Having thought about things overnight, it looks very much like this jury took the easy way out.
It’s like this. As we all know, most of the jurors (in Casey’s trial) ultimately ended up having to relocate after they and their families received way too many death threats, following their Not Guilty verdict for Casey. The only difference with this trial is that these jurors won’t need to do that.
Basically, their knowledge of the Casey jurors experiences weighed heavily on their minds while they deliberated their verdict. So with the options of “TV interviews, book deals & celebrity status” versus “death threats & relocation”, like I say, they took the easy way out.

I would bet the farm that if she does get death, there will be appeal after appeal after appeal. she doesn't wanna be dead. she wants to socialize in prison. death row won't give her that. she is a lying, egotistical, hypocritical bitch. and revolting, disgusting and hideous. soulless, and evil.

The words about death are stupid because of so many years in solitary awaiting the penalty. She likely thinks that we don't see through that. I, like most of us, know she'd rather have a life sentence to remain in the general prison population so she can gain popularity like she has in jail. She'll see a whole different type of people in prison than in jail. Most will be more hardcore, and some won't want to be dislodged from their ranking order that's been established.

Very sad. Was sad I couldn?t get here this afternoon to wait with you all, I imagine there were a lot of us that couldn?t.

Thought I would share with you all a very odd thought that was presented to me today. Very out of left field idea, and I am not entirely sure what to make of it. But if it is true, it may very well have an impact on sentencing options.

A friend was saying to me that she was surprised that Jodi didn?t just try to trap Travis the old fashioned way. They were having ?vanilla sex? ? and if he wouldn?t buy KY you know he wouldn?t buy condoms, so why didn?t she get pregnant? THEN she said she thinks that Jodi may have Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, and perhaps may not even have a uterus. She said AIS would explain the oddness of Jodi?s genitalia, even why she might actually prefer anal sex to vaginal sex. Rather than me explaining it, I recommend googling, and click the Genetics Home Reference link to get a better understanding of it.

But the short of it, the pertinent as to sentencing part of it might be that, if she DOES have AIS, she?s actually genetically male.

Can they put her in a women?s prison if she is genetically male? Can they put her in a men?s prison if she is physically female?

Noooo, I think she is up to her tricks, thinking she can outsmart everyone again. Reverse psychology, thinking they won't give her what she wants. She knows that the DP would not be carried out for at least 20 years and that meanwhile she would be in solitary confinement with zero privileges. LWOP means she would retain her magazines, visitations, etc. The DP would be way worse for her, and she knows it.

Totally agree, she does not want to go to Death Row. She is trying to play the public, and I hope it backfires.

I was listening to the "talking heads" last night and quite a few of them were saying that the DT are going to have to go with a mental disorder (BPD) to try and get her a diminshed sentence....how in the world can they do that if all along they have been arguing AGAINST her having a mental disorder (other then the non-existent PTSD).....I think these "talking heads" should be called "talking asses"

I think she really was convinced that she would either get a hung jury or walk away free with an acquittal.

If anybody is buying what she said yesterday about wanting the DP then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. She wants attention, good, bad or indifferent, but she wants it.

I had to laugh when she said in that interview that Juan Martinez was wrong about her wanting to be "star"! What was the first thing she did after she was convicted of First Degree Premeditated Felony Murder? Throw herself in front of a tv camera.

She's a narcissistic psychopath and I hope at this point she does get the DP because it's obvious she has no remorse.

They're saying that Juan said, the felony was the stealing of Travis' gun! Not true! He explained, in closing, that this is how you could get to felony murder, IF you happened to believe Jodi's version of events! He was very clear, that the felony he was putting forward in this case, was that the moment Jodi began stabbing Travis, she unlawfully remained in his residence! Get it right Fox!

I'm SO glad the jury came back with the M1 verdict.

I'm not going to lie, I had some worries (OJ, Anthony...), but the more I thought about the very intelligent questions that they asked during the trial, the less worried I became. There were plenty of reasons for them to take their time deliberating when you really think about it, so I had faith that the group that came up with those questions could also come up with the appropriate verdict.

Now all I can hope for is that they can follow through and give her the Death Penalty like she deserves. I mean, even if they may have thought that they would be able to decide to end the life of a other person before the trial started, having to actually do it when the time comes has to a completely different ballgame. Life changing. Not easy. I hope they are honestly prepared a s's they thought they would be. As awful as it feels inside to wish death on another human being (and I use that term loosely), I know that I do! I can say that in my heart I feel sure that she deserves nothing less than a good decade or so in as solitary a situation possible, followed by death. She has yet to show ONE SHRED of remorse for the terrible things she has done to Travis, his family, and his friends. Not one. The only person she feels sorry for, has EVER felt sorry for, is her self. If she had, maybe I would feel differently... but not once, not even fake, nothing. So how can you have any pity for her, like she is hoping for?

I say that because I don't for one friggin' minute believe she wants the DP... no how, no way. If she wanted to be dead she would be... just like she wanted Travis dead, he is. This her last stab at manipulation. Reverse psychology 101. Hopefully this jury can see thru this like they have through all her other attempts to sway them and give her what she fears most, herself. She can be her only company for a long, long time. No jail friends, no perks, nothing.

I wish I could believe that she would think about the horrible things she has done... that she'd have some kind of revelation about it... see the error of her ways... feel ANY kind of remorse, but I don't think she ever will. She simply doesn't have that human part in her. Until the day she dies this will be everyone's fault but her own.

Hopefully the rest of the trial will be quick for the Alexanders and they can get back to some semblance of normalcy in their lives. After the last 5 years, they sure deserve it.

I am trying my best to catch up, but didn't read much on the site after the verdict was read. I'm still on last nights posts from 1030pm ish...so please bear with me.

What a relief that the jury made the RIGHT choice! I am so relieved for The Alexander Family, friends, and supporters. It was amazing watching justice served.

When I told my hubby that a verdict was read, I was met with a Thank GOD! He's super sick of listening to me. So grateful I have all of you here to discuss/read opinions/etc. He was home when verdict was read and I was literally bouncing off the walls....sitting on the couch, sitting on the floor, jumping up to stand, sitting back down, bouncing legs. I was SO nervous. I know the CA verdict left a bad taste for most of us. When the verdict was read, I literally jumped up and yelled, "YES!!!!!!!! F.U. bitch!" Hubby wasn't impressed with the outburst...he was put in, yet another, time out haha.

This morning, I finished watching JAs farce of an interview. Is it possible that I am even more disgusted by her than I already was?? I didn't think it could be achieved. Her line about not making eye contact with The Alexanders because they look like Travis and remind her of the man that abused her literally made me sick. Devious bitch. She needs to just STFU already. How dare she even go there. Her interview was just repulsive. It really showed us her true BPD, didn't it?! She has NO remorse for what she did to Travis and his friends/family. She only regrets what has happened to her and her minions. She has no true feelings or emotions. She's just rotten to the core. HATE!

Anyway they wanted to view it, Arias perpetrated a felony during the killing of Travis Alexnder. Whichever they chose, they both met the test.
