GREAT point!! OMG......why didn't I think of that one...she didn't necessarily have to attack him in the shower first! I guess since they explained it that way through media coverage, as the main theory, I never really entered more sequences into my thought process.
Thank you for this point of view!!
Did you see my post about Travis getting irritated with her while he was in the shower (thus his facial expression), but then he gets out of shower, and as he is towel-drying his hair (eyes covered with towel), she puts the knife into his chest. I believe the autopsy report shows that the main wound in his chest came from a slightly lower level.
For some reason, this scenario makes a lot of sense to me - it would be when he is close to Jodi, but not ready to defend himself, and as soon as she made the first stab, then all the self-defense wounds come in.
Agree.
Yep, completely agree.
Well said.
I'm sorry that happened to you.
Yep, her craziness is a HUGE factor that gets overlooked way too often.
It's an interesting thought. It does tighten up the time line a bit more though...you would have to allow for him getting out, getting his towel, and starting to dry off. Still possible. It's one of those things we will never know because Jodi is too big of a bit** to come forward with the truth.

An excellent theory, and probably close to reality. We just need to account for when the other frontal stab wounds happend. Only 9 were in the back. She also stabbed his skull and lower abdomen.
That is the mind-melting part of the whole thing. If Travis was on trial for killing Jodi with all the same evidence, mark my words, no jury would ever let him live. It should be the same for her.
Let's throw Matt in the mix again. It's fun the to imagine he was involved in some way (standing behind her with the gun? waiting in the car trunk as backup?) BUT we know he was not. Why? The text and phone and email records don't support. This woman would have left some electronic trace of that planning. When people collaborate on a murder the number of texts/calls would be massive. Hundreds.
Given that the main chest wound did not come from a downward angle, at some point, he would have to be standing right in front of her for her to stab him like that.
If he has already been stabbed and is protecting himself, its hard to see many other moments in this sequence where he would stand facing her, giving her direct aim at his chest. That is why him having his arms up towel drying his head seems the most obvious to me.
Jinkasaurus!Yes! I just read your post too, that is also a VERY good point!! I ran through that scenario after you posted it, and looked back on that last picture of Travis...I can totally picture him just standing up and saying, "You know what? Fuck this Jodi, get the hell out of here, Dammit!!!" towel dries his hair a little as he's walking away from her..........BOOM! I love reading all these possibilities... You're right I also remember the M.E. saying the first wound was from a lower level...stabbing somewhat upward. Really does make a lot of sense. Caught completely off-guard. That sneaky little hussy.
Hmm. Wasn't the most prominent chest wound a fatal one that pierced the heart? You could be right there considering the amount of blood on the sink, it would have to be a serious wound to create that splatter. From defending himself at the sink, he probably staggered away, she got him in the back multiple times and collapsed at the end of the hallway where she delivered the cut throat. It sucks to theorize on what happened because it makes you realise how much Travis really suffered.

Today I tried to imagine what Travis would think if he knew about all of us obsessively following his case (like he is up in Heaven looking down on us or something) - and I thought, he would realize that the overwhelming majority of us are devastated about what happened to him and we want the person who did this to pay.. and that we can barely comprehend how Jodi did this to him - how she managed to even think about doing it in the first place, and then how did she actually bring herself to do it !!! At least that is how I feel.
TO ALL THE LOVELY MEMBERS OF MDS:
What do you think this week will bring us... Do you think the predictions are true, that Jodi will be meeker acting tomorrow, lose most of that shitty smugness (courtesy of her defense team coaching her sorry ass over the weekend)?? Or do you think she's still got a fire under her ass for Juan...and will challenge him to the end? Do you think there will be waves of arrogance from her, with waves of apologetic, teary testimony? I guess we'll all find out tomorrow, I'm just curious about the predictions in here. You have all been spot on, this entire trial!you all!
I grew up with many of my Mormon friends (and other Christian friends) using the term courting. My circles overlapped with Travis', so maybe that was a regional trend? Common in religious kids at the least.
That's a good thought...I had something similar the other day too, thinking if heaven exists, and we're able to have any awareness, I hope the same as you, Travis sees all this love and support for him, and getting justice for him. I hope if nothing else, that brings his soul peace... I also hope that he has haunted the hell out of Jodi at least a couple of times, since he left earth with unfinished business. I hope this trial ends the way we all want it to end...(THIS many people's opinion and perception of Jodi on this forum and everyone I talk to) can't be wrong.
Love you all guys. Today I, once again, got to brush up against the great open heart of America. I grieve for Travis Alexander who had his share wrenched from him.
Goodnight.![]()

The main thing that fucks up her claim of self-defense is the overkill, which in this case includes stabs to the BACK!!!!!
I don't see how any juror in their right mind could get tripped up on that aspect.
I pray to God that she gets sent to prison. I don't really care if its LWOP or DP. I am personally against the DP, one reason is that the criminal gets so many appeals and it just drags the victim's family through all that crap over and over again for years.
I just want her to go away and be forgotten about.
Predictions?
She may try to go back to the demeanor she had with Nurmi under direct, but it isn't gonna last. Remember the first thing out of JM's mouth was ". . . and the other one is a picture of your ... DUMB ... SISTER ... Angela, correct?"
He spent Thursday feeling out what her hot buttons are, and you can be sure he's gonna be all over her hot buttons this whole week.
She'll hulk out and have to get zapped by her stun belt before March.
Can someone explain the difference in priveleges for prisoners on death row and those who are serving LWOP?
And how long average does an inmate currently on death row in AZ serve before his/her actual sentence is carried out? When was the last time anyone in AZ executed? I could just google it but I figure one of you would probably already know.
Also, I have seen in other trial juries being taken to the actual crime scene, it seems as though that would be very effective in this case. If the jury could see what a small area this actually is, how Travis was basically boxed in with no way to either escape or fight back. They would also be able to visualize the closet and how ridiculous her leap to the top to grab a gun fire it after being body slammed on a tile floor and magically leaping up like an action hero in yet another movie in her own mind. And it needs to keep be stressed over and over how the time frame for all of this was minutes.
The photo of his closet does show something green towards the back, can anyone tell what that is?
I don't think Jodi is going to have any major melt-down on cross. There are too many breaks each day, a long lunch, and the entire day in court is only from 10:30-4:30pm, so I think she has lots of time to compose herself.
She will continue to do what she did on Thursday- argue about each and every word Juan uses, try to answer neither yes nor no when possible, and then pause while she tries to figure out the right answer.
I also think that the major impact from Juan will be when he does his final summary of the case and pulls all the little details that emerge on cross together.
I don't think there will be a lot of "aha" Law & Order type moments when she is on the stand.
