No info on Dr Drew, but the Alexanders were escorted to their cars by deputies...Arias' were not.

He said that the judge is now taking every precaution to have whatever is going on w her, evaluated. If she continued and Stabby was not in the frame if mind to withstand the hearing, the defense could try to force a new trial. Although he said he didn't think they would be successful, but they could try.

And the judge at this stage, would not allow them to remove themselves or her to fire them. So, probably a psych evaluation is taking place to determine if she is sane and not psychotic - breaking from reality. He explained it very well.

By the way, I've been reading this forum for a couple of months but never bothered to register..... till I saw on the news that the court was canceled today! Even though she was convicted of 1st degree murder as of yesterday, something told me that she was going to pull some crazy move as long as she could.

My question is, WHAT HAPPENS if she "fakes" and is found incompetent??????
Well, she was given tests by experts before the trial. She was always there and ready to assist. It is just NOW that she gave that interview, that she may be evaluated. I don't think you can fake a break from reality. BUt, then again, she is Jodi Arias!

We now enter the Irritation Phase of this trial.

Today's delay and the weekend before the death sentence is given.

Actually in the winter we always got our "regulars" at the jail. They were several homeless guys that liked thier freedoms in the summer and a warm bed and three square meals in the winter so they would commit petty crimes to get a couple of months in jail.

Yuck, that letter to Ryan Burns, skank PLEASE! It still all comes down to being about her, even when she is trying to talk about him. Good heavens. She just keeps acting like she is the victim and "poor me having to be in this terrible situation and having to be in jail...poor, poor me." I wonder how many of the witnesses she tried to manipulate prior to their testimonies. Sure didn’t work on Ryan Burns!

Was she moved to the psych ward last night as a precaution when someone gets murder 1, or because they believed she would harm herself after what she said in the interview?

What bothers me, still, is HOW she was allowed to talk to the press. No matter what, she should have been escorted out of that courtroom and press should have been kept far away. There is no way that should have happened. How the prison allowed this is beyond me.

Probably because of what she said to the press, but it's not an uncommon thing at all to put newly convicted souls on suicide watch.

That's true. Jodi is Jodi. Her interview from yesterday made me laugh- that a society feels the need to persecute someone? HAHAHAHA. Isn't that usually because 1) they deserve it 2) that specified someone has certain importance to the society whether it be positive or negative.... DELUSIONS!

But the Arias family was escorted by tv cameras, FOX10 Phoenix being one of them no doubt.

I'm waaay beyond Irritated and Aggravated and moving into Very Fucking Angry territory.

Sheriff Joe and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office didn't have to let tv cameras in to see her yesterday. If this thing gets derailed at this pint I'm going lay most of the blame at his feet.

Right! Plus in March 2009 she was still trying to make her Ninja story fly!

They jail guard told Jean VM that no one could stop her. She was allowed to do what she wanted. She told him that she had made a promise to the tv reporter to give an interview if she was found was found guilty of murder1. Apparently there was a huge argument between her and the defense team before the interview. So, who knows..they may have tried to stop her and she had to have her own way.

If Jodi decides to just accept the DP, which HLN attorneys are saying she has a right to do, would the family be able to give their impact statements?

I wouldn't put it past her to do that just to rob them of that chance!!!!!!!!!!!

You have a link to that letter?
"Were you crying when you were stabbing him? How about when you cut his throat, were you crying then?"
"The difference between a Stumbling Block and Stepping Stone is the Character of the individual walking the path"

I wonder why they allowed her to do the interview. Someone today told Jean VM that they could not stop her. Seems to me being convicted of murder 1, they could have stopped her. Maybe this is a way to try to force error and get a new trial.

Her "defense counsel" should have stopped her from going on camera and doing an interview with the media. I understand that she calls the shots but they should have put their foot down. Unless this was a ploy, and I wouldn't put it past them.

Has Jodi's letter to Ryan Burns been made public? I searched for it last night after watching Ryan on Greta Van Susteren and could not find the letter posted anywhere. Sorry if this is old news but I'm new to this forum and you all know so much!

Great. Stabby gets to stay in the psych hospital until they deem she is no longer a threat. At what point do you decide that the woman is just lying to save herself? You can't of course. My cousin's murderer has never been sentenced. Every time it's scheduled, he stops taking his HIV meds so that he's too sick to show up in court. 10 years, nearly 11 years now.

Precisely why they may want a psychiatrist to evaluate her. I would not have put it past her to have researched a way to throw a trial after a verdict. If the judge makes any kind of error now, the defense can try to get a new one. But my friend, who is a defense attorney, told me it would be difficult. Why they probably stopped the hearing today. The judge does not want to make any errors.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is as big of a media whore as she is, maybe bigger. He's milking this as much as she is.

If this trial gets derailed I hope Maricopa County sues his ass.
