It grew fast- too fast where there were a lot of people there that were asking basic questions without doing their own research first and it started getting really frustrating. I think I even mentioned it in my initial post--- everybody here is educated and up to date on the case so the conversations flow well.

It is a slippery slope when we start saying that a victim's legacy and overall character should be considered in a murder trial. By all means, it is more tragic to our sensibilities when a "good" person is murdered. If that person has a family, led a good life, contributed to society, etc. we may feel that it is more tragic than if a bum on the side of the road who never contributed to anything or anyone is murdered.
(I put children and similarly dependent victims in an entirely different category altogether, emotionally speaking. These are victims that are pure and innocent, in that you cannot possible put them in a "good" or "bad" category to begin with. But, that is easily an entirely different discussion. Ultimately, we should seek to put all victims in this same category. But we are human and tend to want to place children and other dependent victims higher.)
The Jodi supporters are trying to put a "value," if you will, on Travis' life. They are trying to bring down the reputation of Travis in order to diminish the crime that was committed against him. If we engage with them in regards to Travis' "goodness" we are allowing the crime of murder to be diluted with things that are not relevant.
The same theory can be applied to the murderer. It is a common defense strategy to try to make the defendant out to be better than the victim. However, if a person is a "really great person" does not give them more of a right to take a life than a "jerk of a person."
My point is that ultimately it does not matter if Jodi is a witchy whore or a virginal sweetheart. The same as it does not matter if Travis was a jerky womanizer or a devout virginal mormon. What matters is if Jodi willingly and with forethought took the life of Travis in cold blood.
I believe that is what the prosecution must prove. If we place a higher burden on them, such as preserving a legacy, then we are saying that the "goodness" of a person plays a factor in whether or not they are deserving of being murdered.
I've said many times that I will not debate if Travis is a sinner or a saint. The above is the reason that I feel that way. I realize it is late and I am extremely sleepy. I hope this all makes sense to me in the morning. Please feel free to disregard all of this and have an entirely different opinion. I just wanted to state how I feel about it.

The chit chat on the phone sex recording after her fake orgasm -----> OMG this is the one moment in this trial when I actually felt weirdly bad for her, just for a sec. The sex part was just stupid sounding, like something teenagers would make. But this last part of the tape is seriously cringe-worthy, hearing him lose interest as she grabs more desperately to keep his attention. Repeating the Fergie thing is the worst OMG...just stop!
This part stood out to me, thought I'd share:

Hypothesis: she included the Spiderman underwear in her pedophile fairytale* because she knew that he wasn't into Spiderman. It's one of many smoothly-disguised, post-murder "fuck you's" to Travis.
* No, I don't believe any of this part of the defense. Not until someone else corroborates her testimony. I just think he was lusty and curious. And not knowing about KY? Come on. If she introduced him to THAT, then she probably got him started on MOST of the stuff they did because he clearly didn't know about some very basic things. I've only seen Darryl's sister commenting. Other than that, none. Although they did say that his sisters monitor it. Don't get me wrong- it's a very informative and supportive page- I think admin do a very good job at keeping everyone up-to-date on the latest developments, but it's all the comments/conversations posted that pushed me away from being active on it.
