Yeah same here, i read her twitter and it was full of anti-abortion propaganda and romney posters all tied up with that miss america smile head tilt pose. Her opinion is irrelevant but she somehow has some sort of VIP status where people keep giving her platforms to talk.
There are some trial watchers who have insider information who i really respect (KatieCoollady) but thats because they don't inject themselves and theirfeelings in to everything to seem relevant. Katiecoollady always respects the family's privacy and puts their needs first and has done a lot to raise money for them.

Arias told FOX 10 she has no mitigating factors

Troy: "A quote from your trial that's played over and over is Kirk Nurmi saying even he doesn't like you, what do you think when he said that?"

Nurmi: "It's not even about whether or not you like Jodi Arias. 9 days out of 10 I don't like Jodi Arias."

Troy: "You even smiled in it in court."

Jodi: "Um I thought of Elizabeth Johnson's trial and the attorney told them it was important, he told them it's not about whether you like her, just the facts of the case... I believe its standard somewhat. The jurors don't have to like the defendant."

Troy: "Why don't you get along?"

Jodi: "We did for a long time, we just have had clashes in ideas and ultimately he's the boss."

Troy: "Are you happy with your defense?"

Jodi: "I am grateful for my defense."

    Troy: "That's not happy though."

Jodi: "Um not 100 percent but they've worked very hard."

Troy: "You have mitigation hearing coming up at penalty phase. You know what your mitigating factors are going to be and how you are going to play that?"

Jodi: "Well I've been told I don't have any mitigating factors."

    Troy: "By who?"

    Jodi: "My attorney."

Tory: "So Kirk Nurmi said there are no mitigating factors for you in terms of arguing against the death penalty?"

Jodi: "Um nothing that is what you typically see in a case like this, such as a childhood where there was drugs, alcoholism, molestation, none of those things occurred in my family so I guess we would sort of joke that my mom didn't beat me hard enough, so I don't have mitigation."

Troy: "So what are you going to do?"

Jodi: "They feel that I would be a suitable candidate to behave myself in a correctional facility and just not be a problem. That may be their angle, I don't know."

That is 100% on her. She is just enraged that all her efforts to snag her prey didn't work. And so he had to pay the price for that.

And I think now she relishes the fact that no one knows exactly what happened in that bathroom that day. The descriptions made in court probably come close, but only she knows exactly how it went down. And I also think she loves the fact that she had so much power over Travis sexually. She makes the comment in the original 48 Hours episode that no one except she and Travis know what went on behind closed doors. I think this makes her feel like she possesses him in some way. And the fact that she killed him enhances that feeling of possession. And the fact that all these people want to know exactly how she killed him just enhances the feelings of control and ownership that she has.

I think the small grin she made as she walked away at the very end of the interview after her verdict reveals it all - its the duper's delight smile.
Yes i think you are spot on. She is someone that always has to have the last word, the upper hand. When in trial it was said that Jodi is someone who always corrects peoples grammar - i thought that was pretty revealing. I know people like that and they are people who are controlling in some way. I think she is very used to men being somewhat powerless to her. Sometimes power control can be really subtle. For jodi she was aware of her sexual appeal and this was her tool. Especially in her relationship with Travis. She was willing to do things sexually that he wouldn't easily find elsewhere and she this kept him on some sort of leash. But it probably frustrated her that no matter how much she complied to his fantasies or spiced things up in the bedroom he was never fully under her control. He had so many friends that he wasn't dependant on Jodi to fulfill him in the same way i think she was with him.

Pat of the same interview he did with her after verdict. They have 45 minutes of tape and are releasing it in dribs and drabs.

She doesn't even understand that mitigating factors include not only what you may have suffered in your life, they include what you have accomplished, the positive impact you have had on others, the good deeds you have done, how you have given back to others, to your community and society. Then again, JA has spent her entire life playing the victim so perhaps she's right...there are no mitigating factors.

Oh, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Nurmi told her that little diddy. That's probably why people reportedly heard loud words between them. I can hear Jodi in her best Veruka Salt impression "THEN GET ME SOME MITIGATING FACTORS! I WANT THEM NOOOOWWWWW!"

She already knew she didn't have much to work with. Between Willmott and Nurmi, I have no doubt they didn't have her prepared along with the mitigation spec.

I respectfully disagree. She's lying. She threw out without missing a beat about felony law then is suddenly stone ignorant on mitigation.. nah. She understood all along, she practically was tonguing the mit spec for months now.

