Death Row Information

Arizona's Death Row for Female inmates are housed at the Lumley Unit at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Perryville, near Goodyear Arizona. All executions are performed in Central Unit at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence in Florence Arizona.

All male and female inmates on Death Row are classified as maximum custody. All inmates are single cells which are equipped with a toilet, sink, bed and mattress. Each Death Row inmate has no contact with any other inmate. Out-of-cell time is limited to outdoor exercise in a secured area, two hours a day, three times a week, and a shower, three times a week. All meals are delivered by correction officers at the cell front. Limited non-contact visitation is available. Death Row inmates may place two ten minute telephone calls per week. Personal property is limited to hygiene items, two appliances, two books and writing materials, which can be purchased from the inmate commissary. Health care is provided at the Health Unit; medication is passed out at the cell front. Clergy contacts are provided at the cell.

And then when Deanna mentioned she had Napoleon....oh tearjerker. To think Stabby wanted to take the dog after she'd killed Travis. Good thing he made a will! But Travis should have married Deanna- not realizing what he had, a best friend and a sweet, gorgeous, classy woman to share the rest of his long life with. If only......

I saw, and someone can slap me silly , on After Dark, the judge from the Anna Nicole case say that the judge, the prosecution, and DT can go in and tell the jury to hurry up via some weird mandate? I was a little sleepy the time so I didn't record or remember what the mandate was called. He also said that Juan didn't have balls because he didn't go in to the jury room with the DT and cut a deal right now. OMG! I mean I am going crazy waiting but serious it has been 13hours. HLN says 3 days = SO not the same.

Anyone else think they are going to cause mayhem with the Zimmerman case they are already peddling? I mean the stupid "debates" preach shite because the lawyers/ppl only have PART of the facts!

NG was exceptionally bitchy last night. She was getting on everyones case. Jinkasaurus, one of her attorney pundits and the attorney who represented the Goldmans from the OJ case. NG asked him about Jodi writing a book. He said if there is no civil ruling on her income she could probably make millions. NG let loose on him! She asked for crap's sake -- he answered her. I often wonder what is up with the marriage she is in --- she never mentions him, only her twins and late fiance who made her a crime victim. She often cries when she talks about him. Did anyone watch the season of DWTS Nancy Grace was on and she farted during her interview??? Priceless.

Spent the day on the fifth floor of the Courthouse with the Jury watch crowd. Nothing of note happened. The crowd dwindled to twenty people around 3:30. Jurors filed out to the elevator shortly after 4:30. Just before the elevator doors closed, I heard them calling to one another by name, (I don't remember what that was) and joking. They appeared to be in a jovial mood. I'll try again tomorrow, but that will probably be it.

Especially that Jean C woman, what an attention seeking arse trying to create drama about a 'defiant' looking juror who's suddenly Sandy Arias' doppleganger. Fool.

Of all the characters involved in this trial, imo, Deanna is the most genuine and down to earth of the lot. She has some interesting insights on Travis, and told the cookie-baking story. In the interview, she mentions that if Jodi had killed one of Travis' friends, he would have wanted her to get the death penalty.

She is such a lovely, decent, HONEST girl. We all have 'if only' times in our life, this girl must be the biggest if only in the Alexanders' lives.

I'm not worried about the jury, I keep thinking "slashed throat, slashed throat" I just don't believe there's any way a jury of 12 allegedly sane people will put Arias back on the streets. I wonder if they are going round and round about the felony murder charge?

Like everyone else I'm hoping a verdict comes down today, the Alexanders have suffered enough.

I don't believe this will be a hung jury, though I'd rather that than a lesser finding.

I will blame the idiotic lone juror that caused a mistrial. I don't think they will come back with a 2nd degree conviction. It's either murder 1 or hung jury.

Keep the 'faith' Breach, positive attitude 'n all that jazz! I STILL totally believe they will come back with pre-med Murder 1. Unsure if it will be today, but it will come!!!

Hearing the stories coming out about the 3 Cleveland girls and the abuse they were subjected to makes me want to scream at JA: Really Jodi? You claim DV at the cruel hands of Travis? That it resulted in PTSD and you had to save your own life after you drove 1,000 miles to sneak into his house? I have total faith in the jurors to make the correct verdict. Seeing as how the majority of Arizona citizens feel about the case leads me to believe there is NO WAY the 12 people from AZ who are sitting in that Jury box will find her anything but guilty of M1. Penalty might be different but this group seem extremely committed to do the right thing and they want to give all aspects of the evidence a chance to bolster their M1 decision so there is no doubt in their minds they make the right decision.

Want you to know that none of the TV Reporters were around when those elevator doors closed and I heard the joking among at least some of the jurors. Reporters were downstairs outside the main doors doing their set-ups for their evening programs, (I hate to call them 'shows.' -- Just another little idiosyncrasy of mine.)

Catching up from last night as I fell asleep before the jurors left for the day (due to being another person living on that drizzly little island ;)) and saw Deanna's interview.
She is a true lady, kind and compassionate. She doesn't sound angry or bitter which she is more than entitled to be. I agree with you Sneakers, I have a bit of a girl crush on her, she's great.

I had a predicition that perhaps today would be the day and at 10:30am az time, which i would probably change to after lunch. Talking heads on HLN seemed to think it may be friday.

We have all seen the pics of how Jodi lived in California. With her dusty clutter filled room with her toddler bed. Oh man what a sharp contrast to TA's home. She wanted that home! I could go into an entire other story with this one. All I'm going to say, is that the people to REALLY DO kill themselves don't spend their lifetimes threatening it. They do it. Otherwise, from my own experience, they use it to manipulate people and get attention.

One of my 2 teenage/high school best friends said she was going to do it SOO FUCKING OFTEN, that when I had to call everyone for her Mum, to let them know about the funeral, not one person believed me. They all laughed. & for quite a while too. That's the fucked thing about it. Sometimes even the ones you think you've got sussed as nothing but attention seekers still go through with it.

I might have missed this in the threads as I scrolled through them but After Dark tonight had an awesome Smoking Gun moment!! We all know Jodi testified she always gets the same drink at Starbucks, right? A Strawberry Frapaccino. Well if you can imagine Jodi LIED about that!!! In her testimony she reviewed the night her and Travis went to Starbucks for a drink, Book of Mormon chat and a BJ........she testified TA had a Chai Tea and she had a (get ready for this) an Iced Latte!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for the Strawberry Frappe scenario!!

That right there is a great example of what's going to happen if we get a hung jury. The next time around, all of these little details that people keep finding, will sink her. I really do hope if this ends in a hung jury, Juan will prosecute her again.

For those who think it's boring, just sitting and waiting outside the courtroom for news of a verdict, think of it this way. It's like going to the theatre to see a good performance. The excitement builds as time draws closer to the curtain going up and the anticipation offsets the time you've been waiting for it to happen. As for Katie, she's just one of the group of watchers but she has blocked out her movements and position on the stage so that she can create the impression that she is not just another bit player in the background of the scene, (it's called upstaging). She is obviously trying to project herself into the center of the drama when, in reality, she's just part of the scenery and doesn't have any lines to speak. Mostly she stands over near the elevators, apart from the group, and confers with a group of friends and talks on her 'phone. You have to see it. I suspect that from her perspective, this is a good career move. Kinda like the Paris Hilton of the court watchers. She's well-groomed, (not at all orange), and adopts an attitude of benign tolerance when approached by someone who is not part of her little group. Katie is disciplined. She gets there at 6:30 in the morning and grabs the first seat in line. Then she parks some of her possessions there to save it, and moves over to the elevators. "I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille."

I'll let you all know what happens today. It's all interesting.
