    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but.....

    If she isn't from the South then probably not lol. It's a term they use down there which is laced with pity towards the person they're saying it to and it's eventually become code to really mean, "You're wrong. You're an idiot. How have you made it in life this long being so dumb".
