I must humbly disagree. You are seeing her top note, not the core of her personality. Psychopaths are extremely charming, you would like her. She isnt impulsive, she plans. Even her voice mail to the fox reporter shows she plans ahead and for more than one eventuality. If this was her diagnosis she would have killed travis in a impulsive heat of passion in April when she began to despise him. I can't understand why the thread can not see how much she hates, absolutely loathes Travis and by extension his siblings. She continues to justify her actions by saying Travis abused her and was a hypocrite. She will be singing that song until the day she dies. The core of her personality is BPD with antisocial characteristics when under stress. And yes, I know you disagree with me...

I read on the Sheriff's site, he only lets them have post cards on incoming mail. : ) What an idea! Saves the county a ton of money, cut staff needed, cut contraband coming in, therefore cut in jail violence etc. He can really be an ass in some ways, but is a real Einstein (haha) when it comes to managing those jails.
Guess the internet screwed it up. Jodi wrote a letter to the head of PPL. Dr. Drew received a copy of the letter by email.

To the ladies in here. Do you find it a bit odd that Jodi remained "friends" with all these old boyfriends? She kept referring to Travis as her good friend after their breakup. And continued to have booty calls with him. Was she having booty calls with Bobby, Matt, & Daryl too? I would guess, yes. She goes on this trip and stops to visit all of them. Not one mention of stopping to see a girlfriend. I do not trust women who don't have girlfriends. She had quite an itinerary for that trip....Matt, Daryl, Travis and Ryan. Hmmmm no plan to stop and see her dear friend Rachel? She is a whack
I have remained friends with most of my former lovers/boyfriends. The one who broke my heart the worst is actually the closest friend of them all at this point. I don't think it is weird for me anyway. I think if you loved someone at one time, why not remember that love and friendship after the spark is gone? I am one of those girls who had way more guy friends than girlfriends, but I think I was catty about other women when I was younger. I see alot of younger me in Jodi and the shitty way I used to think.

Fortunately I grew up and realized two things, I am not a special and unique snowflake, and everything my mother said was right.

I would give anything to have a close female confidant now, all my girlfriends live in Vegas and I never get to see them.

I like that they aren't toting her in this article as a photographer. She was a waitress, not that there's anything wrong with that. (Seinfeld emoticon)

Email sent to PPL by Arias

Dr. Drew On Call was provided exclusively with an e-mail sent by Jodi Arias on Sept. 1, 2008 to a leader at Travis Alexander's employer Pre-Paid Legal.

I am writing this letter in regards to Travis Alexander, whose life was taken last June. He was a good friend of mine. Am also, at present, in custody as I am being charged with his murder.

I am not writing this solely to plead my own innocence. That goes without saying -- as Travis meant the world to me and I would never harm him.

It is my understanding that his memory will be honored and recognized in Las Vegas this September. I would humbly remind those who say any different -- that I am innocent until proven guilty.

It is with a spirit of humility that I would ask that if I am in any way referenced during Travis' memorial at the team breakout, that my implied innocence is taken into account.

    With humble gratitude,

    Jodi Ann Arias
    Yep. Humility. Got it.

Thank you, I'll try watching this because I was NOT impressed by the Dateline special. Again the focus was on Arias, and not much at all about Travis. Oh wait, they did manage to point out he was obsessed with how "sexy" she was and he was leading a double life. Yup, that's about it. I was in full eyeroll mode watching that crap. And by the way, the title? IMO it was a dig at all he attention given to the case by the public. Like we are all SO obsessed with Arias. Bitch, please.

We are all sinners so it is easy for me to seperate his from law. Ive never been one to think any life is more or less valuable than the next. A prostitute's killer or a minister's killer, all the same to me .. if you take a life, you should lose yours is my personal feeling. There are a lot crimes, but taking a life is the one that is permanent, they can't undo to make any amends. I'm not a strong advocate for the DP or against it, but when it is so clear cut, confession, I do believe it is a just penalty.
I disagree about remembering though. For those of us that don't know them, I think one day the family will fade as will a lot of the 'facts' of this case. Give it a decade and people will be saying remember, 'I forget' what or who .. about something in this sad tale. Heck, we already here some of that. Just too much to remember.
At first glance I didn't like Travis and it was just from looking at his pictures. He reminds me so much of my friend Matt, we call him Red Matt because he is a ginger and one of three or four Matts in the circle.

Red Matt is a total playboy, very athletic (he boxes), muscular, handsome, witty and well-spoken. He comes off as arrogant and I also didn't like him at first. But underneath the surface of his womanizing ways I later learned an ex-girlfriend of his was brutally murdered and it pretty much scarred him when it came to women. He had a hard time getting close to them after that, maybe for fear he might lose them in such a horrific way.

Turns out Red Matt is an amazing man with deep thoughts, a strong love for his friends and family and always there for you if you had one too many and need a ride home. His stripper dating, cocky asshole act is pretty good, but doesn't hold up to his friends.

