Crickets, there really are people who are innocent of sexual offenses. What is wrong with working to avoid a trial that would further traumatize a child who has been sexually assaulted? What about the cases in which a woman says she was raped and she wasn't? It happens.

My take on Nurmi is he is psychologically/emotionally defending himself against Jodi. Jodi-persons are emotionally draining. He is NOT making that much money...I would be offended if he was making 750/hr. Imagine being Nurmi and being unable to step away.

And I know there are times when ppl are falsely accused of a crime...do you think defense attorneys only take the falsely accused as clients? Maybe there are a few pure ones out there but I can assure you the vast majority defend the guilty ones as well. It's how they make a living. I know Nurmi never wanted this case and tried to get off it several times. I gave him the benefit of the doubt on that. What bugs me is that in his 'specialty' he's dealt with real pedophiles. He knows how they operate, that they can have hundreds if not thousands of child porn images on their computers, and frequent 'adult' websites. He knows damn well Travis was no pedophile. And I know he has a 'difficult' client who probably demands a lot of him and wants to control the case. He could have sat her down and told her "Look, Jodi, this pedophile stuff is not going to fly and will just make you look bad". And if she insisted could he not just refuse? She couldn't force him, could she?

But he chose to go forward with it and humiliate his family as well as drag a dead man's name through the mud. So no, I have no sympathy for the Nurms.

I totally agree. I can understand providing a.defense for an obviously guilty client. But to purposely destroy a man's reputation with the most vile allegation with not a shred of evidence is what is so despicable about this defense team.
In addition their expert ALV peddled this lie too. Her lips curled in contempt whenever she said Travis' s name.

Does anyone know exactly what goes back to the Jury room with the Jury? I presume they will get everything that came into evidence or course, but do they get all the videos to watch i.e, interrogation, 48hrs, Inside Edition etc? And do they get to watch testimony again on video, or is it just transcripts they can read? wasthinking? Sneakers? Anyone?
