Did you hear that she plans on addressing the jury directly without allowing the defense or the prosecution to ask her questions? This is what I am referring to. She has some plan that she is concocting. She's not going out with a sob story of 'Im sorry'.

She still thinks she can talk her way out of this.

Don't worry about Jen-Jen, her husband will whisk her away to a spa as soon as the circus is over.
Nurmi will probably write a book about how much he hates Jodi. Didn't he wear that same green shirt and tie on verdict day? Doesn't he realize it's not his "lucky" shirt?

HLN dorks thinking JA will get up there and show remorse. Did they even see her look after the 2nd guilty verdict. She is planning a grand finale.

My outrageous prediction for tomorrow: She tells them that she wants the death penalty. Not she requests it. That she wants it from them. This is to take the wind out of the sails of the prosecution and the Alexander family. She will not show any sorrow for what she did. She still believes it is justified.

HLN will have a field day if that happens.

Can she waive her appeals? Is there a fast track to the DP if the defendent want's it fast?

Actually the question that was posed to her in that interview was asking her what she would have done differently after the murder. It's at 5:16 of this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JGqNG9Z8v4

Troy Hayden: So, if you had to do this all over again. . .you're in the desert, you notice that you've got blood on your hands. . .how do you handle it?

Jodi: I would turn around and drive to the Mesa Police Department.

Troy: And what do you think would have happened to you then?

Jodi: I don't know, but it would have been the right thing.

At some point in that interview though she should have shown some remorse, if she had any real feelings. But, like Ian said today, there's nothing redeeming about her. She's not capable of being remorseful.

That's what I want to see happen because it would be unprecedented. They are low on sodium thiopental so it probably won't happen. She may even know that. I think Arizona has only 1 dose left.

Welcome back, biggie! Glad to see you!

I have no clue what to expect from her address to the jury. I think it is possible she will plead for her life, but I do not think that her requesting death is beyond the realm of possibility at all. If she asks for death, I think it will be partly because she is trying to use reverse psychology and banking the jury will do the opposite of what she claims she wants, However I think the main reason she would ask for death is because deep down she thinks the chances are high she will get death anyway, and if she ASKS for it, then while she spends years waiting for it, she will be able to tell herself that nobody imposed anything on her, but that the jury complied with mighty Jodi's wishes and gave her what she wanted.

As bizarre as it sounds, I think Jodi would be willing to trade away her life in order to be able to still tell herself that she had the upper hand and "got her way" in the end. It is that important to her.

As I understand it, she cannot waive the first appeal. It is automatic. She can waive appeals after that, but others can and will step in and try to appeal on her behalf. It could be her family, it could be anti-death penalty groups, or anyone who wants to try to establish standing to do so.

Speaking about appeals, I think (unless she commits suicide or she waives her rights to them) we will see a bunch of appeals. I think one of the strongest things that the lawyers have is the inconsistency on what was first (gun or knife), and the ME's mistake in his report. I also think another thing they will use on appeals is the jury not being sequestered, JM signing autographs (prosecutorial misconduct), and the issue about the prosecution not giving the defense certain documentation (I think there was a hearing about this before the trial started).

Now that JAII has gone incognito, I wondering if they're huddling thinking of ways to spare her from this injustice. You know, the suspicious roommates who didn't smell the body(who HAD to be the ones who slit his throat and cleaned up the crime scene), The Hugh's and the evil PPL Empire, The Mormon Mafia. Not only did they frame poor Jodi, but are also out to get them. Why? I have no idea. This is just some of the crazy shit they've made up since the trial started. Not only that, but the even MORE EVIL HLN Network are involved too. In fact, the HLN network is owned and operated by none other than the Mormon Mafia. Pre-Paid Legal is on their payroll, and the "Hugh's" are the ones doing the dirty work, hiring both of Travis's roommates to kill Travis. Doesn't that make sense? Plus they are hundreds of girl's Travis mentally, physically, and sexually abused, that are afraid to come forward. And who is that guy Gus is protecting?
Hmmm...I'm sure that now they are password protected (JAII-VENT & MISSION 1), they are likely coming up with even more conspiracy theories.
Not only that, but they are the ONLY AUTHORIZED ENTITY allowed to collect donations for Jodi and her family. What could they be conspiring to do? With the creative imaginations these people have, God only knows. Perhaps we'll have a bunch of people brought to court tomorrow, to lie about what an awesome person Jodi is, and how the things she's done for them has changed their lives forever (even though they've never met her, talked to her, texted to her, or in any way had communication with her whatsoever, except through JAII). They're planning for appeals, planning on using donation money to find her a "good" lawyer. What I do know is that they're thoughts right now are on how to free Jodi. They've become cult like, and you all are pretty scary. Remember, all of that money you're sending Jodi, has created a surplus in her commissary goodies, and she's giving freebies the "indigent" ladies in the prison. Now THAT takes a sweet and gentle heart. Mitigating factor to be used? Perhaps. Regardless of JAII, Jodi murdered Travis in a cruel, heartless, soulless, and brutal way. She was found guilty of murder 1 in a court of law, and it has been found that this crime was particularly cruel. Now it's time for the Alexanders to face the murderer of their brother. Any JAII snooping around? The truth seems to be beyond your capacity to understand. Good luck in your quest. Just remember, what this person your defending is capable of. She could do it to you too. If it was you, I would hope that your family would be there fighting for justice for you too.

Ok, I just needed to get that out .. whew!!!

Sorry everybody..not really, but it's the nice thing to do :o)

Hello everyone, This is my first post. I have been reading your posts for quite awhile now. I wanted to join in, if I may, because I am so greatful that true justice is prevailing in the Arias case. I have been on pins and needles, as a lot of people have been, during this trial. I have so much respect for Juan Martinez.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks to you all for your comments during this trial. They have been informative and sometimes very entertaining.

This is correct. Dale Hausner (who is on Arizona Death Row) requested that all further appeals be waived following his mandatory first appeal.

The way she describes travis here doesnt sound like the abuser/pedo she tried so hard to portay to the jury

I'm back to my daughters place and trying to unwind. What a day. What an experience being in the courtroom this morning. I've got lots of thoughts and observations that I will post after I get a bite to eat and some liquid refreshments.

It was a treat meeting Ian. He is very articulate and speaks eloquently. I look forward to hearing his thoughts on today too.
