court reporter: "I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"
witness: "A creepy ass cracker."
court reporter: "I'm sorry, I still can't understand you."
witness: "A CREEPY ASS CRACKA!"
court reporter: "OK. Got it."

I feel bad for her, but holy shit, if I was the court reporter I'd through down my ear phones and walk out about now.
Selfishly, I'd like the one where the landlord wants his money to show the jury St Georgy.
Don't forget the dangerous deadly weapon, a 23oz tea can!

i have to say though... this girl.taking her age, nerves, etc. into account - oh man!
girl: you can go.... you can go.... you can go.
lawyer: (quizzical look) sometimes, uh... it takes me a moment to, uh... come up with my next question.
.................................................. ....
girl: do you watch first 48?
lawyer: what?
girl: do you watch first 48?
lawyer: i'm sorry...?
girl: do you watch first 48? it's a show. they always call the last number the victim was talking to.
defense atty is trying to pound that her testimony is bad because she didn't call the police and report that she was talking to him at the time - and she said on tv police always look at the last number called and are suppose to find her if they want to talk and since they didn't she figured she wasn't a witness![]()
Ok they need to get her off the stand, she is not helping their case
holy cow!! if he calls her a liar one more time about making up an excuse so she didn't have to go to the wake cuz she didn't want to see the body!! FFS

I mean if he's trying to show the jurors she's a liar he's doing a piss-poor job. She's explaining why she lied and her reasoning makes sense. She didn't want to go to the funeral because she didn't want to see the body. She told them she was 16 because she didn't want her name in the papers. The end. He keeps asking the same questions over and over and over just so he can say "So when you lied about why you didn't go to the wake...The lie you told about not going to the wake...When you told them the lie about why you didn't go to the wake..." FFS, move on.
I did like how the judge said "You can't have a speaking objection to your own question." and he just stared at her.
Oh she is wonderful for the prosecution, her pain and how hard she is trying to keep it together is bleeding out. His not so subtle attempts to paint her as a terrible person, an awful liar for not going to the wake are backfiring badly especially when she told him "you've got to understand, you've got to understand, I was the last person to speak to him" the pain in that girls voice is going to resonate with the women on that jury.
I thought this man was supposed to be such a great attorney?
