What if Jodi brought the .25 gun, that she stole from her grandparents, to threaten to kill herself in front of Travis. This being her last ditch effort to try to get Travis back. She could have gone there knowing she was losing him, he was moving on with another woman, Jodi herself was not worthy marriage material to Travis. But this last act of trying to hurt herself in front of Travis may have worked for her before, but not on such a grand stage. Possibly threatening to cut herself, or she was sick, or she was feeling suicidal. And Travis being the nice guy he was tried to "save" her before and was drawn back into a relationship with her by those actions.
I can absolutely see that being the case.
I think what happened afterward is that her little pitty party backfired. Maybe she intended to act like she would hurt herself with the knife/gun and he threw it back in her face, like the texts saying he was tired of her games and was onto her bs. Then maybe she shot/stabbed him then out of complete rage. This still being premediated, in no way would this be SD. Her manipulating tricks didn't work this time on him.

Not at all! I liked your comment! I'm just trying to justify to myself why I'm so interested in this, haha. I'm doing analysis of criminal behavior for my graduate degree which means I'm probably not going to get a job with that either. I appreciate that you agree with my analysis! Jodi needed help a long time ago, but borderline is the worst to treat.
You must blame her. If not her, then you must blame God. She'd like that. (See below)
Vicious murderers, who try to absolve themselves of blame for the choices they make and the mayhem they wreak by casting themselves as actors in predestined roles! There are lots of examples in history. Jodi Arias is an example of one of those human beings totally devoid of any moral sense. Pure Evil!
And people thought Ted Bundy was such a nice guy! Oh and Falater who stabbed his wife over 40 times and drowned her seemed the ideal father, husband, neighbor and employee (supposedly while sleepwalking - ironically a case that Juan Martinez won!). And Dennis Rader who seemed so together no one would have thought he murdered all those people.
It's not like you can walk down the street and go "HEY! There's a killer right there...I can tell!" What about the athlete that just shot his girlfriend?!?! Or Scott Peterson who seemed like a good guy.
Killer's don't wear signs that say "BEWARE I'M PSYCHO!!" and they come in all shapes and sizes. This is the problem with thinking on an emotional level and ignoring the facts - killers don't always seem like killers. In fact, MOST of them don't.
Can someone post the last close up pic of Travis' face in the shower, the one where he's looking right at the camera? Pretty please?? tia
Fuck man. she said she did it can't they just end it now and throw her ass in the slammer. shittttttttttt

Yup! And me being the dummy I am chose to invest my life's work in treating Borderlines!! That alone should say enough about what type of person I am!!
I don't see a Gacy or Mendez in Jodi necessarily. Not so much evil but broken. She needed help and never addressed it. I'm curious if she encountered some abuse in her childhood after her younger siblings were born which caused her to start this cycle. Not defending her at all, but I really think she has a moral compass deep down, but her mental health and the "all about me" narcissistic personality has completely covered it up.
She's been in prison surrounded by women, family members and lawyers who have her believe that she is a victim. I think she knows deep down that she really did something horrible and wasn't victimized, but refuses to admit that in order to save her own ass. However, I wonder if she actually broke down for real and just told the truth and showed remorse if she would garner some sympathy. The pretending not to know act is completely hanging her right now.
That doesn't explain though why she rented a car, a low-profile car. Or why she turned the plates upside down so they couldn't be read. Or why she bought/borrowed gas cans so that she didn't have to stop in Arizona to refuel.
Personally, I feel Jodi was very methodical about this whole thing. It was very much premeditated.
Thinking about most killers -- your average one, rather than a serial killer -- I don't believe they take so many steps. That's why many get caught and incriminate themselves easily. They drove their own car, which had the victim's dna/blood in it. Or they were caught on camera somewhere in the vicinity of the crime. They left fingerprints at the scene. And so on.
Jod actually staged a break-in at her home, so that the gun that was used on Travis was conveniently missing. Obviously she couldn't have used it since someone stole it a week earlier. I mean, she planned this out at least a week in advance with the stolen gun.
Jodi rented a car. A low-profile car that wouldn't draw attention, and that wouldn't be recognized by either Travis' friends/roommates or the neighbors when she arrived and left the scene. She certainly also didn't want to leave blood stains and dna in her own car.
