And, how does JM go about doing that, except to focus on every detail that he can.....to leave no stone unturned, in his prosecution of this case? This is a huge case, with serious consequences, no matter how it plays out. He would not be doing his job if he skipped over the minute details. The extent of Jodi's actions and lying in the aftermath is what has caused this...not JM and his style.

There are many approaches. A skilled lawyer will sift through the mass of testimony and cut right to the heart of the matter. The jury does not have an infinite attention span. They can't follow every argument. They might dislike someone who yells. He does not need to prove 100 lies. Just do a good job of proving the 5 most relevant & important lies.

Oh, don't misunderstand me.....I am not doubting the ability of the defense lawyers. I think they have a nightmare of a client, to say the least. I just don't view Martinez as anything other than amazing. He hits a home run, and disproves every theory that the defense is throwing at the DA. He has to, because the burden of proving this case lies ultimately with him. Every witness the defense has put on the stand, JM has handed their assholes back to them on a silver plate. He has convinced me (and I went into this, giving Jodi the total benefit of the doubt) that she is guilty of murder in the 1st. No doubt in my mind.

Also, I want to add that this trial appears to flow like molasses for several reasons, the most obvious being the limited court time, per week, that has been the norm. And the fact that Jodi was on the stand for 18 days? And, the law which allows jury questions to be asked. I just don't think that JM is the reason this has been soooooooooooooo tedious. XO

One example of how to get the job done so to speak: watch videos of David Walgren, the DA in the Michael Jackson/Conrad Murray case a couple of years ago. His cross-exams were concise, organized and surgically precise...no wasted time on side issues, no shouting or arm-waving, always polite -- and devastatingly effective.

I agree with you on all 5 of those points. I love JM myself and I don't mind his demeanor to a degree... but I know "some" people may not appreciate it. I know others may not agree with you or me but one thing I think we can all agree is that we all want the same outcome of this case and that is that she doesn't get by with murder and go free.

Martinez was about to nail him on all the things he left out, Martinez turns his back on Doc to hand paper to defense, Doc takes out his pen and starts scribbling in his notebook, the same one he refers to moments later to recall all the things he left out because of "typos". After he refers to it, Martinez had it entered into evidence. I'm pretty sure Doc was not supposed to be adding to the evidence while sitting on the stand!

LOVE how Martinez goes in for the kill right at the end, then quietly wraps his shit up and sits down. However, I kinda wish he'd throw his papers on the ground, yell, "PEACE OUT, MOTHERFUCKERS!" and stride his happy ass on out of the courtroom, like a boss.

Jodi looks all suspicious and grabs her yellow notepad, stands up, turns around and appears to take a step---then the stupid camera shot goes back to the attorneys at the sidebar! I was like, what was she about to do with that notepad!!!!

Yes, pre-meditation beyond a doubt by prosecutor. I am not convinced he can prove it though, without the gun. This is starting to bother me. Will the jurors get bogged down with all the excessive testimony? Or, do they have a good idea at this point.
