Watched that fox 10 interview. I now want her to get lwop because she wants to get death. (because she doesn't want to be there til she's older than her granny). Hope she gets lwop.

Aw I'm happy to hear that Aggie, I was concerned you'd been 'called up' in one way or another. That's where my concern began and ended, apologies if you thought otherwise. :) I'm as curious as the next man/woman to see where we go next, but everything will lay on her sentence for sure.

I found the Fox interview incredibly bizarre. Out of sync with someone just found guilty of Murder 1. Where the hell were her defence team then, as this could potentially be used against her in the aggravation phase? I can't quite understand why it was actually allowed, from all sides. Where she's allowed to opine that it wasn't pre-meditated? If I had to guess, I'd say her DT team have given up with her altogether. Unbelievable.

But, yes, I saw that little gem of info, too. I'm sure that endeared her to the jurors!
Annie, it's 4am here and I STILL cannot sleep! I take comfort that Jim watched the verdict with me (I'm usually in another room on my own). Downside; said he's glad it's over and I'd stop going on about the 'wee guy'. I was caught, literally in the act, of saying VERY nice things about the wee Guy a few months back. Little did he know 'till I enlightened him, that it's not over 'till it's over!

Indeed it does. But no, they let her interview with Fox. Crass beyond belief, while Martinez will be dancing on her proverbial grave. Ugh!

In a nutshell Bella! No remorse, ever. No apology to the family. Just that she hopes they find peace (now that she's convicted??). She's taking the piss, another reason I hate that Fox gave her the chance of that interview. May it come back to haunt her. I think it will!

I agree they were totally playing the sympathy card but to be fair sometimes people (older or ill) need a chair one day and not the next. I know my nana needs one but she's too damn stubborn to use it except for one time we made her lol

She doesnt want to die, she WANTS LWOP

If she wanted to die, she would have begged for it since the beginning and told the truth of what she did

I think she needs to get the DP and sit there for as many years as it takes, then about 30 min. before she gets the needle...........her sentence is commuted to LWOP! that should REALLY rock her world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noooo, I think she is up to her tricks, thinking she can outsmart everyone again. Reverse psychology, thinking they won't give her what she wants. She knows that the DP would not be carried out for at least 20 years and that meanwhile she would be in solitary confinement with zero privileges. LWOP means she would retain her magazines, visitations, etc. The DP would be way worse for her, and she knows it.

She doesn't really want LWOP she is just saying that like when she told Travis that she is going to commit suicide but never went through with it

(i.e., the Death Penalty). The most important role of an attorney in a First-Degree Murder case is to attempt to get the prosecutor to take the Death Penalty off of the table. The Death Penalty is the most severe punishment known to man, and takes an extreme toll on the defendant and their family. Skilled negotiators are important to convince the prosecution that Death Penalty is not warranted in this case, nor is it a possible result in this case, to ensure that the judge and jury do not even have the option of imposing the death penalty.

I agree with you. What bigger punishment for her to spend the next years waiting to die, isolated, with limited contact with the exterior?

Watched Greta a bit ago. She seemed to have been briefed on the case about three minutes before the show started.

Anyway, goodnight. I'll just leave this right here.

I agree....she won't go down without believing she pulled the wool over SOMEONE'S eyes, gosh darn it! She probably thinks it all would have turned out differently, if SHE had been in charge of her defense! Today, she defied her lawyers, I'm sure...preferring to be the media darling and do it her way. She knows how to beat this rap, because she is smart like Einstein. And it's about time the world sees her craftiness!! I hope she crafts her way over to death row, soon!!

I believe there is some reverse psychology going on there IMO, the fact that she wants the death penalty makes the public outcry for her to get LWOP so she suffers but WTF do I know. No one knows what is going on in that twisted head of hers. She has to be one of the most manipulative persons that I have ever seen.

No shit! This is hardly over. It may be over for some but not people interested in the trial for various, possibly even genuine, reasons.

I wonder what will be her comments about Jodi's interview after being convicted! I hope she writes something about it.

I don't believe for a MINUTE that she would rather have the death penalty. This is just more Jodi manipulative bullshit.

If she preferred the death penalty, why does her plea offer specifically state that she does not believe that a death sentence was likely?

She's bluffing. She thinks the jury will give her life if she asks for death...

Very sad. Was sad I couldn’t get here this afternoon to wait with you all, I imagine there were a lot of us that couldn’t.

Thought I would share with you all a very odd thought that was presented to me today. Very out of left field idea, and I am not entirely sure what to make of it. But if it is true, it may very well have an impact on sentencing options.

A friend was saying to me that she was surprised that Jodi didn’t just try to trap Travis the old fashioned way. They were having ‘vanilla sex’ – and if he wouldn’t buy KY you know he wouldn’t buy condoms, so why didn’t she get pregnant? THEN she said she thinks that Jodi may have Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, and perhaps may not even have a uterus. She said AIS would explain the oddness of Jodi’s genitalia, even why she might actually prefer anal sex to vaginal sex. Rather than me explaining it, I recommend googling, and click the Genetics Home Reference link to get a better understanding of it.

But the short of it, the pertinent as to sentencing part of it might be that, if she DOES have AIS, she’s actually genetically male.

Can they put her in a women’s prison if she is genetically male? Can they put her in a men’s prison if she is physically female?