Jodi borrowed and bought extra gas cans, so that she could drive through Arizona and not be caught on gas station surveillance cameras as having been in the state. Jodi badgered Darryl 3 separate times to get her hands on those gas cans. Days in advance.
Jodi took the battery out of her phone so that it would not ping cell towers as she drove through Arizona. People don't take batteries out to save battery life. They just turn their phone off. And for all the driving Jodi did (2000-some miles?), she couldn't find a walmart or radio shack along the way in order to buy a new car charger?
Jodi has a meet-up with Ryan scheduled as an alibi. She was very, very late for that meet-up. Jodi also crawled all over Ryan so as to not look suspicious and still obsessed with Travis. Jodi was showing that she was over Travis because she was pursuing Ryan and thus had no reason to kill Travis out of jealousy. That trip was planned in advance. Except, Jodi screwed herself by taking the sex and shower photos that put her at Travis' house and naked with him. There goes the claim she was over him and on to someone new.
Jodi also borrowed large sums of money from another guy friend and told him she was desperate to go see Travis.
Jodi was meticulous to try and provide herself with an alibi and to plan out a way to do what she did without getting caught. They can't blame her for the murder because she didn't have a gun, she claimed. Her grandparents gun of the same caliber was "stolen". They didn't find the knife, so they can't match up a murder weapon nor have Jodi's prints/dna on it. They don't have her on tape stopping anywhere in Arizona. They didn't have any evidence in her car, because she used the rental.
She really thought she was going to do this and get away with it. Only problem is, it didn't go as planned. Travis didn't die immediately so she had to get her hands dirty, leaving behind dna/hair/blood. Things were far messier than she planned and taking too long to clean up. She likely thought she could get there in the middle of the night, kill Travis while roommates were not home or sleeping and slip out before anyone noticed. That didn't happen, so she had to throw things in the laundry and try to ruin them with bleach.
She possibly tried to ruin the camera after deleting images because she knew if the camera was stolen then suspicion would fall on her. She and Travis were always taking pictures. She couldn't claim it was a robbery because a robber doesn't slash and stab someone to death to steal a camera.
No, she planned this all out and she thought she would get away with it. She thought they had nothing on her, until camera photos caught the murder on film.
Totally off subject, but does anyone else have trouble with the iminent ads coming up while navigating the forum?
I was having this problem last week. It is a bitch to solve. I tried with multiple virus programs and spyware/adware programs. I think I eventually got rid of the issue, but I had to actually block iminent.com in Firefox.
Supposedly it is some kind of add-on or search bar, but it was not in my add/remove programs at all.
Best thing I can say to do is block iminent.com in your browser options and do a good scan with some virus/spyware programs. I haven't had any issues since I did that.
This is possible. Although, I think if she did it, it was all for show. I have dealt with major depression in my past and been suicidal - I don't buy that Jodi is. I also have a sister who we are currently watching who is going through some of the things Jodi claims to have gone through - an abusive (emotionally, manipulation, guilt, MAJOR deceit...etc) relationship she'd been in for over 4 years and with it finally ending (praise heaven!!!) she has had to seek help for her depression and suicidal thoughts. Looking at her and her behavior and looking at Jodi...so fake!
She would have only done any of those attempts if it got her attention...that is what she seems all about to me. THAT is why she did all those interviews and why she talks for so long on the stand.
That's hillarious. I work in central Phoenix (about 5 miles from the court house where the trial is) and I remember watching the snow - I should have KNOWN it was because God is pissed!! HAHAHAHA. Iyou Justice (although I can't herp you anymore...)
I could buy this. It was his last chance, he didn't react the way she wanted (don't believe she truly intended to kill herself) and so she went crazy. The ONLY thing that is bugging me about the theories of bringing the gun to threaten suicide is then why the knife?!?! I don't believe for a second there was just a knife in the bathroom. If she really planned to just shoot herself, why would she have a knife handy as well. THAT doesn't make sense...
I'm by all means not trying to be confrontational. I'm interested in your posts with ImBatman! too. I'm really just trying to understand people like Jodi. If there is no evil in her, how do you think she could stab him in the heart, slit his throat and shoot him in the head? I can't wrap my head around it.
