Yes she did and she later paid him back. She deposited about $900.00 (I can't remember the exact amount) in her two accounts with Washington Mutual in Monterey on June 3. That came out in her direct testimony. Why? Maybe she had some checks to cover. She clearly stated while on the stand on Feb. 27, that the most 'travel' cash she had when she started out from Yreka on June. 2, 2008,was $200.00. Martinez/receipts proved that she spent $181.00 ($96.00+85.00) on gasoline purchases in California--before detouring to Mesa, Arizona. Most of the remaining cash was probably spent on Strawberry Frappachinos at Starbucks, ('cause they have no caffeine in them' and she's a good Mormon girl with wife potential).

My answer is no. Mainly because, this being Jodi, if someone else had been there, we would know who they were because they would have a thousand set of tire tracks all over their body, from Jodi throwing them under the bus.

Yes the pain from chipping the bone would have been terrible. I had spinal fusion and had to have bone from a cadaver, I balked and said that I wanted to use my own bone (they do shave it off your hip at times) and the doctor flat out refused. He said that it is often more painful than the back surgery so I cannot beging to imagine the pain that was going through Travis from just this ONE wound. We have so many others though.

Also, I kept thinking of her evasion technique on while avoiding answering his questions or how she "forgets" what the question is and I will bet that her psychologist when they get up to paint this poor Jodi story is going to say that is a defense mechanism and a common trait for a battered woman, ie she reacts in this manner when she feels threatened. She believes she is being sooo convincing that she is going to be able to confuse at least one or two jurors and that is what Bryan Carr was blathering about last night, hung trial, retrial, time served yadda yadda.

Lastly, today is going to be so difficult for Travis' family, please keep them in your thoughts, I would be torn in wanting to hear the cross examination and the little bits of truths she drops and needing to escape the horror of the photos that will be shown.

I agree with you, I think they will say memory blanks are a way of coping. We all know different in this case I think. And I feel the same, I don't want to see the pictures or see the upset it will cause his family. I hope they can one day get the closure that she is denying them currently.

I agree, Jodi's "abuse" witnesses are going to say what a battered woman she is and blame every fault she's ever had on it. If we think we are angry now, just wait till they testify. I see major anger coming out on this thread.

Travis' family....I feel so badly for them. I can't imagine what today is going to be like for them. The sisters actually left the courtroom during the ME's testimony. I imagine they will want to be there when Martinez confronts Jodi, but it sure is going to be painful for them.

I notice that the "Jodi hate" is worse when everyone really thinks about what she did to Travis. I imagine it will be pretty high today.

I defer to $800.00. It's not worth culling through the tape to get the exact amount from the deposit slips. I know it came in through the prosecution case and I can picture Martinez placing the deposit receipts/slips on the projector, (or whatever you call that thing). We're in total agreement about the $30.00 stolen from her wallett and the $80.00 she had in her jeans. The question is, where did it come from since she was down to virtually nothing of the $200.00 travel money she started out with, ($200.00-$181.00 (gas cash)=$19.00 less Starbucks (and I don't know how she paid for the stuff she bought at Wal-Mart in Salinas and I ain't gonna check.) It's a curious coincidence that she said the Ninja took $30.00 from her wallett. Seems to be one of her favorite numbers. She told the police in Yreka on May 28, that the burglars who supposedly broke into grandparents house that they did not take the $10.00 bill and the $20.00 bill=$30.00 she had lying out in the open. Meaningless, but curious!

As for the cameras, I just watched yesterday's (day 24) video. Jodi Arias says she and Travis used her Olympus to videotape some of the sex action on June 4, shortly before she killed him. She says Travis filmed while she rode. She also said she wasn't familiar with how to video on Travis new camera and couldn't be bothered fiddling with it in the circumstances to figure it out, so she just used hers cause she was familiar with how to shoot video on it.

I don't know what, if any of this is crucial. We'll see. Martinez has something planned.
