Now this may set a few of you off but I was able to listen to the ninja story she told the detective. Do you realize that she told the story of what really happened. There is truth in some of her statements if it benefits her. Here is what happened. I know a lot of you think the prosecution timeline of events is correct but it isn't. She shot him first and here is why I believe that is 100% correct...not that it matters anymore...or really ever did..
In her interview with the detectives where she was pushing her ninja story, she thought she would get away with that story. She knew she shot him first so she used that to say they (the ninjas) shot him first while he was on all 4s and he was 'screaming'. She was trying to make the crime fit what she did. She asked the Det. for pictures but he refused. Flores himself stated at that time that he believed the gunshot was 1st. It's in the interview.
Mesa, Arizona, police Det. Esteban Flores testified that, at some point in the investigation, he thought the gunshot to Alexander's forehead was the first injury. He said that was based on his conversations with Horn.
I'll also go with the opinion of someone who has no skin in the game.

The knife was secondary because the single shot didn't kill him, he was getting up and the gun jammed (my hypothesis). She ran for a knife while he got up and staggered to the sink to look at himself. She started the stabbing in the back, he turned around trying to defend himself where he got his hand wounds, and she stabbed him in the chest. He staggered down the hall, she followed, when he fell, she jumped on him and slit his throat.
How she did it:
What she did was she got him to sit down in the shower for a picture. She wants the whole thing to end with the gun in the shower for easy disposal of evidence. She pulls out the gun, he turns as he sees it and that's why it enters the side of his head (he defensively turns away) and goes down towards the cheek (because she was above him). If I am not mistaken, the last pic shows him sitting in the shower, facing right. The bullet enters the right side. She shot him first and was trying to make the ninja story fit the order of the crime.
Also notice the last pic doesn't show his face because she was in the process of pulling out the gun while taking the picture. Thus she didn't take a picture with his face in it. She was letting go of the camera at that point.
That's how it really happened IMO. The stabbing in the heart first OR stabbing in the back first doesn't jive with the amount of blood spewed all over the sink. Only a gunshot wound to the head affecting the nasal cavity and mouth would. This guy was also way bigger than her. He was in a compromised position at the sink because of being shot while trying to ward off the knife.
What did she want to happen? Unload the whole gun into him in the shower so he never gets out of it. That was the plan. Easy cleanup to wash away any evidence. If it had happened that way, the only evidence would have been the camera and it wouldn't have had the last 2 pics on it AND she may very well have taken it with her. She may have gotten away with it or at worse a lesser verdict due to just gunshots (and no murder weapon found).
Once he got up, she flew into a psycho rage because she couldn't believe that even though she only fired one shot, to the head, it didn't kill him. Thus the rest of the story.
