I think your analysis is spot on. Especially her journal entries noting that he made her sick. Wasn't there an entry on 9-2-2007 where the language in that entry referred to cutting off the life source, kill all that is not serving her, eradicate etc. All the action words in that entry refer to killing.

She had the upper hand cause she had the weapons. How it went down I don't think we will ever know.

What really bugs the CRAP out of me is the know it alls around here that misconstrue content, even though I may have written it poorly, I think it is obvious I think she did it all. I have posted long ago how fit she was, core strength doing the headstand, jogging in Yreka, Ryan saying she had surprising strength when she adjusted him. I even posted that I, a little lighter than she was, dragged my 170 lb. husband but it was not easy for me cause I am way older so Ron would get off it.
Someone driven by rage could easily do this. She got in a couple of lucky blows. I don't know that she stabbed Travis in the heart right away, but she could have started stabbing him when he was on the floor of the shower, and when he tried to stand, she got in the stab to his heart, which would have immediately started to weaken him.

I do think he managed to disarm her and/or knock her over. That's where her "body slam" story comes from.

Based on the trajectory of the bullet, I'm just not convinced he was shot first. I think he could have crawled, but I don't believe he could have gotten to his feet to be able to spew blood all over it and the counter top.

Jodi just got lucky with where she hit him, and that prevented him from being able to fight back as well as he could have.

Every friend, co-worker, and family member of Travis talks about how they told him to get away from her, that she wasn't marriage material, that she is a a nut job. So, with all this pressure from virtually everyone in his life, he still let her in the house on June 4? What is even more puzzling, is that this is after she fucked up his car (that she was going to pay for), slashed his tires, broke into his bank accounts, stole his passwords, broke into his house.... OMFG, the list just goes on and on.

There is nothing, I mean nothing this man could have done to warrant what happened to him. Travis was attacked and died in a horrible way: bloody, alone, and in pain. Jodi planned and executed this murder and I believe she will pay the ultimate price. There is no defense that she could present that would justify what she did, but I can't help feeling something is amiss here.

When I first started to learn about his case, I just couldn't understand why this guy would let her in the house after all this shit. I know many people say that she was throwing her snatch at him and he just wanted a piece, but this is after the bitch fucked up his accounts and messed up his game with other women. Add his own experience with the pressure he was getting from his peers, and I just cannot believe that Stabby would be worth it, no matter how hot she was in the sack.

Travis seems like he was a good guy who was giving, loving, and successful. He also seems a little immature and very inexperienced in the ways of women. Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying he deserved what happened, but I think it is important to acknowledge that Travis was human who had challenges along with all the great qualities.

I have spoken to a lot of my guy friends about this case and they are freaked the fuck out by Stabby. I mean they are genuinely scared of bitches like her and a lot of them have had experience with women who have similar qualites. Jodi has that Madonna/Whore thing going on, she is extremely manipulative, and she used to clean up okay. She seems to have that really scary quality of morphing into whatever a guy wants and it very well might be that Travis was just overwhelmed. But if all of Travis' friends are being honest about how he really felt about her, then I just don't get why he would let her in the house. It is hard for me to fathom that a 30-year old man would wanna hit it that bad given what he knows.
There are ALOT of women out there that operate just like Jodi and are kooky crazy more than guys want to admit.Travis thought he could FIX her but she was far more broken than his woman expierence could handle.A little arrogant on his part but hey all guys have a little arrogance in them.

Faq_q, you're one of my favorite posters, for what that's worth! You provide a lot of insight and do it in a "regular guy" kind of way. I hope you get to see the verdict live...but have fun in Cabo. Look up the Cabo newspaper and see if they've been reporting on this case, they may have been following it too.

Yeah, me neither. Besides being stupid and childish, it's boring as hell. I'm sure it makes some of you feel better to vent, but it gets really, REALLY boring after hearing it about A THOUSAND TIMES...
You wouldn't hear quite as much of that if the defense hadn't been dragging their feet since opening statements. Besides, just about everyone has a pretty good reason to hate the skank! It's hard not to let some of those comments fly when you've become emotionally invested in this trial for such a long period of time and heard how the defense has put Travis Alexander on trial. I have "what if'd" this case more and more as of late and I should probably just stop it....

You may be right and Travis was too forgiving, but even ALV stated that Travis was afraid of Jodi.... Maybe he thought he could handle her if something happened, I don't know, but this part of the case has always confused me and left me uneasy. I am not so sure she didn't sneak into his house and wake him up.... All this does not negate the circumstances of what Stabby did to him, but IMO, one of the things that is so compelling about this case is that it is a cautionary tale. Travis was a lot more secretive than he wanted those around him to believe; his image was everything to him and he cultivated it very carefully. All the videos and even his own writings reinforce that he liked being thought of as "the 30-year old virgin". Hey, we all want others to see us in the best light possible, but this man's secrets may have cost him his life and that makes it even more tragic in my eyes.

