I'm hoping it passes. One of the reasons I'm constantly called for jury duty is because they don't allow felons to serve. I didn't mind serving when I couldn't get fired. Now, I essentially can be because if I can't take care of my clients' pets, they'll find someone that can.

I've been called 12 times in my life. I'm done. Stahp.

Lucky!!! I've been tried and acquitted, so any prosecutor with half a brain won't let me anywhere near a deliberation room.

I want to go so badly, cause if I go on a case unless someone was hurt/killed or property was stolen/destroyed, that defendant is going home.

I didn't have to serve every single time. A few times I was summoned, but was never called in. Once I was able to defer because I was in college then when I went they settled before trial. Yet another, I was dismissed. A couple I didn't get chosen. Only once did I actually have to sit through a trial and it was for destruction of property.

2. The defendant had shot a person in the head while that person was sitting in their car. I think the victim survived. I was disqualified, because a friend of mine had been murdered (look up Lauren Giddings).

there was a 20/20 or dateline episode that had a lot of info of the interrogation and texts. I forget which one. I'm sure it'll be easy to look up.

That would freak me out, being in a room with a killer. Being in a room with a serial killer would be absolutely terrifying!

I always get excited when I get summonsed, I was called at the time of Baden Clay's, but at the wrong courthouse and again was on the list when the old skanky dude that killed the girl from Waterford was suppost to go on trial but his was postponed too. Bummer. I usually get to walk across the room but get challenged before I get to swear in.

GAH! You were so close to a few juicy ones!!!! My dads a lawyer but I don't bother hitting him up for his thoughts on things; he's not really allowed any anyhow I guess - he's working a few homicides around Newcastle ATM, a lot of DV related ones. I'm SO close to the action, yet, so far.

The felon that failed to make child support payments will be cross-examined on June 7th. The judge has until July 14th to declare a mistrial.

Yes! I watched it a couple of weeks ago. Her mother is nuts. I think her and her mother live in disney fairytale princess land. They are both so immature and fkd up. Reality never visited their house that's for sure. They're both cuckoo.
