Personally, I have not seen her shed a tear. I saw evidence of crying twice but have yet to see her actually do it. Attempts, yes. Real tears, no.
Other than that one time with the red swollen eyes, I've seen no tears. She wipes her chin, but of what? Never wipes her eyes, just wipes her nose. Never saw any tears flow down her cheeks. Maybe I cry wrong, but I need to wipe my eyes, wipe my nose and blow my nose.

Perhaps when in "private talking", the ME said that it was not likely to happen, but anything is possible. They decided it was best not to bring it up.

I agree! Some people are messed up! I don't like it when they talk about Nurmi's or Willmotts looks. They are all just doing their jobs. Leaving negative reviews on Amazon when you have never read someone's book etc. Is just wrong Imho. Some people on MDS seem to have more stalking tendacies than Jodi Arias.!!

NOT because of Jodi. Because he's representing pedophiles/sex offenders. That's a bit disturbing to me. I know someone's got to do it, however I wouldn't want my child's teacher's husband to be around that element. Too close for comfort for me. But that's JUST ME. I'm not speaking for anyone else. I'm sure that wouldn't bother most people, but it bothers me.
Being protective is a motherly response. But, her husband's job is not to be in the classroom, but a courtroom, so where do they cross over?

Another thought for people who do not want to live near an offender. No one would be comfortable with that. However, living near a KNOWN offender is safer because you can talk to your child about staying away. The scary part is when your child is out and about a neighborhood where an offender has not yet been identified, but is "acting out". You don't know who it is, even if the person seems to be the nicest man on the block. Food for thought.

Only thing that comes to my mind is that they want to put a clinical dude up with more "experience" (yes, I have trauma from hearing the snarky Jenny introduce every 2nd question with "in your experience Dr" (sneer that word experience) This new Dr musta been pretty bad for the defense to bring samuels and alyce instead... mind-boggling
I think the defense wanted to save him for sur-rebuttal. I think it was a strategic move, so that he could rebut anything Dr D said, and also possibly slip in some rehabilitation for Dr Dicky and LaVa. And so he would be the last testimony the jurors would hear. Pretty clever, actually.

They tend to start to turn their head to one side or the other as they come at you, so that it's their shoulder that hits you full centre. At the same time or very soon after they start to turn their head to the left or right, they also duck their head down slightly so that it's under the target's arms -which are usually angling up by then for protection.
I don't think you could spread out both arms like that in Travis' bathroom (while charging in the direction Jodi claims he was going). There is not enough room. Just one more piece of evidence that she is lying.

She doesn't feel sad or sorry for murdering him, or causing his family excruciating pain. She believes he deserved it, and that's perfectly obvious. She has no soul.
I don't even think she is actually ashamed. I just think that was as far as she was able to "lower" herself, was to pretend she felt ashamed. She can't bring herself to pretend she feels remorse. I think she might feel some embarrassment, in the sense that she thinks this whole trial tarnishes her 'image', but that is not the same as shame. My sociopath never felt a moments shame or remorse for anything, not even attempted murder. Those just aren't emotions that are in their repertoire.

But, but...there's so many other threads? You can make your own chat threads. There's a Trayvon Martin thread. There's Shayna Hubers who's got an even wilder crazy history than Jodi! Saying her boyfriend got the nose-job he wanted after she shot him repeatedly in the face, doesn't rate even a little interest? & then there's all the missing persons cases, so, so many missing cases - Brittanee Drexel, Kara Kopetsky? You guys really aren't interested in anything but Jodi? There's so much more here!

You should at least lurk & read back through old threads. Some of them will leave you in tears. Some will have you rolling on the floor. The missing ones, especially, I think people should read if they can, because in missing cases, the more people who know, the better it is. I know it sucks when your first favourite thread ends, a few of us in here lost one very recently - but there will be others.
I am interested in lots of things apart from Jodi, but many of the regulars and older posters on the other threads I have looked at make so many disparaging remarks about everyone who participates in the Jodi thread, that I feel alienated from posting anywhere else. The vicious things they say about the Jodi thread and everyone who posts on it are extremely insulting, ie: we are all insane, loser, mentally unbalanced, moronic, annoying, whining, pain in the ass fucktards. And they don't say a few people, they say everyone. Except for one person, who was recently thoughtful enough to say that only 99% of the people who post on the Jodi thread meet the above listed criteria. So I don't think it is just too much focus on this thread that keeps some of us isolated, it is the venom expressed towards us outside this thread.

If he is stuck with the defense she demands, then unless she is demanding he act illegally, it sounds as though he has very little room to move & it puts the questions to Deanna in a very different light. He must've known people would blame HIM. If he'd refused, then could it have become grounds for appeal at some point?

Is there any chance that by doing what he did, her own attorney just blocked at least one route of appeal & therefore has removed at least one future source of pain for Travis' family? Of course, that's completely negated if he could've said no, without any fallout later. But if he has had no choice in any of this since being ordered to take the case, then he probably felt sicker than anyone with that questioning. You guys will know better than me though, whether he can say no without potentially giving Jodi grounds for appeal.
While Nurmi has to follow Jodi's theory of the case, she does not actually get to put every word in his mouth. So he could have asked Deanna "did Travis ever call you degrading or sexually insulting names?" instead of "did Travis ever call you a whore? a three hole wonder? a skank? He didn't?? (insert sarcastic tone of voice) "Well, I guess YOU had a different relationship." The details of what he asked and the sarcastic tone of voice on the final remark were all Nurmi's own choices.

