Yes she did and she later paid him back. She deposited about $900.00 (I can't remember the exact amount) in her two accounts with Washington Mutual in Monterey on June 3. That came out in her direct testimony. Why? Maybe she had some checks to cover. She clearly stated while on the stand on Feb. 27, that the most 'travel' cash she had when she started out from Yreka on June. 2, 2008,was $200.00. Martinez/receipts proved that she spent $181.00 ($96.00+85.00) on gasoline purchases in California--before detouring to Mesa, Arizona. Most of the remaining cash was probably spent on Strawberry Frappachinos at Starbucks, ('cause they have no caffeine in them' and she's a good Mormon girl with wife potential).

Testimony from Dr. Horn regarding the wounds to the back of the skull.

I just re-watched some of the ME's (Dr. Horn, aka hot doctor.) It is on day four if anyone is interested. It's well worth re-watching. Reminds me what this trial is all about. :(
    http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature...&v=1tZKYBlfkxI

    A few interesting tidbits:
-Defense objected to exhibit 170, (face shot of Travis showing neck wound)
    judge allowed it entered.

    -Travis was 5'9"
-ME has done about 6,000 autopsies. (That's a LOT of autopsies.)

A few of us were trying to remember what the ME said in regards to the two huge wounds on the back of the head. Dr. Drew showed the autopsy photo of the wounds tonight. We were trying to recall if the ME said a piece of the knife broke off. Here is what I discovered: No, a piece of the knife did not break off, (if i am understanding him correctly.) He was referring to divots in the skull bone. He refers to the tip of an implement, I think he was pointing out the outline of the divot on the bone. See below for full details.

-At 1:27:43 ex 193 he talks about wounds on back of head. He said they are very deep, going all the way to the skull. They are also very long. He said he shaved away some of the hair to show the wounds better. One was 2" long, the other 2" as well.

-Ex 198 shows the wound all the way to the skull. Shows that there was sufficient force applied to cause a divot in the skull bone, in two spots. "Bone was chipped away by the end of the implement there."

-Ex 199 "This to me is the tip of an implement, probably the tip of a knife or something similar there because it has this very triangular profile. This is the bone, and a piece of bone has actually been chipped away by the object."

-Ex 195, he points out the corresponding divots.

ETA: Now I remember why these wounds to the skull upset me so much. I can't even imagine the pain Travis felt while he was being stabbed in the skull creating divots in the skull bone and having a bits of his bone chipped away. So very horrific.

Thank you for posting this for the very reason for this whole Trial. Tears, just tears and now more prayers. This hurts so bad and I don't even know him or his family

I agree. And these are just two of the wounds!

I just added this to my post:

The ME's testimony seems like so long ago. Thanks to Jodi taking up weeks on her direct examination on the witness stand. :( it would seem difficult for the jury to remember it vey well. I'm sure Martinez will bring it all back around though.

Damn, I can't even imagine either and I really don't want to ugh. So much rage, it's unreal, like holy fuck shit damn! I know, it does seem so long ago but I guarantee it has stuck in the jurors minds like no tomorrow, cause I know, that would never leave my mind after that much evidence of rage. Oh hell yeah girl Martinez will go full throtlle on the sick bitch with those fo sho, no doubt, and I can't WAITTTT!

Forgot to answer your question. Prosecution wouldn't charge Jodi with anything relating to 'Travis's gun' because their position is that he never owned one. That's just another lie Jodi Arias made up. The checks don't connect to any criminal offense. Cheers!

Just to let everybody know-I edited my recap from yesterday. It was a comment about the pants leg picture. I think I heard that all wrong, so I deleted it out of my recap. (thanks to the person that told me about it)

The gas cans confuse me the most. Who drives around with a bunch of full gas cans and the luggage in the same spot? I wonder if Jodi had something else planned out first? Maybe she wanted Travis to take a drive with her or something.
I am now left wondering-what in the hell happened to the gas that was in the cans? Did she eventually put in the rental car?

I'm wondering if Jodi and a certain boyfriend, were into some kind of black mail schemes? Could explain why Jodi recorded things and took pictures.
The CD she bought over-maybe it was the blackmail CD. Maybe that's why he threw it against the wall? There's been no evidence of any broken CD entered into evidence. Seems like a CD getting smashed, either it would be left on the floor, or if you have a loose dog running around, you would pick the CD pieces up and throw them in the office trash can.

