I, too, was sucked in to Dr. Drew (sigh) and the term "emotional blackmail" really resonated with me. This makes a lot more sense when it is coupled with his childhood history. The poor man didn't have a chance.

Wasn't talk of self harm/suicide a part of BPD? There's several stories of her talking about suicide from her mom in the interrogation tape to Sky saying she threatened it to Travis.

Poor guy. He probably kept dealing with her so he wouldn't feel responsible if she did kill herself. He was probably hoping she would attach to someone else eventually.

I saw this on the evening news on local channel 3 (azfamily) but could find nothing on their site or any other but this one. The live news said that he was within a mile of his home on a residential street, going under the speed limit and weaving into a bike lane. This article states that his wife was with him! I wonder if she was wasted too. If not, why would she let him behind the wheel?

I find it interesting how "certain people" are going on a media tour after accusing others of seeking the limelight. On TV every night.

I have outed myself as a gunshot first believer! There are others that are staying low key about it based on the private responses I have received. The hearing in 09 was during the ninja story. When she went with SD, the theory changed. Because if the ME were to say that it is possible to still function after the GS, then any juror buying her defense could believe that he was still a threat after she shot him and still needed to defend herself. It could go both ways. They could also deduce that shooting him while sitting in the shower was NOT SD. And that she planned to continue the attack there, but he did crawl out and momentarily get up and Horne never definitively said that would be impossible because there are other instances of it.

eta: Travis' defensive wounds appear as if he was flailing, with impaired cognitive ability and vision impairment. Managing to knock the knife down and get down the hallway.

Shower door is closed on the face shot, opened in the shot 70 seconds later. Who opened it? Why would he open it while still seated? How could she stab his VC from the side? Even peripheral vision would show something coming at you and you would go for the block. He would have been alerted to her attack the minute she opened the shower door. BOOM goes the gun. It was supposed to go through the center of his head, but goes through the front of his face.

If you think I am beating a dead horse, okay, but I think I am discussing what a juror may think. Because others have indicated to me they think the same. And in the end it does not matter because this scenario still portrays premeditation. I think the State should have stuck with it, but they did not want anyone to conclude she was still defending herself w/knife.

Bullet casing on blood helps state; but it could have dropped from counter or been kicked. That I must say is the one thing that makes me 1% think otherwise with the theory, but 100+% sure of premeditation.
I posted a pic of the family home, it is comparable to Grandparent's home. It would not cost that much to drive a Uhaul 1k miles. More like under 1k.

All his siblings had the same upbringing. I wonder if any of them needed therapy? They probably do after this though.

RE juror #8, I think he was let go for mentioning he was on the jury; he might have been running off at the mouth about the trial, and the officer had to come in to report what he said. He was arrested for Extreme DUI, not just DUI. AZ has just about the strictest DUI laws in the country. JM is not the boss of his office and does not handle DUI cases. Talking about the case and what was said is what I think got him removed.

I'm kind of "meh" on the Hughes. If anything, they complicated the prosecution's case by buying into the pedo letters. Now they're eager for airtime with very little info beyond the fact that JA eavesdropped. They shouldn't interject themselves any further, IMO, as they aren't doing much to move the peanut forward. Same with Abe....he met her once for dinner and is now a regular on Dr. Drew.

I have the same problem. It doesn't matter what the situation is, if I'm nervous or uncomfortable I tend to smile and giggle. I hate it.

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster (Don't be overwhelmed by the originality of that statement! ) But I thought I might finally jump into the crazy since we're nearing the end of the Circus, and I've enjoyed reading this thread so much!

In relation to Sneakers statement above, which I've tried to quote properly, but probably made a balls of it, I'd just like to add my 2 pennies. I've long wondered if Stabby had decided long before she left for Yreka that she was going to kill Travis. Sure she was fucked up financially and all that. And I think she blamed him and everyone else for her fantasy life, (or should I Travis' life?) not coming true for her. So their is that financial element. But I also think that she might have moved back to Yreka simply to put distance between her self and the murder. If she'd still been living in Mesa then she would have been, without doubt, (not that there ever really was any, with the evidence collected against her) that she was the Prime Suspect. But if she was living a 1000 miles away, at least there was that distance, so to speak. At the very least, it would buy her some time.

Of course, I'm more than like than likely talking through my asshole.

Another thing I was wondering. I saw all of JM's Opening Statement for the first time earlier today. He mentioned on the night of May 28th (the date of the staged burglary at her Grandparents' house) that Stabby had sent Travis an email that night...and it was the first time there was any mention of Cancun in anything written between them (texts, emails, IM's etc). And it got me wondering...did Little Miss LovesToTalk, mention the break in to him? I mean, if she was all innocent and shit, wouldn't she have mentioned that to him? That's something "big", and most people would be telling everyone all about the break in. Just to share their "lived to tell" type tale! Something tells me she didn't. And for good reason...there was no way in hell did she want him to know that a gun had been stolen. Because at this point Travis seemed to seeing some of Stabby's true colours.


I've just got one quick question! And I'd love to if anyone here could answer: After the verdict and sentencing are done with; does Judge Sherry get to give a sort of "summation", like her thoughts on the whole thing? I'd love to hear what she really thinks of Stabby!

Ok, my thoughts on Skye and Chris Hughes. I like hearing what they have to say. It puts pieces of the puzzle together for me. At least we're getting more information. I'm all for them going on whatever show they want to. Yes, Skye seems like a busybody, but usually nosy people get good info. I don't mind that at all. It's sure helpful. We wouldn't know this stuff unless they were there telling it to us.

Ok, now Abe. Abe's a good guy. We have a mutual friend. He's got a serious gift of gab and really should think about radio or TV. (More money in TV Abe, just in case you're reading) I think that's why Dr. Drew keeps calling him on. He doesn't call Dr. Drew, ever! They call him. Most of the time he just calls in because it's too much trouble and time to go all the way down to their studio- even tho they send a driver. Dr. Drew likes him. I do too. And you are right, it's awful. Whenever I argue with anyone I always giggle and that just makes them more mad. I try not to but it's impossible. And yes to your question on BPD. It's definitely a part of it.

For the most part I agree, but overall i like hearing info on TA and JA's relationship. I dont t rust anything jodi says, so it helps understand their situation better
