Today was only supposed to be a hearing on Cruelty. They could have had her evaluated after jury deliberated. She had no role today other than to sit there and STFU. What bullshit.

Now the thinking is, per Beth, that it might not be the psych eval thing, seeing as that the DT would have notified the judge long before this afternoon, avoiding inconveiencing all parties involved, including the jail having to transport her.

It may be the case that the DT has asked to be relieved of their duties, or JA has "dismissed:" them. Oh boy.

The Judge may have ordered a psych/competency evaluation. I don't think the Judge will allow Nurmi or Willmott to pull a disappearing act now.

The defense could have asked for a gag order in order to shut her the fuck up and they didn't.

This can't really be that much of a surprise! My bet is that snaggle-toothed ninny either got exactly what she wanted from that interview last night - which would be a competency hearing before this next phase - or (another thing she wanted to manipulate), she finally drove the DT to ... well ... the DTs, they threw up their hands & basically said, "No, we don't care, we're outta here" (that would be, I'm sure, the technical legalese!), so poor arias needs a new team. I don't even know if this is a possible scenario .. I think I'm just making things up.

Anyway, I believe she got what she wanted: More attention, dragging everything out, possibly a problem with her team and now, again, everything's about Jodi AND it's not her fault!!! Dr. Drew is going to have a field day with this one.

Maybe it has to do with what she said in the interview? She did say Juan Martinez withheld evidence (although I figured she meant that he managed to prevent it from entering into the trial, not that he hid it), or perhaps there are accusations of jury tampering, or even accusations against the jury itself.

I am still disappointed that there is no camera shot of the prosecutor's face when the verdict was read. I am sure his expression was inscrutable but it would have been nice to see

IQ test, yes, but I don't think she was evaluated for competncy to stand trail by Dr. D. That would be at the request of the court/judge or DT.