IDK. Cold medicine makes my head loopy.
I do think that day Jodi hacked into his accounts and seen something. It was something he said to somebody-probably talking about Jodi. She went from fuck buddy to stab bubby in a short minute.

    Jodi is fascinating and entertaining.

I do not want this to end so i am rooting that she gets off, so that way we have more jodi! I mean i am all for justice, but this is a unique case and i care because of all the theatrics. Jodi on the streets will be amazing. You just lock her up and throw away the key and no more jodi and no more entertainment. She will not stay low like Casey Anthony and will forever be in all of our lives. Isn't this what we all want?
And affirmative action is a very nice term for racial discrimination against better-qualified white people in jobs, employment, promotions and scholarships, and college admittance.

Artemis had an interesting hypothesis: Roommate was banging her too, he did it, Jodi came in and saw, then she took off....and is now taking the rap cause she knows she won't get executed for it.

    Seems legit.

And this phantom CD evidence is enough to seem fishy to me.

How much anger must there have been to create divots. Just makes me hate her so very much. His pain must have been unimaginable

I hate her with more than words can describe It was Jodi's fingers and hands who made Travis not here anymore. Jodi Arias admitted to slaughtering Travis. It was Jodi's hands and fingers that stabbed Travis in the heart, his back 29 times, and in his head. It was Jodi's fingers and hands that slit his throat ear to ear to the point of almost decapitation, it was JODI who shot him in the face. Pure-cold-blooded-murder.

If there were a second person, what was their benefit? Did they talk to anyone who was a business partner to Travis that could have been butt-banging Jodi? I dunno.. I seriously think it is plausible that she did it allll alone. He was naked in a small shower and was posing for pics. She set him up to be caught off-guard. Look at the pictures of the stab wounds.. any of them could have been disorienting to a victim.

The gas cans were probably used to burn evidence. Someone said earlier they thought with the amount of gas that she might have wanted to burn the house down. I think that might have been part of the premeditation of this murder, But she got too chicken. She didn't want to be seen going back to the house. So she just changed the plan and dumped it or used it for evidence.

    ME notes on skull

    1:29:29 198
What you actually see here are the ah the edges, ah its only one portion of those incised wounds we saw, there was some force that was applied that was sufficent to cause a divit in the skull bone this is actually after the skull, ah the scalp has been reflected away from the skull and what you see here is actually the divit in the center of the skull and over on the left side you see another one and there's hemmorage around those so the bone was actually sort of chipped away by the end of the implement there.

    199
this to me is the tip of a, of a impliment probably the tip of a knife or something similiar because it has this very triangular profile. this is the bone and a piece of bone has actually been chipped away by the end of the ah, the object.

?back to 195 what, this divit in 199, where was it as it applies to these two.
Right right, there's one at the extreme left end of the longer wound at the bottom, and then one towards the middle of the top one.

? 196 focus on area down here at the bottom and also to the front.. take a look at 197, in terms of these two injuries we saw back there, where is this one now.

This one's actually ah, toward the front of the head, so you're looking at the top of the head near the hairline on the forehead and the very bottom you'll see Mr Alexander's eyebrow, his left eyebrow, so this is a small incised wound ah at the forehead near the hairline on the .. (cut off by JM)

? any of these with sharp intstument after death or all predeath.

I think they are all predeath they all have bleeding associated with them.

    200 & 201
The ah, right side of Mr Alexander's neck behind the ear

? of all these injuries that we have taken a look at so far how many of those have been the type that would have been fatal of all the ones we looked at so far, the head the back, the front so far

Taken together all wounds of the back and the head could have been fatal from bleeding over time. Um the most significant wounds are going to be the neck wound which we haven't talked about yet, the stab wound that penetrates the heart the vein leading into the heart, and also the gun shot wound which we also haven't discussed.

    200 @ 1:33:25
this is another stab wound of the back part of the skull behind the ear, so there's bone underneath there it goes down into that boney area and also goes into the muscle ah the strap muscle that is on the side of the head
    below the ear
    201
    how big?
    1 1/4"

As Juan nears the murder, I use the exhibit numbers to watch for when or if he is going for the autopsy pics.
Juan always says the # before showing one.

If you an exhibit # in the 190's or 200's ... those are autopsy pics
