I think your analysis is spot on. Especially her journal entries noting that he made her sick. Someone driven by rage could easily do this. She got in a couple of lucky blows. I don't know that she stabbed Travis in the heart right away, but she could have started stabbing him when he was on the floor of the shower, and when he tried to stand, she got in the stab to his heart, which would have immediately started to weaken him.
I do think he managed to disarm her and/or knock her over. That's where her "body slam" story comes from.
Based on the trajectory of the bullet, I'm just not convinced he was shot first. I think he could have crawled, but I don't believe he could have gotten to his feet to be able to spew blood all over it and the counter top.
Jodi just got lucky with where she hit him, and that prevented him from being able to fight back as well as he could have.

You wouldn't hear quite as much of that if the defense hadn't been dragging their feet since opening statements. Besides, just about everyone has a pretty good reason to hate the skank! It's hard not to let some of those comments fly when you've become emotionally invested in this trial for such a long period of time and heard how the defense has put Travis Alexander on trial. You may be right and Travis was too forgiving, but even ALV stated that Travis was afraid of Jodi.... Maybe he thought he could handle her if something happened, I don't know, but this part of the case has always confused me and left me uneasy. I am not so sure she didn't sneak into his house and wake him up.... All this does not negate the circumstances of what Stabby did to him, but IMO, one of the things that is so compelling about this case is that it is a cautionary tale. Travis was a lot more secretive than he wanted those around him to believe; his image was everything to him and he cultivated it very carefully. All the videos and even his own writings reinforce that he liked being thought of as "the 30-year old virgin". Hey, we all want others to see us in the best light possible, but this man's secrets may have cost him his life and that makes it even more tragic in my eyes.

TY for posting the blinkoncrime link. I have never seen it, and it makes very interesting reading. The author has significantly more knowledge of technology than I do, and yes, I do think she is questioning where the pics originated. I am going to continue reading through the articles and posts there. I have been on the emotional bandwagon of GUILTY 1st degree, but I try to be cognizant of the benefit of hindsight. I am not objective at all anymore. This case has been a complete turnaround for me - I formed my opinion mostly on the emotion of detesting JA. I have been easily distracted during the trial, and I no longer remember many of the details. Everything is suspect in my mind except for the fact that she killed TA and planned it. Whether or not she gets convicted of M1 is another issue. Stabby is so devious and repelling that all I see is her transparent attempt to avoiding consequences at any cost. We have the advantage of discussion and humor while the jury has had nothing but the facts as presented in a confusing way. It is concerning that she may get something less than M1. When the trial started airing on TV there was a lot of discussion about the conservative nature of AZ juries, so I try to keep that in the back of my mind when cheerleading with this squad. At this point I don't think closing arguments are going to be a clean sweep for the State. I want them to be, but I have watched enough of this trial to know I will be let down. All I want is for the piece of shit to get a M1 conviction and give TA's family some peace and rest from this horror. They have class and dignity that I would never have under these circumstances. Any outcome other than the DP will devastate them.

I won't be disappointed if she gets life, although I believe she deserves death. When you follow a case for 3-4 years you form opinions about the parties involved. It also infuriates me that TA is more on trial than the skank that killed him!

What I'm thinkng is Travis had never met anyone like Jodi. He never met anyone who so freely gave up her cookies. He was in a whole new world with her and she made sure she kept it interesting for him. He wanted to marry a nice morman lady, but I guess he just couldn' believe he'd find someone as sexual as Jodi and that's exactly what she wanted too. As far as the wound sequence goes, Det. Flores testified about that under oath at a hearing on 8/7/2009, after having a telephone conversation with the hunky Dr. Horne the previous day. The call was to discuss Dr. Horne's findings in preparation for the hearing. Det. Flores was asked at the hearing what Dr. Horne's opinions were about the wound sequence and whether Travis might have been conscious after the GSW. Det. Flores answered that after speaking with Dr. Horne, his (Dr. Horne's) opinion was that the GSW could have been first and that Travis could have been conscious after the GSW.
I think it was rather a douchebag move for Horne to get on the stand and say "I don't recall ever having a conversation with Det. Flores about the case" when asked about those statements, throwing poor Flores under the bus. Flores had no choice but to take all the blame for those statements on the stand, saying he "must have misunderstood" Dr. Horne. Very shabby move by Horne, IMO.Whether or not the mistake was Dr. Horn's or Flores', I personally MUCH prefer it to be Flores' mistake over Dr. Horn's. Horn's testimony is critical to the case. The jury would easier forgive Flores for a mistake like this than they would forgive Dr. Horn. If they had Flores take the fall, then it was for good reason. Or, Flores was the one who goofed. Either way, Flores had to own that one.
There is SO much we won't know unless someone close to Flores or Martinez writes a book about all of the evidence that wasn't shown to us. I'd be first in line to buy that book! We need more men on these threads to describe this phenomenon. As a woman, I too have questions on how she got in that day- AND was allowed to stay for so long. He def. was afraid of her. There were warning signs that he didn't miss. I think we need more men to talk about this. A guy's perspective is much appreciated!! Could he have just been the promise of more sex? I think the proof of him actually failing a sobriety test is pretty much proof enough. If he failed the pee test, and blood test that they make everyone take once they're booked, it's a forgone conclusion that he was under the influence at the time of his arrest. Plus, the defense can later complain if they didn't remove him. I think his removal was because they had to remove him for the sake of the case.
I thought this was interesting. It's from someone who interviewed Chris and Skye (before Deanna took the stand). I guess it was a surprise to everyone that Travis and Deanna had a sexual relationship. So in the interview, Chris and Skye say that there was no sex between Travis and Deanna. - But it tells some interesting stuff about Jodi and her pedophile claims and how Nurmi lied to the Hughes'.

It said: 'The State presented evidence that the victim, Travis Alexander, was first shot on the right side of the head with a .25 caliber handgun and that bullet lodged in his left cheek. This wound was not fatal and may or may not have rendered the victim unconscious. The victim did not remain unconscious based on the infliction of other wounds and the location of blood-spatter evidence in the bathroom sink and blood in the hallway."
The prosecution's original position was GSW first, based on Dr. Horne's opinions and the blood evidence, later changed to GSW last. Why? Who knows...maybe after Jodi came up with her self-defense story? But yes, Horne's opinion did change from 'GSW could have been first' to 'GSW had to be last and I would never have said otherwise, oh and BTW I have no idea what that Detective was talking about, I don't recall EVER having a conversation with him about this case.'
