I think all of that changed when she said she wants the death penalty. We all see it as off the wall, but apparently she thinks it is normal. NO one wants to die!

It sounds to me based upon her suicidal statements made during the interview, she was placed on suicide watch. During suicide watch, most likely she was briefly evaluated by a health or mental health professional. Based upon that brief evaluation or other statements she made, she was transfered to a psychiatric unit off grounds. Most likely she is "more" suicidal than she has been in the past By that I mean, she passed beyond just thinking about it all the time to a more serious threat. Because she was hospitalized doesn't automatically mean she is incompetent. Competency evaluations are easy to do and dont require hospitalization.

Since she is an adjudicated felon, she has the right to MH care and treatment. Suicidal watch is not treatment its just a closer form of surveillance.

The fact that she feels suicidal in a more intense way doesn't mean that she is manipulating. It also doesn't mean she is not. irregardless of whether she is manipulating or isn't still means she should get treatment to ameliorate her suicidality. You guys want a mistral cause they dragged her into court while she was actively suicidal? The psychiatric treatment trumps court...we never allowed ppl to be arrested or taken from an inpatient unit, never. We released the patient/prisoner once treatment is done.

I am telling you this because I worked in forensic psychiatry for years. There are laws that cover what most be done when a person is suicidal, and you all know what I would tell you....

She can make all the allegations she wants in interviews. There have been no complaints filed against Juan since the last mistrial motion a few weeks ago. She is still doing her blame everyone else, nothing is her fault bullcrap.

I did ask an attorney here who predicted she would get Murder 1 on premeditation due to circumstances, he told me there is no way her case would be overturned on appeal by making accusations of prosecutorial misconduct. Yelling at witnesses is not a valid reason. And, I think ..lord forgive me for quoting Nancy Grace, but she said the court room is not as loud inside the room as it comes across on TV. There. I am relying on her.

That "better" might be debatable? Why else do they consistently avoid police contact &/or resist arrest. Shouldn't there be queues of homeless outside police stations begging to confess to crimes?
