Are you going behind the words? :) joke

It was JA words, not TA's. JA was adding in a dark tone, not Travis. She could add darkness to sunlight! bitch is crazy

Travis would not be the first male to have madonna/whore issues with women. And I think for highly religious men, this can be even more of an issue - because they struggle to find a bridge between that outward religious persona and then wanting to get super freaky in the bedroom.

I think Jodi offered herself up on a silver platter and basically gave Travis the green light to do anything sexually he wanted with her.

A woman cannot act this way and then later criticize the man for taking the bait, or assume that it will make him want to commit to her. That is an error that many, many women make, and Jodi was one of them.

LOL!!!! Sorry, of course I meant premeditation....not premedication.

So either somebody with too much time on their hands or a JAII supporter trying to cause a mistrial.

I'll just bet Willmutt doesn't want it investigated, as you said above.

And I think there were ways he could have undermined the Walmart lady. She went through a stack of receipts the size of a phone book HERSELF...I don't think I've ever seen a witness doing something like that! That's something for LE or the DA's office to do. It must have taken hours if not days. Was she paid for this? Did Walmart at least give her some paid time off? Martinez should take her out for dinner at the very least.

I think Nurmi at this point just doesn't give a shit anymore. He's looked totally checked-out for weeks, just slouching in his chair collecting that $250/hour and filing motions...
Did anyone else catch the look on JA's face when Nurmi started the cross of Deanna? To me it looked like "You're gonna get it now."

The Wal-Mart lady was on Wal-Mart's payroll, same as the Tesoro lady being on her company's payroll. I assume they have people to deal with the authorities when they are hit by a crime and co-operate when they are only witnesses to a crime.

She was probably worried about video footage of her pumping gas in Arizona.

Think of Status Conferences as trial managment meetings. Whats up, where we at, how many witnesses will you have, how long do you think you'll need, discovery issues, planning meetings really.

Kiefer is the same reporter that blasted out the tweet about the gun was found the other day from bait on an old board from March.

but that's the thing - cash transactions aren't tracked like credit card purchases are. Her own bank statement would tell them where to look for those credit card gas purchases... where if she used cash - take your pick of one of the 1,000's of gas stations - and go through HOURS of film. It's highly unlikely she would have been found at all.

some objectivity should be entered here. Nurmi is over the line, but, its his job to fight for her life. If he loses, she could die. Juan has nothing to lose because he is the one that wants to take that life.

BUT lets not pretend JM didn't jump out blasting Deanna about Jizz facials. Or objecting to get Nurmi to be specific encouraging Nurmi to have to ask Deanna about anal, or oral sex.

This is a good question and one I've been asking.

I've never seen a police investigator sit as second chair in a trial???

Hey newbie here, lurking for far too long and finally decided to register. I've been completely obsessed with the trial and I.T. told me to stop streaming at work (using too much bandwith my booty!). Following via the live blogs at HLN and Huffington post and feel like I've been missing a lot. So glad you guys are around to keep me up to date!

Honestly? I don't think she would listen. She had to have been told to tone it down on the stand when she was being all smug and snarky, but I don't think she can. Remember, she thinks she's the smartest person in the room.

I know people who have done it, but they were in a terrible relationship and I think one of them was a psychopath who talked the other into doing it. IMHO, it was just so that the male (the psychopath) could spy on the female. The "trust" excuse was just that, an excuse (also the female was also quite young).

I felt bad for George and Cindy. I don't think either of them is very smart and had no idea what to do with Casey. I don't believe either of them had anything to do with Caylee's death. I think Casey ran roughshod over them both.

If you are having trouble multiquoting, you can always "reply with quote" and copy what is in the box. Go to the next person you want to reply to, hit "reply with quote" again, paste in the first quote in front of the second quote, then copy the whole thing (both quotes). Continue on with all the peeps you want to quote. It's what I used to do before I figured out there was a multiquote function.

I wondered the same thing, but others pointed out to me that she may have been afraid to get caught on camera at gas stations. So if she wanted to use gas cans, she should have bought them with cash and paid cash for the gas she got in CA and UT. I don't know, maybe she didn't have enough cash. She should have consulted "How To Plan A Murder On A Budget".

He's not really second chair, they say Martinez works alone. Is it customary in AZ for the primary investigator to be present for the whole trial?

I've heard of trials being postponed because the arresting officer wasn't available. Det. Flores has been there for months. Maybe he's gathering evidence for other cases/charges? I've also wondered about the people who are there sometimes near the Mitigation Specialist.

I don't see Flight or Fright there at all but I'm not an expert and neither are the jurors (that we know of). I'm sure that JM is going to point all of this out in his closing argument and then again in his rebuttal to defense's closing argument.
that is one thing the defense never even tried to explain, how in her "fog" she could do all the things she did, delete certain pics, do the wash, clean the bannister, set up the doggy gate - there isn't away to do that w/ what they claim she was experiencing

    Dr. Horn: It did
Q: If it goes through the frontal lobe, what does the human body do when a gunshot goes through a frontal lobe?
Dr. Horn: Well there's a shock delivered to the entire brain as a projectile is passing through, so its not just like an arrow or a nail. You've also got expansing expanding gases, you've got a tumbling projectile, so generally you're going to have a shock situation, neurologic shock and those people are incapacitated.

But I wonder if the jury will think it was fast so there wasn't much time for suffering.
Then again, when she was in her interview with Det. Flores, she told him if she WERE to kill someone, she would make it quick by shooting them until they are dead. and she also told him if she hurt Travis, she would beg for the death penalty. So there's that.
i worry about that - especially if you think when something bad happens like a terrible earthquake, or you need to aid some one in a medical crisis - you think it lasts for ever, then you realize it was only 60 seconds

Is it possible that the Jp Morgan/Chase person is there to testify that Travis' account was accessed AFTER the time we know he had been killed? I have seen so many people posting about how her money situation and what she spend on that trip does not add up, did she transfer funds to herself after she killed him?

He was called quite a bit in the prosecution's main case. I think his presence at the prosecution table just shows how much he wants justice for Travis, IMO.
I think the defense just doesn't want him talking about the shelves.
