I think that Jodi stating she'd prefer death is just a way to take the wind out of the sails of the jury and the family. She knows that the DP is very likely to be given to her. She wants to make it all about how she controlled them. In her mind, she wins either way.

I have to say, after seeing the interview that she did after conviction today, I'm no longer on the fence about the death penalty for her.
I used to feel that the DP was the easy way out, since its a needle and they go to sleep. But now that I know what goes into LWOP (lots of amentities and a social life) and death row (12-15 years of no social life, barely seeing the light of day), I am definitely death penalty all the way for her.

I have predicted LWOP for her ever since the defense case started. Now I'm not sure and leaning toward DP. Looking forward to seeing how this next phase plays out.

Justice was done. This case is relationship education.When someone shows you themselves believe them. Notice and count the red flags. Don't ignore the signs. Trust your intuition . Do not continue a relationship with someone you know and have acknowledged as mentally off, void of empathy , a sociopath as Travis stated before his death. Your engagement with such a person just to fulfill fleeting sexual pleasure could cost you your life. Travis would more than likely still be alive today, had he taken Jodi's abnormal behaviors more seriously and not succumbed to primal desire.

When I drove past the Jail where Jodi is being held, there are a LOT of media vans!!! Looks like she will be doing a whole lot more interviews than just with FOX. What a media whore!!! Talk it up Jodi, I'm sure Juan will love showing it to the Jury so they can see your continued lies, deception, attention whoring, and lack of remorse.

I loved when she talked about how JM withheld evidence! Really, Jodi??! She will be wheeled down to execution, complaining that the needle is the wrong gauge....that the executioner has it wrong. She is beyond disgusting. What a manipulator!!

The morning started off quite calmly. Got there early enough, (9:30 a.m.) to get the eighth place chair in the event that a verdict came in and members of the public might be admitted to the proceedings. A very nice gentleman, connected to Legal Shield was in spot seven. He gave it up for me, so I got promoted. It looked like a lock and I anticipated having lots of first-hand, (but rushed) impressions to convey to you guys. It was a dull morning 'till approximately 11:30 a.m. when the shock came. A Verdict! Don't know where the announcement came from, we just suddenly knew. A couple of minutes later, we got the news that the verdict would be read at 1:30 p.m. About a half hour later, additional news came. There was no room for members of the public in the courtroom. Only family and Press could be accommodated....

...We, (the fifth-floor evictees) trooped outside into the crowd that had gathered and just blended in. Crowd was fairly tightly packed at the bottom of the stairs and at the sides and chanted "Justice for Travis" two or three times. Somehow the verdict was announced and the shouts of "Murder 1" "Premeditated Murder" "Guilty" went back and forth. A couple of thank Gods were mixed in there. Then the media took over and it was all their game. I tried to learn only one thing. "Did the Sheriff's Deputy immediately step up behind Arias and handcuff her at the moment immediately after the verdict was adjudicated by the Judge." Couldn't find anyone who knew....

Sadly, it does not appear Jodi was handcuffed immediately after the verdict was read. It appears she got to argue with her attorneys for a few minutes, then she went straight to a 45 minute interview with a local Mesa TV reporter. Bizarre but true. They are playing bits of it now on the station KSAZ Fox 10.

Yeah, I feel like death is an escape, but the solitary confinement is what makes me want the DP for her. I wish there was like a LWOP solitary confinement option. That'd be perfect imo.

He, too, was "brilliant" and loved the limelight. He thought he was smarter than anyone, representing himself in court. He couldn't shut his mouth in public, boasting and bragging, and smiling as though he were doing a photo shoot. And in the final 24 hours of his life, he did an interview and blamed PORN for his deviancy. He started trying to bargain for his life by promising little bits of information to the families of the missing girls. The state, with the families nod, executed him anyway. Robert Ressler (famed FBI profiler) once said that the only killer who scared the life out of him was Ted Bundy. Robert interviewed countless serial killers, trying to get into their minds and understand what they were all about, in order to construct the modern day profile. Granted, Jodi is not a serial killer, but Ressler said that he left the Bundy interview.....never being quite certain of who was in charge of that interview. He felt as though Bundy was able to enter HIS mind, and not the other way around. This is Jodi. She just never had that "switch" flip, to carry out multiple killings. But the personality is all there.

I was thinking she's just an idiot, but the DP would (hopefully) be 15 years of SOLITARY CONFINEMENT. LWOP, she'd make lifelong friends, watch television, play games, might even party and take drugs, etc. Have a job in the kitchen or laundry and her time would go fast, and after a while, she'd get used to it and make the best of it.

I want the Death Penalty so badly for her, not because I want her to die, because I agree it would be a freedom she wouldn't deserve. I want DP for the fact that her time would be solitary and much, much more miserable. If there was an option for Solitary Confinement for Life without Parole, I'd vote for that.

Since she is such a bad person, we should revoke her ability for appeals.

I absolutely agree about the death penalty verdict. I really couldn't give a rats ass if she actually gets put to death eventually. I just want her to suffer on death row, with nobody but the prison guards to talk to, totally isolated, nothing but sitting in her cell, thinking about what she's done, and why she's there. Three showers a week, a few hours outside per week. THAT would be hell for Jodi.

Okay, they just played the first part of the Jodi interview again, and this time I noticed that she said she would prefer the death penalty to LWOP, because she "would hate to spend the rest of her life in one place."

Right.
Because she had such a jet-setting lifestyle before she met Travis...