Maybe you should step away from the computor .Being emotionally invested in a case where you know no one and are an outsider looking in should be just that. Will you feel cheated if she gets life? Really?I don't hate her and nor is she a skank .She's a murderer and she needs to recieve her punishment for what she's done but people who want her dead because they are "emotionally involved" worry me as much as those who think she's innocent.Do you and I want justice .....sure ...but if she gets life it has no effect on my life.Try to keep a level head.I'm just saying back

TY for posting the blinkoncrime link. I have never seen it, and it makes very interesting reading. The author has significantly more knowledge of technology than I do, and yes, I do think she is questioning where the pics originated. I am going to continue reading through the articles and posts there. I have been on the emotional bandwagon of GUILTY 1st degree, but I try to be cognizant of the benefit of hindsight. I am not objective at all anymore. This case has been a complete turnaround for me - I formed my opinion mostly on the emotion of detesting JA. I have been easily distracted during the trial, and I no longer remember many of the details. Everything is suspect in my mind except for the fact that she killed TA and planned it. Whether or not she gets convicted of M1 is another issue. Stabby is so devious and repelling that all I see is her transparent attempt to avoiding consequences at any cost. We have the advantage of discussion and humor while the jury has had nothing but the facts as presented in a confusing way. It is concerning that she may get something less than M1. When the trial started airing on TV there was a lot of discussion about the conservative nature of AZ juries, so I try to keep that in the back of my mind when cheerleading with this squad. At this point I don't think closing arguments are going to be a clean sweep for the State. I want them to be, but I have watched enough of this trial to know I will be let down. All I want is for the piece of shit to get a M1 conviction and give TA's family some peace and rest from this horror. They have class and dignity that I would never have under these circumstances. Any outcome other than the DP will devastate them.

I won't be disappointed if she gets life, although I believe she deserves death. When you follow a case for 3-4 years you form opinions about the parties involved. It also infuriates me that TA is more on trial than the skank that killed him!

Why was juror #8 removed over a DUI? Isn't he innocent until his day in court?

What I'm thinkng is Travis had never met anyone like Jodi. He never met anyone who so freely gave up her cookies. He was in a whole new world with her and she made sure she kept it interesting for him. He wanted to marry a nice morman lady, but I guess he just couldn' believe he'd find someone as sexual as Jodi and that's exactly what she wanted too. She went out of her way to do things with him that he knew he probably couldn't d with a nice morman girl. I think when he first met her, he had no idea of how freaky she was. Yes, he probably should have let her go, but when he finally told her, look what happened!

Not buying that. He had a telephone conversation with Det. Flores a year after the autopsy to clarify his views on the wound sequence and whether TA could have been conscious after the GSW, in preparation for a hearing the next day. In which Flores was going to testify under oath as to his (Horne's) opinions. He might not recall the details of the conversation but to claim no memory of any conversations, ever? I call bullshit on that.

I don't think their relationship, on Travis' part, boils down to only sex. He had broken up with her because he KNEW she was not for him and her issues were more than he could handle. However, she lived 1000 miles away. Her showing up on slaughter day probably rattled him, but I'm sure he knew their interaction would be short-lived. She was "driving through" and then she'd be gone. More than likely he thought the more time away, the distance, not answering as many of her phone calls would eventually just lead her to move on. I don't think anybody *really* thinks somebody would actually murder over a brief relationship. Why did he sleep with her that last day? We know how she is. She's manipulative, seductive and a liar. We don't know how she seduced him and he obviously fell for it. He probably just kept wishing she would leave already. A weaning of Jodi, so to speak. He was a forgiving person. And as someone else said, look at HIS background. His mother had so many faults and demons, but he loved her nonetheless. It may be true for Jodi. She's fucked up, yeah...but separate from her and be kind to her. She gave him a check and may have lied her dang head off about making things right with him. Who knows? In my mind, it all lies on her. He died because he was a good man and his murderess is evil.

As far as the wound sequence goes, Det. Flores testified about that under oath at a hearing on 8/7/2009, after having a telephone conversation with the hunky Dr. Horne the previous day. Whether or not the mistake was Dr. Horn's or Flores', I personally MUCH prefer it to be Flores' mistake over Dr. Horn's. Horn's testimony is critical to the case. The jury would easier forgive Flores for a mistake like this than they would forgive Dr. Horn. If they had Flores take the fall, then it was for good reason. Or, Flores was the one who goofed. Either way, Flores had to own that one.

