I was being paid- they had adopted a new "120-day policy" for paychecks. I thought it was annoying, but after five years of working for them, I never assumed that I wouldn't actually see the money.

Investigators learned that 20-year-old Magnum Kalson, a resident of Cavalier Apartments on NE 162nd Avenue, had exchanged words with the large group when they arrived near a fence outside his apartment, according to Sgt. Wallace Coon.
A 15-year-old then jumped the fence and ran after Kalson and the others followed. The group chased Kalson back into his apartment and attacked him. Coon said the 15-year-old at one point dragged Kalson’s sleeping girlfriend from her bed before returning to attack Kalson.
Kalson was able to grab a kitchen knife and fight off the attackers. The 15-year-old who started the altercation received a six-inch-long slicing wound to the back of his head, Coon said.
The group left the apartment and ran out onto NE 162nd Avenue in front of a patrol car just after midnight, Coon said, and that’s when officers began to investigate.
Kalson suffered numerous abrasions and other injuries from the fight, but did not require medical attention. His girlfriend was not injured in the attack.
The 15-year-old was taken to Emanuel Legacy Hospital, in Portland, for treatment.
He and two other juveniles were arrested for burglary and assault. Three adults in the group were also arrested for burglary and assault.
“Gresham Police urge you to use caution when confronting anyone on the street for any reason,” Coon said. “Attacks of this type are not uncommon and we recommend contacting police in these types of situations for assistance.”
It's just too bad the stab wounds he gave to the little fuckers weren't a little more serious.