Thanks Sneakers! I asked awhile back (being serious not hateful) what could possibly work for her and listed the mitigation factors cause I honestly couldn't see any that fit for her. They must have found something. Even for JA, she's had a life for 30 yrs. There was that art teacher, her high IQ they could throw out for helping other inmates, getting her GED... or she could just waive mitigation since she said she wants to die : )

    Arias told FOX 10 she has no mitigating factors;

Nurmi: "It's not even about whether or not you like Jodi Arias. 9 days out of 10 I don't like Jodi Arias."

That moment, when she was laughing a nurmi's comment made me think about all the "celebrity roasts" that comedy central puts on.................. stabby had that look, like she was a celebrity getting roasted, except that she was the only one laughing! it's so bizarre! she's like an alien from a different planet that we get to observe while she's confined......................... what we have here is our very own "AREA 51"

In that interview with fox jodi was looking for sympathy from somebody .... Anybody who might possibly give some. She used her sweetest (12 year old little girl) voice just like in the sex tape. The same voice she has used with any male that would listen all of her life

Scary stuff, easy to see why he reached the end on May 26 w the "sociopath".

I wouldn't be surprised if she holds out again Wed. Every day she does, it gives one more day Travis and all his friends end up in the spotlight. This last stunt she pulled we got 20/20 and Dateline bringing on his friends.

never know, I might be wrong and apologize to jingles if I am. Maybe it wasn't "practically" and the mit spec was too tongue tied to explain it to her

People don't agree with Katie's politics, so they hate on her.

Because liberals support any and all free speech, unless it's something they don't like. Then it's fair game to destroy someone and make fun of their appearance and so forth.

And I suspect there's a good deal of jealousy. Not only is Katie a 'right-wing nut', she's in all the action. Clearly, she does not deserve to be there simply because of her politics. And clearly, her politics mean she is out for herself, and that she does not give a shit about Travis or his family. Because I mean, hello, conservatives are evil.

Yes. I too nearly pee'd my pants at "tonguing the mit specialist".
Read that one as I was standing in the middle of the mall today. I must have clearly looked like a lunatic, I was laughing so hard. Thankfully, there was a restroom nearby... For if there wasn't, I would have surely had an accident. :)

I think out digital word over uses 'hate' sometimes. Why does not liking someone have to be more than just that? Not everything is hate when it is a criticsim or dislike ... especially for TV faces. I don't 'hate' her. I can't stand her "TV presentation" but that is dislike not hate. Easily solved, I turn it off when she comes on. But who doesn't like / dislike at least one TV yapping face and talk about it whether it be this case or not.

If that's where she wants to be that is her choice. But with that thre reality is, it comes w scrutiny, preceptions, judgments and comments. That is part of the choice for anyone putting themselves into the limelight. She isn't exactly mother teresa selflessly sacrificing. Or the anonymous largest donor Micheal that started the whole donation thing in the first place and he didn't break his neck to get to a camera to wave his own flag. She wants the spotlight, she wants to get something out of it for herself. I have no problem with that either, but lets not pretend she isn't out for some personal glory / gains.

In the end, my off button still works for her or anyone I don't care for on any airwave.

Read that one as I was standing in the middle of the mall today. I must have clearly looked like a lunatic, I was laughing so hard. Thankfully, there was a restroom nearby... For if there wasn't, I would have surely had an accident. :)
Sorry Jillee, hope everything worked out alright snicker
On a serious note - observations about that... the mit specialist never once got fearful jumpy of killer like Willmott did. Now lets just pretend that Willmott actually believed her own case and didn't stand in court for months knowingly lying her ass off unethically.

Then why did Willmott get so nervous and jumpy every time killer snuck up behind her. It got so bad, that even towards the end, Willmott subconsciously was jerkying around w side glances of dread / fear of killer even when she just tapped her on the arm for attention.

Nah, I just think HLN could have found SOMEONE out there who can articulate a thought without dripping dramatics. Jealous? Fuck ya! I wish I could put together nervous semi-thoughts and spin that into housewife hero-worship. But alas, I am chubby and brown. C'est la vie.

I feel the same way about Jean C. though. One of my favorite lines of report came when the jury was deliberating and I think it was Nancy Grace asked Beth Karas about jurors going and getting some diet coke and apples iirc.

NG~ "So blah blah, jurors seen getting a snack and headed back to jury room, blah blah. So to Beth Karas, does this mean anything?"
    BK~ "No"

I want my coverage with a little more reason, a little less glitter.

Wasnt Jodi singing this when she was being interrogated?

This songs lyrics are pretty creepy given the context

"Were you crying when you were stabbing him? How about when you cut his throat, were you crying then?"
"The difference between a Stumbling Block and Stepping Stone is the Character of the individual walking the path"
