Alyce has done an almost unforgivable thing.... She let her personal feelings and greed interfere with a professional assessment and she won't recover.

She presented herself as a professional and her own actions (not Juan Martinez') brought her to ruin. I don't care for the personal insults, I care that she was a disgrace to the mental health professionals who do complete proper evaluations and give a valid opinion based on practices.

I'm still amazed at how stupid both ALV and Dr. Dick were, giving her books and even a magazine subscription (ALV). They were both experienced with doing forensic evaluations and testifying in trials; they must have known these things would be a problem. Maybe they figured they would collect their money either way so what the hell... The other thing is the book Dr. Dick the PhD chose, pop psychology self-help. Really lame, Dr. Dick...

i am amazed and shocked that an expert (ALV) could cherry pick emails like she did and leave sooooooo much out - thats just wrong, on so many levels - and i wish dr demorte had brought up more of these emails in her testimony - since thats the only way they could be brought into the trial.

I'm surprised you find that shocking. DeMarte did it too as did Dr. Dick. You can find an expert to say pretty much anything you want if the money's good enough, that is nothing new.

Ok, my thoughts on Skye and Chris Hughes. I like hearing what they have to say. It puts pieces of the puzzle together for me. At least we're getting more information. I'm all for them going on whatever show they want to. Yes, Skye seems like a busybody, but usually nosy people get good info. I don't mind that at all. It's sure helpful. We wouldn't know this stuff unless they were there telling it to us.

With Abe too, I just don't see any reason for him to be on television. He went on one date with Jodi and now he's on tv a couple times a week talking about it? Yes, when Stephens pronounces the sentence she can let Stabby have it although based on her fear of appellate issues I doubt she'll say what we all want her to say. I'd love to her hear call Stabby out for lying to the jury, trying to blackmail the State and the family into a manslaughter plea with her promise to trash the victim, his family and his friends.

I think Jodi was dragging Travis in this picture and knocked the camera which then took the photo. Has any one else thought this or was it said by Martinez it could possibly be this scenario? Maybe I missed it, Thanks. I haven't posted in a firum before, hopefully this is in the right place!

I know many of us take shit from our friends and family about being into this trial, and I admit that I can become a little fixated (Shocking, I know). But, this trial is mainstream news as well and this type of exposure brings a lot of attention from many places. I have worked with a few residential treatment facilities for adolescents and the mental health professionals I know are more disgusted than we are.... She disgraced the very field that she professes to know and care about. This has very little to do with her association with a murderer, it was her practices and her findings that are so despicable.

Alyce isn't an expert, she's an advocate, she proved that on the stand. With every new revelation about Stabby and her behaviors it becomes clearer of just how Alyce cherry picked and twisted things to be beneficial to the defendant.

ETA SD stands for Secure Digital when you are referring to the card TYPE it refers to SanDisk when you are talking about brand names (confusing, yes?). So it's quite possible to buy an SD SD card but there are many other brands of SD card also. We own San Disk, Kodak & Olin SD cards as well as others. San Disk make Memory Sticks too, but they CANNOT be used in the same devices. Ever.

Regarding the bullet shell. Does anyone recall if there was any followup about the shell sitting on top of the congealed blood. When she was shown that picture, she stated that's not where the shell landed. So, if it landed elsewhere and was kicked onto the blood spot, why didn't she pick up the shell and take it with her?

And if she remembers that the shell casing did not land there....well, didn't she say she didn't know if she had shot him? If she saw the shell casing on the floor, there was NO fog.

I was thinking maybe Travis's family would call her out during victim impact statements for all the things that couldn't be admitted because they were "prejudicial" (fuck that) and sociopathic and awful.


But I am also worried that Jodi might become very antagonistic after sentencing. The level of hate she must have to have killed him was pure, there was no reasoning and rationale.

When she tears him down in the courtroom, she has made/is making horrible accusations, said awful lies about him--such hateful things, but she does it in a detached way because her fate has not yet been decided. When she figures out that she is truly and legally fucked for eternity, I think she'll shock people again with the vitriol. At that point she has no reason to suppress it or bite her tongue. This is a malicious, immature, and lethal person who can't cut the sarcasm, eye-rolling, sarcastic tweeting to save her own g-d life.
