I guess it's entirely possible one of the girls would want to stay apart from the others. I think it is really amazing that Gina's family wants Michelle.

For some reason, I think Michelle tried to protect the other girls, and maybe tried to redirect Castro's attention off of them.

W.T.F is wrong with that family??
A bunch of fruitcakes that's for sure

As someone else said, I think he favored Amanda. There are so many conflicting reports coming out, but I thought he kept her separate from Gina and Michelle. Maybe Gina and Michelle formed a tighter bond, and Amanda's just happy to be with her own family.
Didn't they say Michelle had an anxiety attack when she left the hospital for a short time and had to go back? Then Gina's family took her home with them. They must have some guilt feelings because they knew Ariel. I'm glad the girls are all in a good safe, environment now. Only time will tell how long Michelle stays with them. I don't think any MH professional will pull them apart.

The daughter of the suspected ring leader in the kidnapping case of three Cleveland women was convicted and sentenced to 25 years imprisonment in 2008 for trying to murder her then 11-month-old baby, The Daily Mail reports.
Emily Castro, 24, slashed her daughter Janyla's throat in April 2007 following a breakup with the child's father.

Court documents state that police were called to Emily's home in Fort Wayne, Ind. - where she moved after she became pregnant - when a passerby saw a woman running through the street with a bleeding baby in her arms, according to The Daily Mail.
The woman was Emily's mother, Grimilda Figeroa, who told police that her daughter stabbed and slashed her own child.

    continuation:
The Mail details that by 2007, Emily Castro had had a long and documented history of mental illness. Still, she was deemed mentally competent enough to stand trial for the attempted murder of her child. Apparently, Emily was not “insane,” as that word and condition are defined according to the state of Indiana's system of jurisprudence.

According to The Journal Gazette, at trial, her attorneys presented evidence that Emily Castro had suffered from depression for years even before the birth of her daughter. According to her attorneys, her depression spiraled down into extreme paranoia. It was her paranoia which led her to believe that her own family was out to kill her and her baby at the time of the attack.
She was in a psychotic depression. She'd been raised in a home of Domestic Violence. The real thing, not the JA type DV. Her mother never got any satisfaction from the courts on the abuse she suffered from Ariel. She did get away in 1996 with the kids, how old would Emily have been then? If anyone should be in the psych ward at the jail, it's Emily Castro. Maybe, in light of what a monster her father was, she'll get a more lenient sentence. (BYW The baby is alive.)

In another jaw-dropping irony, Julio Castro said his nephew Ariel Castro (the suspect) was a regular bass player in various bands that performed at a local club once owned by Gina DeJesus' uncle.

And, for me at least, the irony of all ironies here is this: Arlene Castro's (Emily and "Anthony's" younger sister) and Gina DeJesus were classmates and "best friends." In fact, it is being widely reported that Arlene Castro was the very last person to see and talk to Gina just before her father abducted her.
Arlene Castro is the one that's been on TV (holding Sneakers?) She said that Ariel showed her a photo of Amanda's daughter and she thought it looked just like her sister Emily (the one in jail)

There's a lot more info in that article. Take a look http://www.allvoices.com/contributed...Outbrain2Cents

Lillian Rodriguez, mother of accused kidnapper and rapist Ariel Castro, apologized for his actions.

Rodriguez spoke to reporters from inside her car as she was leaving the home of her son Pedro Castro.

"I am a mother in a lot of pain," Rodriguez told reporters in Spanish. "I am sorry for what my son has done." Cleveland.com reports that her comments were translated for reporters by Telemundo.

Rodriguez also said she feels sorry for the mothers of the the three women her son allegedly held captive for years inside his Cleveland home.

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight and a six-year-old girl born in captivity to Berry were all freed earlier this week after Berry was able to place a call to 911.

Castro is being held on $8 million bail and is currently on suicide watch, reports CBS News.

The two brothers of accused kidnapper Ariel Castro -- who is charged with kidnapping and raping three women for more than 10 years -- described him as a "monster" and distanced themselves from the alleged crimes, saying if they had known what was happening behind closed doors, they would have reported it to police.

Castro's two brothers – Pedro and Onil -- were initially taken into custody with their brother but released Thursday after investigators said there was no evidence linking them to the alleged crimes against Amanda Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 23, and Michelle Knight, 27.