Hola, everyone. Just a heads up there is a new thread for non-trial chit chat that was created today. So we don't have to clog up the main thread with OT posts

That is, actually, not true. The appearance that the hair and nails are longer is due to the fact that, in the process of decomposition, the skin and body tissues begin to dry out and shrink back. Thus, it makes hair and nails appear more prominent.

Are we sure they are allowed to take the transcripts back to the jury room? That would be great! Sorry of this was already answered.

I think they possibly have to have the court reporter read testimony back to them. Although I have no idea how they would know what day/time to ask for to get to a particular topic, considering how long this trial has gone on.
Maybe someone who's done jury duty knows?

I am only going by trials I have watched, but I have never seen trial transcripts go to a jury. They are usually read back by Court staff in open court. I don't know what evidence they will get when deliberating. Sometimes it all goes with jury, other times they have to ask for specific pieces of evidence.

I'm surprised JA didn't think of the story that the Boston bomber's mom came up with. It was an elaborate hoax by actors using red paint and a huge conspiracy just to frame an innocent person. Come on, it could happen to anyone.

The marks I was talking about are right below large area of blood. A line of what appears to be small spaced wounds in a linear fashion.
could that be dried streaks of blood? Or drip trails that have dried and broken up to give it an almost - -- - - - - - look?

What I can't understand is the huge lump on the back/side of his head. I see it in one picture, but it's not in any other pics that are of the back/side of his head...

Um hey, Dr Drew, you are looking so buff lately. Your body is just great and we've been spending so much time together on TV for like weeks now.

Why don't you take a shower for a little while? I could take some totally great pictures of you for Facebook and stuff? Pls! OMG?

I thought the 48 hours interviews they couldn't take into deliberation, at least thats what I think I heard. I'd have to go back to the day they were introduced as evidence, thought they made mention that the jury would not have them.

I was speaking in generalities. I have no recollection of what was actually entered into evidence. There were so many exhibits, and I often got up to do something during the Stapling. I will be curious to see what/if they ask for anything. May need to wait for closings and deliberations before we know what's available for jury.

Hehe....yeah, there has been so much evidence entered, I think over 600 exhibits. I was just thinking about the video tapes and stuff, I thought I remembered the judge saying that the jury needed to watch closely because they would not be able to take them to deliberate.

Here is a recent post from Tanisha Alexander Sorenson lifted from the Justice for Travis FB page. here is the link https://www.facebook.com/Justice4Travis

A heart felt message to all our supporters from Travis' sister, Tanisha:

To All the Supporters of Travis and our Family,

As the time is now near to verdict time our family needs your support more than ever now. You all have been true examples of Christ, very giving , caring, kindhearted, and loving. The support of all of you has been heartfelt and has brought many smiles to our families faces during these hard times. We will be forever grateful !

I know that the most important thing we can all continue doing is getting down on our knees and praying to the Lord that we will have Justice for Travis here on this earth. I know there will be Justice in the life to come in the eternities but I feel that the Lord will also have his hand in bringing Justice here on earth. Our Heavenly father hears our prayers and he will answer them.

The jury will get this case on Monday the 6th and that's why I have a special request from all of you to join us as we pray and fast for the Jury, For our Family, For Travis, and For the Ultimate Justice in this case. My family and I will be fasting and praying on Sunday May 5th. I know from my own personal experience that the Lord has answered my prayers after I fasted, and that's why I know if we all do it on Sunday the 5th , he will see that we all have faith in him and that Justice is what we want and I feel he will deliver as he touches the hearts of the Jurors.

We have all been brought together thru this horrible tragedy, we have all been touched by Travis and his inspiration as he was alive, by the things he did while he was alive, and by the people he helped and served while he was alive, and because of the Death of this amazing man , we all share the love, the loss, the hope, the sorrow, the life, the faith, the gratitude, the strength, the empathy, and the unity, together. May the Lord continued to bless all of you for all the strength and love you have shown our family.

Don't be sad for Travis for he is happy, in a wonderful place doing the Lords work, he continues to teach, learn, serve, laugh, make others laugh, sing, and rejoice in happiness. He is with our Savior Jesus Christ, he is with us in our hearts and minds , and he will be with us as we get the Verdict of Guilty of first degree Murder and have Justice for him! Our family loves you all!! Our Heavenly Father loves you, and Travis loves you!!

    Justice4Travis!!!

No, just for chit chat. If we want to talk about regular, non-trial related stuff. I think it is a great idea, especially with a long gap with no court days. We can still chat with our buddies about whatever without cluttering up the official trial/case thread.

There is a separate thread for Jodi Arias related jokes and memes, which is hilarious to read.

They do seem to have some similarities. Although Jodi is just a flat out pathological liar, not delusional. I have yet to make up my mind about bomber mom,,,, she could be delusional or she could just be a liar. Time will tell. We do know she is a shoplifter, since she was arrested last year shoplifting over $1,600 worth of goods from Lord & Taylor.
