It definitely IS an odd choice, so it's a part of my waffling as well, but then I remember her ninja story -which included the gun jamming- and I think maybe that was one of the sprinklings of truth in her story... and a good reason to not have just kept shooting.

Then part of me thinks she is just a heartless monster! Using the gun to maintain some sort of control over him (after all, she KNOWS how he would react to having a gun pointed at him - he TOLD her in that story of his about it happening during the bank robbery) while trying to inflict as much pain on the guy as possible! So maybe she used the gun to initially shock him into submission, got all crazy jealous rage stabbity, then shot him just to be certain the job was done?

I think it's super frustrating that we will never really know, for certain, just exactly WHAT happened because she seems incapable of ever coming out of her damned fog long enough to simply telling the TRUTH! It sucks his family has to put up with that uncertainty. I hope the verdict of this trial at least somewhat makes up for that. In a tint way.

    What happened to that gun?
It think she was planning to shoot someone else, like his friends.

Oh, and the shell casing that fell on blood.
Where would she have to have been standing for that to land where it did?
In the doorway facing the sink, maybe?

I wish they would water board her and get some real answers.
That question could MAYBE be answered if the gun was found... since most weapons have a 'tendency' to eject cartridges/casings in the same general direction. It still wouldn't be fool proof though as my .380 throws them all over the place.

Too bad the juror that had the trouble with the headset couldn't say "Excuse me Judge, but I can't hear the lies she's telling"

the gunshot was last because of no blood in the brain, not on the outside where it was washed off, there was no hemorraghing inside of the brain

Yesterday Jodi explained why she didn't wait to buy cheaper gas in Nevada or Utah by saying:

Yes, that's why I initially got the gas cans from Daryl, so I could save money, that kind of thing. I'm a coupon clipper, that kind of person, but when I got to southern California and realized I'm taking I-I15 across two and a half states, um I've never driving this before, it's the middle of the night, I'm by myself and I'm in a car that I'm not familiar with, I didn't want to be stuck in the dark somewhere in the desert, I've heard lots of horror stories and I wanted to make sure I wasn't stranded.

HOWEVER her cell phone records show a call to Travis at 8:16 pm. She testified she told him she was coming and he said, "Really?" and that he would wait up for her.

She buys the gas at 8:46 pm ALREADY KNOWING that she will be going to Mesa on a road she is very familiar with and where the gas stations are.

There is a call to Ryan at 9 something saying she is on her way to Utah, but that would be simply another lie as she has already told Travis to expect her by morning.

No he didn't. He couldn't speculate order, but said that given the lack of hem. around the entrance wound it is likely that it occured after the neck slash since most of the blood would be out of his head at that point...

I would love it if one juror question started : As briefly as possible, (insert any question) or Without telling a story, (insert any question.)

I'm starting to think if there was one juror who was a hold out the others would convince the juror to convict her of 1st degree. They must be so tired of listening to her and of being there. I would love to be on that jury!

Sorry, to continue, the ME also said that it was unlikely he was shot first as it would have incapacitated him rapidly (seconds) and therefore he wouldn't have had defensive wounds on him.

He testified that in his opinion the gunshot to the head was last.

I had kind of wondered if she shot him while he was standing at the sink before he staggered down the hallway but after watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&h...lFc&nomobile=1 I've changed my mind. I think this reconstruction is probably pretty damn close to what really happened. Wish Prosecution could/would show something like this in rebuttal or in closing!

Yes - I think the possible gurgling/body twitches may have made her reach of the gun - still overkill though - if you slash someones throat the way she did, there is no way she thought he was going to live..

Watching yesterdays. She just stated that the dog barks when anyone came into the house. So, that night when she came in a 4am and stood there for a few minutes watching TA at his desk watching videos, why didn't the dog bark?? Hmmmm.....

I think the recreation is awesome. I bet the Prosecution has something similiar ready for closing.

That's the only problem I have with the recreation. Once she slit his throat, he was done. He would not have put up any fight. I think he may have let out a 'death rattle', which she mistook for Travis breathing.

It was mentioned that one of his friends called her a skank while listening in the background to jodi and travis talking on the phone. That's my recollection of that testibaloney.

Anyone think that there will be a jury follow up question to Stabby about her shitty EBAY art hanging in a gallery in between a VAN GOGH and a MONET?!?

I'm sorry... But if ANY man attacked me at any time, I would hit him over the head with a frying pan, lock him in a closet and call the police! I don't care if it were the president. I don't care if he had a good reputation or not! His ass is getting into trouble and I am running for the hills!

I will be surprised if she gets the DP. I think the defense has thrown enough out there (even though we all know it to be total bullshit) to create some degree of doubt. Case and point...shewhomustnotbenamedcuzshemakesmefuckinsic kCA.

Arizona's law that allows juror questions rocks!
