Sheriff had to put her on suicide watch because Jodi said she wanted the death penalty. I'm sure most people do not believe her, but I think, legally, the Sheriff had no choice but to put her into observation just in case. Since it's Jodi, she probably knew that saying she wanted the DP would do just that, put her into observation and delay the next phase. Perhaps she figured it would buy her defense team more time?
Of course, we don't know for sure that she did it intentionally, but just knowing that she had that interview set-up well in advance, it just seems likely to me that she knew that she would probably be held and would not be forced to go to court for a few days.
They did try to get the DP removed back on the 9th, but this was the DT trying to remove themselves, again.
Agree, this is not smart at all. It's one thing to defend a heinous criminal, but that happens all the time, and though we may not like the DT, you can usually respect that they did a job that someone had to do. Although I am having trouble mustering any respect for Willmott and Nurmi. But, it's worse for an attorney I think, to show that they are willing to turn tail and run, leaving their client in the lurch when the going gets tough. It reflects on their abilities and also their integrity.
Wow, they're really jury-stalking? That is scary. I mean, most likely, nothing will come of it, but you just never know if there is one nut who is unstable enough to do something, either to try to intimidate, or attack them after the verdict.

What a dazzling lineup!
- stoner tattooed Patti
- former cellmate Kim Ross, who did time for armed robbery with a deadly weapon, kidnap with apprehension of injury among other things (supposedly has a long rap sheet)
- ex BF Daryl Brewer. I remember this poor guy on the stand, when asked how he knew the defendant...long pause..."I knew Jodi because...we were in love..." as Jodi looked on tearfully.
Wonder why BFF Donavan isn't on the list?
MultiQuote. It exists. Famialiarize yourself with it.
Fuck.
Motion denied: JA defense team tried to quit her after post trial interview
1. Donavan does appear to have a ginormous melon. I always thought that Donavan looked a Garbage Pail Kid.
2. The mitigation specialist burst into laughter when Alyce LaViolette blurted out to Martinez "Mr. Martinez, are you angry with me?", to be precise.
3. Agreed that the on-scene reports from the likes of faq, Ian & Denver Clipper have been really great.
Thank you all so much...........I am home today....I CAN WATCH!!! Doing my happy dance
She was booked into a Pima County jail where she unsuccessfully tried to kill herself
She was lead from the courtroom shouting: 'I'm not going to prison. I'll kill myself, you watch!'
JA is not original at all.
The sad thing is, this Lifer, that kidnapped a child, strangled another, baby but.. is today free.
LIFE in AZ sentencing has no guarantees they will in fact, never be free.
This woman was said to have turned over a new leaf. Check out her prison infractions, AFTER her so called turned over a new life.

This was no reformed sweet old lady. But she won freedom.

LOL I wonder what they are thinking in having someone like Kim Ross stand up for Jodi? Maybe she'll say that Jodi helped her find religion and reform her ways.
If this is the same Kimberly Ross that I found on the Maricopa Courts site, then she also had charges for manufacture of methamphetamine as well as fleeing from the law. Nice choice there, Defense Team!

So none of Jodi's family is going to speak?
Yup, that was me. I was there for two days - the first day being the day of the sex tape- and that same night appeared on Dr. Drew. I know most of you guys don't care for Dr. Drew nor HLN, but really it was an awesome experience. Overall it was a GREAT trip for me - definitely worth the solo road trip from So. Cal.!
Oh Leopard Lady. She wasn't deemed Leopard Lady yet when I was there, but she was definitely there. She made herself very well known because she came and stood in front of all of us that were waiting to get in, and said she wasn't there particularly to watch the trial, but to see and meet all the 'crazy court watchers'.And about an hour later, she first to volunteer for a local newstation interview, all while wearing a shirt with big bold letters saying: 'ALL ABOUT ME'.

Wow, I didn't know there was anyone else there but Poppycock. Wish I had met you Gma! Glad you made it in and great story about Jodi staring. She has such creepy lifeless eyes.
Truly all-star! Kim should be fun to listen to. A convict sticking up for another convict. That testimony should be about as believable as Jodi's testimony herself.
I'm going to voice an unpopular sentiment here -- I hope JA does not get the death penalty. I don't support the death penalty for a myriad of personal/religious/economic and other reasons.
LWOP is a harsher consequence and a much less favorable/safe existence for men in Texas, and likely most other states. Women are different -- even in prison -- so I can't speak to that.
I don't want Jodi to have one more millisecond of her "15 minutes of fame" that she so adores. No media countdown to death.
I don't want her life to be interesting or have meaning or purpose because she's fighting appeals and bucking the system as much as possible draining precious time and dollars from Arizona's legal system.
Death gives her a voice. LWOP is no more than just existing. No attention. No publicity. Nothing to look forward to.
Just bad food and worse odors and the constant, deafening noise that is the hallmark of prison.
I don't want to hear anymore about her. She's not worth it.
And I want her to know that nobody out here is thinking/talking/worrying about her. That will destroy her.
Jodi will fade into the inconsequential life that she so assuredly fought to avoid.
Goodbye Jodi Arias. Hello inmate #338580916. Welcome to hell ... every day.
Wasn't there something going on right before juror 5 got dismissed, where someone called the judge and left her a voicemail to report juror "misconduct" or something? I believe, although we never got official confirmation, that voicemail was not the reason 5 got dismissed. But, just the fact that people were calling the judge and attempting to tattle on jurors makes me think of JAII.
Now, supposedly the message was saying that 5 was "coaching" Jodi by shaking her head "no" or something, but I never got the idea that 5 was a Jodi supporter. More likely she was shaking her head "no" as in "no I don't believe the bullshit you are spewing". That would certainly be something that a Jodi supporter would try and use to oust the juror, but yet pretend that they were trying to oust someone by claiming them "pro-Jodi". Perhaps they fancy themselves as clever as Jodi does herself?
Anyways, I would not be surprised if some of the Jodi-ites have been playing games all along trying to remove specific jurors, or enough jurors to try and cause a mistrial.

The Felon wore her Satin shirt yesterday to make it easier to slide down in her chair. At one point it looked like she wanted to slip right off it onto the floor.
Donavan looks more beastly every day. I can't believe that Sandy Arias and her sisters trust her with Grandma.
Denver described the look that the Felon gave him as "pure evil" and I believe him.
During the 10 minute recess was the felon chatty/smiling with her defense team? Did Nurmi speak to her at all? Did she attempt to communicate with her Mom or Donavan in any way besides looking at them?
I was worried she was going to eat you!![]()
They were the best thing on HLN yesterday! That's a show I would watch!
I always thought Dan Freeman was infatuated with her. He visited her in jail regularly right up until Dec 2008, I think. It's not hard to see how she could manipulate him.
Biggie likes Smites instead of positive reps LOL He takes pride in them! I owe him two from yesterday
Stabby flew the freak flag for eighteen days on the witness stand!
LMFAO!
Haha you should!
Prison is going to be an eye opener for her. Plus no interviews with media according to what I've read about AZDC and what's been posted here.
I read some of the shit there yesterday and some of them were making all kinds of threats against JM, the Judge and the jury. If I didn't think most of the "posters" there weren't actually sock puppets posing as real people by the Admin of that site I'd be more worried.
I would love to see Donavan with her Mickey Mouse voice on the stand testifying about she she tweets for her BFF.