For all the Katie Wick lovers/haters

    http://www.timespublications.com/may13-feature1.asp

Confessions of True Crime Junkies: Jodi Arias trial groupies have murder on the mind.

In addition to being The Valley Times executive editor, Shanna Hogan is a true-crime author who is writing a book on the Jodi Arias case. While reporting the story, she discovered an interesting phenomenon taking place at the courthouse—trial watchers consumed with real life murder mysteries. These are their stories.

Each morning before dawn breaks, Katie Wick waits hours outside the Maricopa County Superior courthouse, standing in line with a few dozen other spectators.

When the doors open at 7:30 a.m., the crowd files inside and navigates through a maze of X-ray machines, metal detectors and security guards.

Taking the elevator to the fifth floor, Wick and the others race toward the four empty rows of chairs at the end of the room, securing a spot inside the courtroom for a chance to witness the Jodi Arias trial.

For the past few weeks, this has been routine for Wick, a 27-year-old Glendale woman, who has rarely missed a day of the proceedings.

“It’s first come, first serve. So when we get off the elevator, people run to get a seat,” says Wick. “It’s getting a lot more chaotic. People are fighting over seats, cutting in line. It’s a circus, so much drama.”

As the trial for the 32-year-old murder defendant accused of slaughtering her ex-boyfriend has developed into an international media sensation, the scene outside the courtroom has become a spectacle in its own right.

Self-described “obsessed,” trial watchers wait in line for hours for one of the 23 coveted seats open to the public, hoping to get a glimpse of the prosecutor they’ve come to love and the defendant they’ve grown to despise.

When court is not in session, the entertainment continues online with followers taking to Twitter, Facebook pages, trial websites and message boards to dissect each gruesome detail.

Those obsessed with this case and other such crimes admit it’s a macabre fascination—the attraction to serial killers, trials, forensics and cold-blooded murder. They call themselves trial watchers, crime addicts, forensic-philes, and true-crime junkies, and for them the Jodi Arias case is just the latest in a string of high-profile murder mysteries to capture their attention.

Yet, for Arizona’s crime junkies, the trial has been a rare opportunity—a media phenomenon occurring right at home—one that has evolved into a ghoulish guilty gratification.

“It’s like a drama,” Wick says. “It’s crazy. I feel it’s so consuming. Even on the weekends I think about it. It’s always in your head.” .........................

Not confused at all. I followed the dialog. I watched Dr. Drew. There is no restriction on outgoing letters from jail. Perhaps you jumped to an incorrect conclusion or you are confused.

Metis, from the age of 5, I lived alone with my depressed, alchoholic, widowed mother. Her verbal abuse became worse and worse over the years. I developed a "talent" for selective amnesia. If I choose to ignore something I find offensive, I can totally block it out. You say Jodi doesn't care what others say about her, I say it never goes through her hippocampus.

Makes me question, how does she email that from jail? They dont have internet access in jail.

She was just found guilty of M1 and she sits there with no emotion. Olga's post sharing the psychopath characteristics is so perfect for Stabby. She sits there talking without any acknowledgement of the seriousness of what she has done. Still prattling on that if it weren't for Travis being a hypocrite, this never would have happened. If Travis was a good Morman, things might be different. That JM was a deceitful prosecutor and denied the evidence to be shown to vindicate her. Blah Blah, again it is everyone else's fault. Per JM....WHO DOES THAT?

fascinating! thanks I've always said I think she is a psychopath. And suspect she's a serial killer that just happened to screw up early. Have they checked her mother's property yet? lol half kidding. I can't remember for sure but think it might have been Ressler (FBI profiler) that knew of some MRI study and then said it turned out his own brain had the features too. Now this is down to fMRI, amazing they might one day actually be able to show a scientific base after all.
But this is fMRI fine tuning it. Amazing to think they may one day get it down to science huh.

I disagree. I don't think she's mentally ill. I think her personality is just wired wrong. I also have no problem that she did the interview. I wish she'd blab her fool head off before the next phase of the trial. Just more to use against her. The only problem I have with the interview was the sucky questions. If you get one shot at an interview, make it count. Troy or whatever the hell his name is, was no Walter Cronkite.

I totally see the hatred towards Travis and his family. It's why she refuses to express remorse for what she did (aside from remorse that she's missing out on things because she was caught). She believes he had it coming. And it's why she will continue to do anything she can to take away from the family any sense of justice--i.e. having her attorneys object to the ribbons they were wearing, or trying to force the victim impact statements be videotaped.

I don't disagree with your entire statement. I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist, so I'll leave the diagnosis to the professionals. I sent you a link to what I believe characterizes her behavior. I agree with the assertion that Jodi loathes Travis, and now, his siblings as an extension. She seethes with anger in the post verdict interview. It's pretty scary.