The brothers told CNN in an exclusive interview that their brother is a "monster" and since they were arrested with him they have received death threats.

"I hope he rots in that jail," Onil Castro, 50, said. "I don't even want them to take his life like that. I want him to suffer in that jail to the last extent. I don't care if they even feed him. What he has done to my life and my family's."

I can't go nowhere because they think I'm a monster, too, and I'm not," Pedro Castro, 54, said. "And it just keeps going over and over in my head that people are just thinking that I did this."

The brothers said they fear people will still believe they are connected to the alleged kidnappings.

People think Pedro has something to do with this. Pedro don't have nothing to do with this. If I knew I would have reported it, brother or no brother," Pedro said.

Pedro said whenever he visited his brother's home it was filled with background noise.

"If not the radio, the TV. Something had to be on at all time in the kitchen. So, I couldn't hear nothing else, but the radio or the TV."

Pedro told CNN he did not visit the home much, but when he did he was not allowed past the kitchen.

Ariel Castro, 52, was arraigned Thursday in an Ohio court on charges of kidnapping and rape. Bond was set at $8 million. He has not entered a plea.

In the early hours of the investigation, Onil and Pedro's mugshots were distributed along with Ariel's connecting them to the grisly details behind the imprisonment of the three women and Berry's 6-year-old daughter, who was fathered by Ariel Castro, DNA tests revealed.

"I could not never think of doing anything like that. If I knew my brother was doing this, in a minute I would call the cops," Pedro Castro said.

New cellphone video has emerged during the tense moments Cleveland police arrived at Castro's home and pried open the front door, freeing DeJesus and Knight. The women's first glimpse of freedom was caught on video by Ashley Colon and Jasmina Baldrich as they were driving down Seymour Street when they noticed the commotion and pulled over.

There is videos and interviews at this link. Also video of the police freeing the girls.
At the link it says the 3 girls now have attorneys.

i love the way these guys talk!

anyway, they're right! i'd totally believe that there was no way they weren't involved if it wasn't for the victims themselves likely saying it was only ariel. those brothers are lucky the girls made it out alive.

Washington, May 10 (ANI): Michelle Knight, one of the three women abducted and held as sex slaves in a Cleveland home for roughly a decade, was gang-raped while in junior high school.

A year before Knight was abducted in August 2002, she was gang-raped while in junior high school and bore a child as a result of the ordeal, her great-aunt has said.

The boy, who she named Joey, was later taken from her and placed in foster care.

According to the New York Daily News, Deborah Knight, 62, said that Knight was a delightful girl, outgoing and was very helpful.

She said that all that changed when three classmates "grabbed her by the arm and raped her at the school."

Then, when Knight was at her lowest, Ariel Castro slithered into her life for 10 years, police said.

Her abduction, imprisonment and rape by Castro ended on Monday, when she and two other women escaped from Castro's house in Cleveland.

Also liberated was a 6-year-old girl born to one of Knight's two fellow captives. Knight, now 32, was forced to serve as a midwife during the delivery.

Freddie Knight, 30, the brother of Michelle Knight, visited her in the hospital on the night that she was rescued.

He said that her sister wants to start a new life, have the whole family there. (ANI)

Huh?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Michelle 21 or 22 when she was abudcted in 2002? So how could she have been in jr high a year before?

I thought she was younger, but not that young. I thought the story was she was going through a custody battle with the child's father, which if she was gang raped in jr high could pan out.

Michelle Knight was rescued last week from more than 10 years in captivity, but her family still doesn't know exactly where she is.

There were joyous reunions for Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus after they were freed from the Cleveland home where police say Ariel Castro held them captive. But a level of mystery surrounds Michelle Knight, who was rescued along with the others, but who has apparently not been reunited with her family.

Even as of Friday night, Knight hadn't spoken yet with her mother, Barbara, a family spokesperson said. In fact, Knight's family had no idea where she was and had asked police for information on her whereabouts.

Castro, a 52-year-old bus driver and musician, faces charges of rape and kidnapping in connection with the prolonged captivity of the women.

What little is known about Knight's whereabouts comes from a source close to the investigation, who told CNN that Knight "is in a safe place and very comfortable." The source did not specify further.

There were reports that Knight was at the DeJesus home, and there was a lot of activity there Saturday morning, but Knight was not there.

