Snipped for length. I asked about the verdict because I was concerned whether an appeal could be based on it. And also because I was curious about what could have happened. I like to know as much as I can.

Aw I'm happy to hear that Aggie, I was concerned you'd been 'called up' in one way or another. That's where my concern began and ended, apologies if you thought otherwise. :) I'm as curious as the next man/woman to see where we go next, but everything will lay on her sentence for sure.

I found the Fox interview incredibly bizarre. Out of sync with someone just found guilty of Murder 1. Where the hell were her defence team then, as this could potentially be used against her in the aggravation phase? I can't quite understand why it was actually allowed, from all sides. Where she's allowed to opine that it wasn't pre-meditated? If I had to guess, I'd say her DT team have given up with her altogether. Unbelievable.

Annie, it's 4am here and I STILL cannot sleep! I take comfort that Jim watched the verdict with me (I'm usually in another room on my own). Downside; said he's glad it's over and I'd stop going on about the 'wee guy'. I was caught, literally in the act, of saying VERY nice things about the wee Guy a few months back. Little did he know 'till I enlightened him, that it's not over 'till it's over!

Maybe I'm making too big a deal about it, but the symbolism of slapping those cuffs on her in the courtroom--no more bullcrap about prejudicing the accused, blah, blah--just effen 'CLICK' you're done--says it all.

Well it has been an emotionally draining day. It is unbelievable she was able to give an interview to a Fox affiliate.I find her a frightening inhuman being that one cannot comprehend but continue to gawk at hoping that understanding of what makes her tick will come. But it never will. She is so hateful and unremorseful.

In a nutshell Bella! No remorse, ever. No apology to the family. Just that she hopes they find peace (now that she's convicted??). She's taking the piss, another reason I hate that Fox gave her the chance of that interview. May it come back to haunt her. I think it will!

And why does she think anyone should care what SHE wants for a punishment. Hopefully the jury will give her the opposite of what she wants.

Noooo, I think she is up to her tricks, thinking she can outsmart everyone again. Reverse psychology, thinking they won't give her what she wants. She knows that the DP would not be carried out for at least 20 years and that meanwhile she would be in solitary confinement with zero privileges. LWOP means she would retain her magazines, visitations, etc. The DP would be way worse for her, and she knows it.

I would respectfully point out that the case is not actually over at all. There are still two more phases to the trial, the Aggravation Phase, and then the Mitigation Phase. During those phases, the penalty for Jodi Arias will be determined.

There are probably at least a couple weeks left of active, daily testimony, complete with more jury deliberations.

No shit! This is hardly over. It may be over for some but not people interested in the trial for various, possibly even genuine, reasons.

Thought I would share with you all a very odd thought that was presented to me today. Very out of left field idea, and I am not entirely sure what to make of it. But if it is true, it may very well have an impact on sentencing options.

A friend was saying to me that she was surprised that Jodi didn’t just try to trap Travis the old fashioned way. They were having ‘vanilla sex’ – and if he wouldn’t buy KY you know he wouldn’t buy condoms, so why didn’t she get pregnant? THEN she said she thinks that Jodi may have Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, and perhaps may not even have a uterus. She said AIS would explain the oddness of Jodi’s genitalia, even why she might actually prefer anal sex to vaginal sex. Rather than me explaining it, I recommend googling, and click the Genetics Home Reference link to get a better understanding of it.

But the short of it, the pertinent as to sentencing part of it might be that, if she DOES have AIS, she’s actually genetically male.

Can they put her in a women’s prison if she is genetically male? Can they put her in a men’s prison if she is physically female?
