I am also very surprised they let her talk to anyone. Then again, this is probably what all the screaming was about, in the hallway, after the verdict. Nurmi and Wilmott were probably advising her to SHUT her fucking trap, for a change. And I can just imagine her going hogwild and hollering that THEY had screwed up her case, and she was gonna do whatever she wanted to do. That is the only way she sat for an interview, after this. And the "fog" is still there. Not a word of "I am so sorry"......it's all about what SHE wants?

Yeah the words exchanged between client & attorneys were quite possibly regarding speaking to the media as you astutely allude to. It's Jodi's way or the highway, as is plainly obvious to all.

The "blank" (AKA fog) when she mentions hearing the verdict cracked me up. Such a cop-out.

I feel she lays blame "on the way murder/felony is written" for the jury reaching that conclusion. Not HER fault!!

I don't care if Jodi ever gets the needle or not, I want more than that is for her to serve on Death Row. That would be hard on her to not have control over people and she would have no one to manipulate. Alone in a small cell, meals handed thru a door slot. Can only go outside 3x a week for a couple hours at a time. If she is in general population she can continue to use her wiles to get what she wants from other inmates. She could compete in Jail Idol, take classes like yoga and foreign languages and do girlie stuff like playing with different ways to create make up, do each other's hair. I want her to be in miserable Death Row.

I am in the boat as you. I just want her to sit alone with no one to manipulate but her attorneys in her appeal. But if she does get life then she will have to get her sexual thrills with hotties like Donavon and that is punishment of some kind at least.

Oh Yea! The Alexander family lawyer came out into the square and announced that his firm has been retained by the Alexanders to commence a wrongful death civil action against Arias. This is where they get their personal revenge: and they deserve it. There was some other contrarian lawyer giving an interview saying it doesn't make sense, "Jodi doesn't have anything." He's missing the point.

Beside for DP, appeals have to be granted. So her new attorneys would have to come up with something that is appeal worthy to be granted by a judge. So she could apply for as many appeals as she wants but that doesn't mean they will be granted.

Jail until the Judge pronounces the sentence. Then tranferred to DOC custody and moved to a prsion, usually that takes anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks.

Jodi says she thinks opinion is "divided" on whether she is lying.

When asked why she thought so many people were against her, she replied that a psychologist once told her that people feel the need to persecute someone because it makes them feel better about themselves, and that explains why so many people are against her.

Also, the reporter asked her "if you get a long sentence, what will you do with the rest of your life" to which Jodi responded that she "had not decided yet".

I loved when she talked about how JM withheld evidence! Really, Jodi??! She will be wheeled down to execution, complaining that the needle is the wrong gauge....that the executor has it wrong. She is beyond disgusting. What a manipulator!!

The morning started off quite calmly. Got there early enough, (9:30 a.m.) to get the eighth place chair in the event that a verdict came in and members of the public might be admitted to the proceedings. A very nice gentleman, connected to Legal Shield was in spot seven. He gave it up for me, so I got promoted. It looked like a lock and I anticipated having lots of first-hand, (but rushed) impressions to convey to you guys. It was a dull morning 'till approximately 11:30 a.m. when the shock came. A Verdict! Don't know where the announcement came from, we just suddenly knew. A couple of minutes later, we got the news that the verdict would be read at 1:30 p.m. About a half hour later, additional news came. There was no room for members of the public in the courtroom. Only family and Press could be accommodated. Nevertheless, we hung onto our places in hopes that that news was just a rumor and some of us would be accommodated in the courtroom. For the next half hour or so, the fifth floor began to gradually fill up. During all of this, there was a jury selection process for the "Kramer" trial going on and all of these people carrying orange cards were mixed in with the increasing numbers of newly arriving spectators but everything seemed to go off smoothly. Everybody had an emotional moment--a quickening of the pulse and many spoke of it. I ventured the thought that my observation of the Juror's jovial behavior when boarding the elevator yesterday was indeed an indication that they had been relieved of their burden and had pretty well reached a verdict. That seems to be the way it turned out. They convened this morning at ten--probably for the final vote--and it was done.

Sheriff's officers then barred the public, (including Katie, alas), from the end of the hallway just outside the Arias Trial courtroom. Still, we hung in! At about 1:00 p.m., one of the officers announced that there were no public seats and, furthermore, we would all have to leave the fifth floor. That was the end of the action inside.

We, (the fifth-floor evictees) trooped outside into the crowd that had gathered and just blended in. Crowd was fairly tightly packed at the bottom of the stairs and at the sides and chanted "Justice for Travis" two or three times. Somehow the verdict was announced and the shouts of "Murder 1" "Premeditated Murder" "Guilty" went back and forth. A couple of thank Gods were mixed in there. Then the media took over and it was all their game. I tried to learn only one thing. "Did the Sheriff's Deputy immediately step up behind Arias and handcuff her at the moment immediately after the verdict was adjudicated by the Judge." Couldn't find anyone who knew.

You'll see a lot of the performances on TV for the rest of the day. Thise who were watching online got a better view of the climactic events than those of us who were down there did. To some down there, they seemed to take the verdict as a personal vindication. It takes all kinds. Gotta be proud of the fact that the system honed right in on the truth with laser-like precision; it held up; the people triumphed.

Jodi said, "No Jury will ever convict me." (subtext "cause I planned to be dead.") she was wrong in the first instance and had better keep planning.

Mitigation phase starts tomorrow. I won't be there.
