Right? MySpace was great, because it was in the beginning stages of social media. The networks were smaller and more private, and it was so much more fun to use. Facebook started small, but turned into this giant, seething vile creature that seems to have taken over the world. It puts everyone who uses it basically on display to the world - and being the private person that I am, I try to juggle that privacy with the fact that I enjoy keeping in touch with people I know who are scattered all over the country. And that's how they get you - they've made it so that you NEED this thing to stay in touch with your friends which makes it even harder to cut the cord.