Hmmmm we will never know.
There is SO much we won't know unless someone close to Flores or Martinez writes a book about all of the evidence that wasn't shown to us. I'd be first in line to buy that book! After this is over, I'm hoping that info will get released to the media. Hope Hope Hoping!! There's been chatter about Paul Stern lately. I'm trying to put the question out there to find out if he was, by chance, a rebuttal witness for the state; but got the boot by the defense/judge. Seems there were 5 witnesses we didn't get to hear from. Chatter is that one was Paul Stern. If so, that really pisses me off! We'll see if I can get someone from one of these news agencies who are digging up info to tell me. ALSO, Jodi says she got her nails done in Salinas. Who knows. She got a Brazilian wax job from the same place. (Interesting that more didn't come out about that in the trial) 3 hours could have been the wax job and the hair dye.

What he got was a whole ball of crazy, mixed in with someone who blurred the boundaries too much. He had sex with her, but I don't think he was so crass as to say, "No way will I take you to Cancun". I don't believe that was even brought up. Jodi killed Travis because he made her sick, and because she was being held back by her 'love' for him. She said so in her journal, and even though I think she lied in some parts of it, those particular entries have a ring of truth to them that I find disturbing.

We need more men on these threads to describe this phenomenon. As a woman, I too have questions on how she got in that day- AND was allowed to stay for so long. He def. was afraid of her. There were warning signs that he didn't miss. I think we need more men to talk about this. A guy's perspective is much appreciated!! Could he have just been the promise of more sex? I mean, he hadn't had any sexy time for a month or so (when previously he was having quite a bit of it)?? Men are kinda weak when it comes to that kind of stuff. We need more men to try to explain what he could have possibly been thinking.

Dear Lord in Heaven! I refuse to try to look for tootsie pops in Jodi's vajayjay! From what I can remember (after I scrubbed my eyes with bleach) is that it looked really dark in there.... But if anyone wants to try to look for candy in that pinata, go for it!

I think the proof of him actually failing a sobriety test is pretty much proof enough. If he failed the pee test, and blood test that they make everyone take once they're booked, it's a forgone conclusion that he was under the influence at the time of his arrest. Plus, the defense can later complain if they didn't remove him. I think his removal was because they had to remove him for the sake of the case.

I thought this was interesting. It's from someone who interviewed Chris and Skye (before Deanna took the stand). I guess it was a surprise to everyone that Travis and Deanna had a sexual relationship. So in the interview, Chris and Skye say that there was no sex between Travis and Deanna. - But it tells some interesting stuff about Jodi and her pedophile claims and how Nurmi lied to the Hughes'.

Wasn't it John Kerry who famously said "I was in favor of that, until I was against it" or something like that? Same with the lovely Dr. 'I would never say that' Horne.

After that 2009 hearing where Det. Flores testified under oath that it was Dr. Horne's opinion the GSW might have been first and TA might have been conscious after the GSW, with Juan Martinez there representing the state and offering no objections to the testimony, the judge issued a ruling. (Judge Sally Duncan, who was handling the case at that time.) It said: 'The State presented evidence that the victim, Travis Alexander, was first shot on the right side of the head with a .25 caliber handgun and that bullet lodged in his left cheek. This wound was not fatal and may or may not have rendered the victim unconscious. The victim did not remain unconscious based on the infliction of other wounds and the location of blood-spatter evidence in the bathroom sink and blood in the hallway."

The prosecution's original position was GSW first, based on Dr. Horne's opinions and the blood evidence, later changed to GSW last. Why? Who knows...maybe after Jodi came up with her self-defense story? But yes, Horne's opinion did change from 'GSW could have been first' to 'GSW had to be last and I would never have said otherwise, oh and BTW I have no idea what that Detective was talking about, I don't recall EVER having a conversation with him about this case.'

through" and then she'd be gone. More than likely he thought the more time away, the distance, not answering as many of her phone calls would eventually just lead her to move on. I don't think anybody *really* thinks somebody would
actually murder over a brief relationship. Why did he sleep with her that last day? We know how she is. She's
manipulative, seductive and a liar. We don't know how she seduced him and he obviously fell for it. He probably just

kept wishing she would leave already.
ITA .....Your FINAL SENTENCE SUMS it up perfectly...good vs evil. It is pointless to constantly question why he let her in. We will never know but it speaks more to his goodness than his being foolish as some posters insinuate. I get the sense he was a good man trying his best after a very difficult childhood. He retained his goodness of spirit. She was empty, a soulless shape shifter.

Quick question, when did Travis get his PPL ring?

On the sex tape JA mentions that Abe hopes TA gets his PPL ring. Is this the same ring JA stole?
