Going over their messages (Metis, if you know of how we can find the slashed tires quote from their text messages, please tell us where we can find it. Thank you!!)
    I thought this was interesting. She sent him this message in that Feb. 14th email;

"OK, I'm going to go now before you start calling me Esther Hicks. I might otherwise take it as a compliment, but coming from you, I know it wouldn't be. (smiley face)"

That's funny. It appears that Travis doesn't like Esther Hicks.... She wrote 'the law of attraction' and 'The Secret' yet Jodi said thatTravis had her tear pages from her journal because of the law of attraction.

I had a feeling that Travis wouldn't be into these types of ideas as they're kind of like false Gods. ( like astrology or superstition ) I know, I know, he wasn't supposed to believe in sex before marriage either; but that's more of a biological response that one can't help. Believing in The Secret is a whole other blasphemy.

Didn't she say that he was into The Secret/Law of Attraction too?

So either somebody with too much time on their hands or a JAII supporter trying to cause a mistrial.
This isht is just wrong. I hope they find this knucklehead and put 'em in the license plate factory.

Crickets, there really are people who are innocent of sexual offenses. What is wrong with working to avoid a trial that would further traumatize a child who has been sexually assaulted? What about the cases in which a woman says she was raped and she wasn't? It happens.

My take on Nurmi is he is psychologically/emotionally defending himself against Jodi. Jodi-persons are emotionally draining. He is NOT making that much money...I would be offended if he was making 750/hr. Imagine being Nurmi and being unable to step away.

Cancun is IN that book. I find it hugely important, IMO, that Travis was going there with Mimi... and stabby, I believe knew way before the inconsistent times she has said, like spring of 2008 knew Travis was going there and NOT taking her.
She and Travis I think actually DID spend quality time on those trips, and to that point, it had been exclusively theirs. Travis was going with someone else, and I think this was massively devastating for her bizarro mind to handle.
Agreed, that cancun and its specialness had to bother her. Goes toward premeditation.

Nurmi is the guy that tried to get in the zoomed Travis eye photo and he wants to prevent testimony about shelves that would collapse under weight? Ok.
I have a feeling they will get their surrebuttal for sure though, especially if the judge allows the rebuttal testimony today.

I don't see Flight or Fright there at all but I'm not an expert and neither are the jurors (that we know of). I'm sure that JM is going to point all of this out in his closing argument and then again in his rebuttal to defense's closing argument.

I've picked up fear in the BPD community that they are perceived equal to Arias.

Arias is a killer who happened to have BPD traits, along with other cluster B traits that may have contributed to this.

Her BPD did not cause her to kill.

As with everything she touches, Jodi ruins everything. God bless those with BPD and PTSD.

Either because she needed her two perpetrator story to add up, or, in my opinion, because Travis was either gurgling or twitching or both and it was a 'put him down now' shot.

They sometimes didn't have even blowback to fully cycle the slide for a rechambering. Oftentimes these tiny guns were so difficult to get a tight grasp on that the gun moving in the shooter's hand absorbed too much recoil for the discharge to cycle a rechambering. Dangerous little automatics, in my experience, that easily jammed.
I firmly believe she carried a knife. You wouldn't believe the number of knives the security guards confiscated in the ER.

It just occurred to me that Stabby had to use the gas cans on the way back to CA to stay consistent with her theory of driving alone at night. I just heard that she also had receipts for 2 of the gas purchases, but not for the last one. Meaning she did not realize that if she were accused of the murder, they would get all her bank records.

Another point made was she withdrew cash to also cover any purchases she made to AZ and out of AZ. Very calculating.

Thats what I'm not sure about. I wonder if some of the jurors will say "Well at least it was quick". As in under 2-3 minutes based on photos. I've heard of so many cases where the person was tortured for hours, or raped, etc prior to finally dying. I fully believe Travis suffered a great deal. But I wonder if the jury will think it was fast so there wasn't much time for suffering.
Then again, when she was in her interview with Det. Flores, she told him if she WERE to kill someone, she would make it quick by shooting them until they are dead. and she also told him if she hurt Travis, she would beg for the death penalty. So there's that.

When deciding what is and isn't prejudicial, the judge has to weigh the probative value against the potential prejudice it could cause.

So, for example, gruesome pics of Travis dead... the probative value is high, because they are showing the details of the victims murder, which is the crime being charged. It is very direct evidence of the crime.

On the other hand, more details about what was revealed during the Purple Plum interviews were kept out. We don't know what those details are, but let's go with the theory mentioned on this forum that they would reveal that Jodi was turning tricks with male customers from the restaurant. While we would all be fascinated to hear something like that, does it have much probative value about the murder? No, it does not show anything about the murder itself, or premeditation, but the jury could tend to think less of Jodi is they found out she was hooking. So in that case the judge would keep it out because the prejudice would out weigh the probative value.

Both of those examples are very clear cut. Many others would fall somewhere in between, and the judge would have to do her best to make a fair decision balancing probative value and potential prejudice.

I doubt it, it happened outside of court apparently. Besides 'Status Conf" are normal and usually scheduled, that one was on the calendar for Friday.

    3 clues
    1. ?It was not even credible,? said Deputy Chief Jack MacIntyre, and he said that Willmott did not want to aid in prosecution, so there would be no ongoing investigation.

Okay, I thought maybe it might be a reason to explain that, but the it seems it just might not be out of the ordinary. I don't usually keep up on the conference stuff, so good to know.

LOL@ story by Kiefer though. He is claiming we will see Det. Flores today -- despite the fact that I don't recall it being mentioned that he was a rebuttal witness? -- so I actually hope he is right in that regard. I would love for information about the shelves to come in.

I certainly would vote for DP if I was on the jury. And I don't take that lightly. I just think it is truly merited in this case. Premedication is there and the manner in which she killed him was brutal. I feel no sympathy for Jodi Arias and I hope the jury doesn't either.

Another point made was she withdrew cash to also cover any purchases she made to AZ and out of AZ. Very calculating.
Along with her saying there were only 2 5gallon gas cans - wouldn't get her far enough - but the 3rd gas can would complete the trip through AZ for her. Which she is just a moron - why not just pay cash for the gas the whole way through. There would have been no receipts for any of it. No proof she was in AZ, or around the country anywhere.

    I thought this was interesting. She sent him this message in that Feb. 14th email;

    Could this be "Astroglide Esther"?
