Did you guys hear the nonsense about JA making a "throat slashing motion" in court? HLN is HARPING on that ridiculous fact. I mean, JA is a psycho for sure but I just dont see it. It looked completely like a random hand motion to me. Its hilarious how they try to make issues out of nonsense.

I am new to the site but I am so glad that I found it. I only started watching the trial from when Jodi was on the stand under cross. I stayed away from the trial because of what happened with the CA trial. I didn't want to be vested in the outcome emotionally and then have a such a let down in the system. But my mother has been glued to it and was keeping me updated so I finally just started watching.

I am actually from Yreka, I grew up there and left in 1999. I graduated HS in 1993 and I don't know Jodi but her mother used to be a waitress at a restaurant called "grandmas house" and I know her from there. My mother knows Jodi's grandparents, but not well. Before I moved I was a correctional officer at the jail where Jodi was housed and it is really weird to see it on tv. In fact it is really weird to hear Yreka named on the TV in general. It is a very small and rural town and the nearest city is almost an hour away.

Thanks to everyone for posting here with information, you all really helped catch me up on the trial.

Most of you know that I am a therapist and work primarily with antisocial and borderline personality disorders.
I worked with a young lady about three years ago that made her 17. I could not dx her with a full on personality disorder but she was now that I look back very Jodiesque! I always knew one day that she would do something irreversible. She is 20 now. This weekend I click on our local news and find that she has murdered a man for his car. No provocation, no heat of passion, he was not an ex-boyfriend just a poor guy who got caught up with the wrong woman. I guess my point is....it really can and does happen to anyone!

I'm back to thinking about the shower photo.

I wonder how so much blood ended up in the bottom of that shower? According to The Prosecutor, Travis was shot "in the face" (listen to his closing argument, not in the head but in the face), AFTER he was dead. All of his blood was on the carpet and his heart was not beating. Then Jodi dragged him in the shower. And that shower shows quite a bit of congealed blood in the bottom in those photos! There should be almost no blood because all of the wounds happened outside the shower, including him bleeding out all of his blood with the throat slash. He lost so much blood his heart stopped pumping and his gunshot wound did not bleed. So how did he bleed so much after that in shower?

Secondary question for The Prosecutor - Travis was shot in the face? In closing arguments, Martinez said he was shot in the face. Not in the brain. Not in the head. But in the face... reopens the whole argument about Horny's typo and Geffner's testimony.

TA's had nine stab wounds in his back, a huge slash to his throat, wounds to his legs and feet, numerous wounds to his chest and torso, a shot to the head and stab wounds to his head. After you are dead and heart is longer bleeding your wounds will still leak blood, etc. Don't forget he sat there for 5 days before he was found so decomp was happening . That shower pic says to me that she did not shower in there either with or without TA's body.

I think with him laying in that shower for so long that it's probably a combo of leached blood and decomp fluids................. it sounds so gross but it's so horribly sad!
