[QUOTE=Sneakers the Wonder Dog;3421191]I saw it too but I thought I was just seeing things.

I too thought she was laughing, but as I continued to watch it just looked like a bigger attempt on her part to appear as though she was crying. I rarely cry, and today I shed some serious tears. Steven and Samantha were so hard to watch, I can only imagine what the Jury thinks. Nothing in mitigation will have this effect, nothing.

Holy crap. I had to log-on just to mention this: I was stupid & decided to take a look at the jaii site and guess what? Somebody over there wants to know why, if Travis has such a big, "wonderful," supportive family ... why, if he has all those things, aren't his mother and father there? Now that push comes to shove (and I'm paraphrasing here), why aren't they there at the courthouse to support him?

Even Flores had tears! Very very powerful and I hope it is seared into the minds of the jury.

What a horrible thing for her to live with! And she didn't get to see the justice for Travis here on earth. So sad.

Travis was there. Steven, Samantha, Martinez and Flores made sure that he was and I hope the jury felt it.

And that evil bitch taunted her by sending flowers and an eighteen page letter.
And that bitch is acting like she is a part of their family?? or what?? why is the crocodile crying now?? I mean the letter, the flowers, the questions to Flores in the interigation if Travis' family asked about her? Wanting to know which family member Flores talked to?
She BROKE the hearts of this family she pretends to care about and my mind is blown at how twisted that is!?

Update from Ian (who is at the courthouse again today):

He did not get in for the morning session, but has been waiting in line for the afternoon session, and he is in seat 10. That should mean he has a good chance of getting in.

Of course, Jodi whipped out the kleenex and pretended to wipe her nose. And yet, no need to wipe her eyes, at all. No tears. Just another show from the killer.

Are the jurors allowed to react in this phase? I have this nightmarish feeling that Nurmi is going to run to the judge and cry "mistrial!" for the umpteenth time.
If he does then they are going to have to use Jodi's Aunt? (the one with the glasses) also because she was also wiping tears away.
I do think Jodi was actually crying though, when they dismissed court and the camera was lingering on her, I could see tear splashes on the black shirt. I do not know how this freak manages to cry without ever fogging up her glasses though...

I would have liked to have seen more people as well. I just don't understand why victim impact statements were read in the middle of Jodi's portion of the trial.

I'm so glad that Travis' siblings had the chance to speak for him today. To tell the jury about the man he was to them. Not the lies Jodi and her attorneys and her expert witnesses spewed for the last 4 months to try and get a murderer off or a lighter sentence.
I'm so grateful for the jury that was placed on this trial. I believe they will make the right decision.

Looks like the feed is replaying the victim impact statements - but just the camera on JA.

They're probably trying to capture the part where it looks like she's laughing. Duper's Delight perhaps.

Steven Alexander broke my heart. I hope he is getting help to deal with all of what the tragic murder of his brother has done to him and that the end of this trial will bring him a small amount of peace and a sense of justice.

Hln's commercials are just redonkulous... Arias' art is an imitation of her life: copycat, unoriginal, derived from something that is not naturally one's own. Maybe it's the bpd that makes her parasitically take on the qualities and characteristics belonging to other people. I hope the Alexander family (even her family) can find closure on this soon:(

The Alexander siblings' statements have been very eloquent. They are to be commended.

Would expect nothing less than the fakery & nonchalance on the parts of Arias & Peg Bundy, to be honest.

Re-watching but with the camera angle only on Stabby. She looks like someone hurt her feelings. If she felt true remorse, she would be sobbing. I hope the jurors take note.

That's it for Travis' family. Jodi will speak, apparently, as well as her friend Patti and her ex Darryl Brewer.

Do they do it like the Alexander's? Or is it on the stand with questions from both sides and all that?

Jodi likely realizes now that she could have been part of this family if she had been different. This is the family she never had.

She looks like a robot trying to convey the expected emotions.

I'm not sure, but I think they will just get up and talk like the Alexanders did. I don't think they can be cross-examined, but I could be wrong.

I do believe that Martinez will be able to address what Jodi, Patti and Darryl said though, in his closing.