Her grandmother, Deborah Knight, had gone to the same home on Friday because she'd also heard Knight might be there and "besides, Gina's parents here have been waiting to meet us."

They kinda need to get the fuck over it. If they had for even a moment reacted like concerned parents, Michele might be feeling differently. She has gone through so much already. Seems to me that she is better off just rebuilding herself and she doesn't need to worry about people who were not there for her the first time.

Ugh, I am glad she isn't talking to them. Whomever she is with is 15 bajillion times better than everyone else in her life. I was kind of hoping she would be with one of the other girls, but maybe that isn't a good thing considering the need to emotionally heal.

How can we tell the Judge she's incompetent to handle her affairs so we can get out our hands any money she might be getting if she wont let us near her?

I can't find the link, but I seem to remember reading that Michelle was a little bit "delayed" and if that is the case, she could be in junior high at an older age.

Of course, I could be WAY off the mark too.

Yeah, I read she was a little slow, mentally, and she definitely could've been held back which would mean she would be a little older than most are in jr high. But 20 years old? I really doubt that...LOL. Whoever wrote the article must've been incorrect.

Rodney Rose, tattoo artist at 252 Tattoo, has tattooed fellow artist Stephen Munhollon with a portrait of Charles Ramsey. The tat would normally cost $700, but Rose did it for free.

He?s still in the midst of his 15 minutes of fame, but Charles Ramsey is forever immortalized on one Cleveland man?s leg.

Rodney Rose offered to tattoo for free the face of Ramsey, the straight-talking city hero who last week busted Amanda Berry out from 10 years? enslavement in a west side home.

?Throughout this whole crazy week we?ve had in Cleveland, he?s kind of been the face and voice of the city,? Rose, a tattoo artist at 252 Tattoo, said of Ramsey. ?He did a great job of representing the city, saying he didn?t want the reward money, to give it to the women, and he also brought humor to a dark situation. He?s an average guy who stepped up to the plate when he needed to, and you gotta respect that.?

Rose found someone willing in fellow artist Stephen Munhollon, who now has Ramsey?s face inked on the back of his right calf, where it is nestled between two other tattoos.

Munhollon, who has more than 50 tattoos, said he has only one other person?s face inked on his body: Chuck Norris?. But it?s his Ramsey tattoo that?s garnering more attention. Munhollon said that while he was walking out of a gas station, a group of Cleveland police officers stopped him so they could take pictures of the tat.

?It?s a little sore, but it looks fantastic,? Munhollon told the Daily News.

Offering the portrait was a no-brainer for Rose, who wanted to capture the unwitting hero?s expressive features in a permanent form. The ink session took five hours. If he had charged for the image, Rodney said, it would have cost $700.

?(Stephen) said it best when he said, ?If you said do I want a tattoo of Charles Ramsey on my leg, I would have said no,?? Rose recalled. ?But if you said was I willing to get Charles Ramsey tattooed on my leg, then the answer is yes.?

Stephen Munhollon said that he didn?t necessarily want the tattoo but was willing to get it done. ?It?s a little sore, but it looks fantastic,? he said.

The story of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, the three women kept as sex slaves for a decade in a west Cleveland home, hit especially close to home for Rose, who grew up nearby.

?Where my band used to practice was right around the corner,? he said. ?You could have thrown a rock over there.?

Rose is so well-renowned as a tattooist that he?s been sought out by a family member of Ashley Summers? for a tattooed portrait of the still-missing Cleveland girl. Police are investigating whether Summers? disappearance in July 2007 is any way linked to Ariel Castro and the other girls he abducted.

?I?ve felt kind of connected to them somehow,? Rose said of the missing girls, whose faces were plastered on missing posters around the city.

As for Ramsey himself, Rose said he hasn?t been in touch with the hero. Ramsey has had a busy media schedule with his newfound fame, but the men have friends in common and will probably ultimately cross paths.

?I?m sure I?ll run into him,? he said. ?Everybody knows everybody.?

Photographs give a glimpse of Ariel Castro's yard

    Bicycles. Barbed wire. A chain.

Those are of just some of the items found in kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro's Cleveland yard, according to photographs taken over the weekend by a neighbor and obtained by CNN.

The neighbor asked not to be identified and said that he took the photographs because he wants people to know what's there.

The photographs also show a small mirror hung on Castro's back door. Its position would allow someone to stand there and see someone coming up the driveway.
