorneys do. They take what they have and make an argument. Both sides are using whatever tricks they can.

I think you are being unfair. There is a big difference in a typo and a lie. We all make typos, just read the posts on this board, there are dozens of obvious typos daily. Or people who left out a word, or included an extra word, but their meaning is obvious from the context. (Example: Juan is great, I adore him, he is all about justice! He will make sure Jodi does not get what she deserves!) In that statement, when we read it, we all know the person obviously meant to say that 'he will make sure Jodi does get what she deserves'. Is the poster a liar? Obviously not. People make honest errors, like typos, all the time. If you look at the context, you can often clearly see what statement was actually intended.

So Dr Horne made a typo in his report. He goes on and on about a gunshot wound to Travis' head. He talks about where the bullet entered, and where it ended up, and the path it took. He obviously saw and believes that a bullet went into the brain, traveled through, and came to rest in another part of the head. So the fact that he made a TYPO in the sentence about the dura mater does NOT make him a liar, or a fraud, or a bad doctor. One line of the report says "The dura mater was not penetrated". From the rest of the comments and context about the gunshot wound, it is obvious the dura mater would have to have been penetrated. Anything else is nonsensical.

Would it have been better to not have a typo? Of course.
Does the fact that there was what is obviously a typo make Dr. Horne a liar? NO, it does not.

I hold The State to a higher standard. You expect criminals to lie. But I don't expect a medical examiner to make a critical contradiction in a sworn report in a death penalty case and call it a typo. I don't expect a detective to change his ideas to get in line with a lawyer. That is disappointing.

A TYPO is not a critical contradiction. Period.

I hate Martinez's style, I hope that's obvious. I just imagine how much better I would be doing this. Juan's presonality is repulsive (angry, resentful, mistrustful, loud, volatile) which makes it much harder to follow his arguments and support his ideas. He is always angry. He might get a conviction but it will be from the evidence (excellent) and not what he has done with it (adequate at best).

I disagree, I think Juan's personality is great. He is brilliant and passionate and comes across as fighting for justice. You see anger, I see passion. You see resentful, I see disgust at DT shenanigans, especially dragging Travis through the mud. We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

I agree a typo is the misspelling of a word ,I have been chastized since day one for my spelling on this thread.This is not a typo.This is an addition of a whole word" not" a tiny small insignifact word on it's own but when added to this contexted sentence changes the whole meaning of said sentence.That's not a typo.
