I wonder if there will be significantly less questions of ALV simply because Juror #5 was removed.

And I guess we were wrong about the judge actually getting through the questions before re-direct started today. 30 more minutes to wait while they go through them.

Yeah, that was just a theory I had about the delay this morning. I guess I was wrong. There were some questions in the box yesterday when we first went into the afternoon session but I'm not sure if they were cumulative or just from morning session. I do know that I did not see a single juror put in a question while I was there.

I have some friends that work at a women's jail in SO CAL and I have been told that female inmates are 100 times worse than male inmates as far as their behavior and hygiene: quite a lot of them prefer not to bathe, they use their pee & poop as weapons and then there the whole menstruation thing........ they are not allowed to use tampons only pads and when you have a large population of females on their periods with poor hygiene........ you can imagine the horrid odor! I'm also told that body cavity searches happen all the time because of inmate stashing things in their vaginas & bungholes, the officers are at times, overcome with with the urge to vomit and in the experiences of my friends, they have learned to joke a lot to deal with the grossness of their job. I'll ask about the razors but I think they are allowed to use a specific type of disposable razor but they are counted and kept track of.

In my opinion, its not the fact that JW objects, its the manner in which she composes herself when she does. And the fact that 75% or more of her objections are overruled shows she's just trying to prevent damning testimony from coming out of the witnesses mouths. She looks silly IMO.

yea i don't know if i agree w/ it, its just that i have been reading the news today and they are saying the social media and internet attacks are unprecedent, and now its being looked into and could possibly cause a mistrial. i don't agree w/ any thing she has testified to, but i just worry that every one is inserting themselves into this trial w/ the book reviews, calling all the places she is booked to speak at and demanding she be fired, calling CSLB and her foundation, starting the petion, etc is doing more harm than good - just like every one was mad at hln and jinkasorus for almost causing a mistrial - the same might be happening w/ her. her career is already tanked because any time she tries to testify now they can bring in the transcripts to discredit her, and hope ppl will start leaving it at that and not give jodi a chance for a mistrial or an appeal

Yeah, it's an uneasy feeling to imagine anything causing a mistrial. I wouldn't want cameras in the courtroom if I were a judge. But, I hope the fact that the defendant initially solicited the networks for interviews will give the defense pause before they complain about some of the negative effects of media attention. Attention is what Jodi wanted, after all.

I still cannot understand why the judge is allowing the defense to only present part of the text messages and the emails. Isn't this a deeply biased decision? Is Martinez going to be allowed to show the complete records?

The complete records were probably determined to be too prejudicial to Jodi.

He absolutely DID lead a double life when you talk about sex... but when you really think about it, is keeping your sex life a secret from people really living a double life? Maybe he just wanted to keep his personal life, ya know, PERSONAL? I know I would. There are lots of scenarios where people have led double lives, i think keeping ones PRIVATE sex life a secret is not really that bad... don't you think? I know it's frowned on in the church and whatnot, and would effect a lot of things in his life... but I don't see that as being really too awful. Maybe it's just me?

This is what I think about that. Alyce can't have it both ways. It appears that she's re-releasing her book to coincide with her testimony in a high-profile case to reap the benefits of the exposure to her "expertise". Had she not been so biased, this could have been a boon to her business. I doubt we'd hear of her complaining about cyber-brutality if it were all positive reactions to an honest testimony. It's poor judgment on her part, in my opinion, that she chose not to use common sense in evaluating the totality of the evidence available to her. She's clearly biased and really brought it on herself. It's interesting to think how much positive attention she would have received had she answered JM honestly and respectfully.

Imagine how awesome it would have been if she would have decided to change her opinion mid-testimony!
What if she admitted, due to new information that she has received during the trial, that she was wrong... that she fell for Jodi's lies... that she changed her mind about the situation and decided that Travis was the REAL victim in this case? If she could just have the fucking balls to admit she made a mistake, a human thing to do, I think the backlash would have been non-existent and people would have even had a ton MORE respect for her for standing up for the REAL victim!

Lynch mobs are not a good thing. They are awful. They are scary. It's a very ugly side of humanity. I think its pretty immature to want to ruin a womans life because people watching her on TV don't like what she's saying. Don't buy her book. She has been hurt just testifying for JA. To bash her like that is pretty awful.

While I know I should probably feel sorry for the backlash she is receiving, i simply don't. I feel like the damage she has done to REAL victims of domestic violence outweighs the sympathy I would have had for her. I really DO, however, have a bunch of sympathy for hoe co-author of the book. That person really doesn't deserve to be dragged down with her. I'm sure it's effecting that person financially, which is really not fair.

I haven't counted as a read, but it seems to me I've seen questions being put in the basket all along. Stabby is probably holding her breath like it's a contest hoping they don't beat her record.

I hope the juror questions are along the lines of what they have been with the last couple people. Quick and thru the bullshit, with a little bit of sarcasm sprinkled in. the jury has been pretty good with asking the things that we would like asked so I hope that continues! I can't believe I am actually on the edge of my seat to hear something that will result in ALV talking friggin' MORE - lol - but I am. I wanna see how she wriggles her way out of admitting that Travis was the true victim in this case and that Jodi is nothing but a lying liar who lies!! Can't wait.

Seems like if they can use travis's words in these texts to make him look bad, the jury should be able to see what she said, no matter how it makes her look.

I am too famous to live in the USA, and too smart to live in Canada. I like Australia. It's huge and I can get a Range Rover with plenty of gas cans in the back. Koalas are cute. Maybe if I ask Gus he will buy me a ticket to go there. We can put together a dream team and move the whole gang to Sydney. Me, Gus, Alyce, Samuels, Donovan, the twins, Doggyboy. Abe you wanna come with, hotti biscotti?

I will open a theme restaurant/cafe in Sydney. With all my artwork and photography on the walls. How amazing would that be? Jodi's Art Cafe! I will retire as a waitress because of my finger injuries. Donovan can be the manager and my bodyguard. I'm sure the Aussies will love her spirit and she's really good at rugby. Gus can be my sugar daddy and we will probably do a reality show so everyone can keep up with my life after the trial. Nurmi already said he will rep me in Hollywood so he must stay behind in Phoenix. Sad face!

We will have karaoke contests and serve coffee and Cinnabons. I already have the recipe. And best of all I can do my LDS mission at the same time. After a couple years of teaching Australians how to be good Mormons, my sould will be clean and I can take a freaky Australian Mormon for my husband... whoa, both my hands were sinking down into my lap! It is so unjust. Only the defendant gets a fair trial. The victim's rights get trampled all over. It's really wrong.

It really does take away from the impact. Imagine if Jodi had to answer the juror's questions without all the time she had to be prepped for them with her attorneys. It would have been epic.

I'm actually very surprised that Willmott didn't wrap up early yesterday so she could have the entire evening and morning to prep Alyce. Poor planning on her part. Oh well, the judge is giving them gobs and gobs of time today. What a joke.
